Zenaya's remorse

Chapter 77: A Handful of Facts.

In this life, there is nothing more grateful to the Reagents than what they feel now.

Reagents know that he is not a Servant who is subject to the commandment of God. There were so many sins that he had committed up to this moment. However, God was still willing to give a little happiness to him. One of them is a reply to the feeling of love that for decades has been buried deep in the heart of the man.

The relationship between the two may have to start with a mistake. Not to mention, Reagen also had to go through all sorts of hatred from the woman he loved so much. But thanks to the patience and sincere proof shown by him, he was able to restore Zenaya's feelings as before.

However, their relationship did not just run smoothly. Reagents and Zenaya had to go through several trials, which even threatened the safety of their families.

The reagents think it's over when the biggest problem that's happened to their family can finally be solved. He even confidently made a promise to Zenaya to always make her happy.

But what should he do now. Another fact struck his soul. The fact that seemed reluctant to let the Reagen keep a line of promises, which he had said to the wife.

Reagents were unable to respond when her brother-in-law, Adryan, read the diagnosis from a series of examinations she had done for some time.

The doctor who previously handled the Reagen, referred the man to come to the brother-in-law, who did deal with this kind of disease.

Reagents clenched both of his hands which started to feel cold. Trying to control all the feelings raging in the man's mind.

While Adryan himself, trying not to squeeze the diagnosis of the sister-in-law. His mind grimaced, thinking about how the Reagents would go through all this, and what Zenaya's reaction would look like, if he knew it later.

Although the relationship with Reagen is not too good, it does not mean that Adryan does not care about the condition of his sister-in-law.

Reagents looked at Adryan seriously. "Is this the effect of the accident I've had? Plus the last fight of that time." He let out his voice slowly, trying not to sound shaken.

"No. The cause of this cancer cannot be known for certain." Answer Adryan.

Reagents flinch for a moment. "Then, what should I do?" ask him with a hard face.

"Stage three has faster growth and can spread to other areas of the brain. We will perform surgery to remove some of the tumor. After that, we will do radiation therapy to destroy cancer cells that can not be lifted, as well as chemotherapy." Adryan explained in easy language to his sister-in-law.

Hearing Adryan's explanation, a sigh escaped from Reagents mouth. That means he has to give up most of his time to get well.

"What if it's postponed first? At least until Zenaya gives birth later?" ask Reagent.

"You know Rey's answer, I explained it at the beginning." Adryan stared intently at the Reagents.

Pensive reagents. If he does the treatment now, it could be that he will not be able to accompany Zenaya through his later childbirth.

"Zenaya has to keep her condition stable, and I also want to accompany my wife through her pregnancy, until the time of the birth of our child arrives" he said.

Adryan breathed. On one hand he understood very well what Reagents were feeling, but on the other, he was worried about his condition. "You know it can't be Rey. You can still accompany Zenaya once she's well again."

"Are you sure I can get back to health?"

The Reagents' next question left Adryan silent for a moment. "Brain cancer is not completely curable, but you know that there are people with stage four brain cancer who can live for many years. So, it's not impossible that you can be like that, as long as it's handled from now on."

"Give me a clear .. I don't want anyone to know this first, especially Zenaya." Reagen looked at his sister-in-law with an imploring look.

Adryan took a deep breath. For now, he had agreed to the Reagents request to keep everything a secret. "In that case, I will prescribe pain medication for a while. If your headache returns, don't delay contacting me. Understood?"

"Remember, Rey, the drug is only temporary. You need to be dealt with immediately!" Adryan warned him once more.

Reagen nodded his head and retreated from Adryan's room.

After the death of his sister-in-law, Adryan frowned painfully.

Reagent chose to leave his car in the hospital, and walk somewhere.

The man just let his feet step in an indeterminate direction.

While walking, the memory of the flashback of his meeting with Zenaya first, again present filled the contents of the Reagents head. The memory at once disturbed his mind which is now being injured.

The reagent grimaced, realizing that he was never good enough to do anything for Zenaya. All these years he could even just infuse a gaping wound on the woman. Until God finally reunited them, all he gave once again was a deep wound and trauma.

The reagent himself had actually never really understood, why he could behave so vilely. The feeling of love that has been buried for decades, he could never prove in the right way.

Most of the tears that Zenaya let out were tears of sadness, and even more painful, those tears were the result of her actions.

"Please promise me we'll be happy,"

"I promise you, we'll be happy."

The reflex reagents stopped his steps, and clutched firmly at his chest which began to feel tight.

Just a line of words that Zenaya wanted. A line of words that he should be able to keep easily, before the harsh reality shattered the entire dream he had arranged one after another.

Reagent growling restrained. The man covered his face and cried sobbing. He even let himself sit on the asphalt, when his legs were no longer strong on foot.

Liam and Amanda frowned when they found their firstborn son coming home with a matted face.

The man did not even greet his parents who were enjoying dinner, and went past them just like that, if Liam did not reprimand him.

"What what what, honey? You sick?" ask Amanda to worry.

Adryan. "I'm just tired and need rest" he replied briefly.

"Will not eat first? Or, will Mama take her food to the room?" ask Amanda again.

Adryan shook his head again. "I want to go straight to sleep" the eldest refused while climbing the steps to the second floor.

"What's wrong with that kid?" amanda muttered as she stared at her son's departure with a worried look.

"Maybe it's just a job issue. Lately he has more patients." Liam tries to quell his wife's worries. He told the woman to continue eating again.
