Zenaya's remorse

Zenaya's remorse
Chapter 48: The Past of Reagents and Zenaya.

The news of the orphanage that was about to close spread to the ears of the important colleagues Robert and Liam, and from those colleagues, Walker Group heard it.

Walker's family-owned company is often a regular donor at several orphanages. Therefore, when Craig heard it, without a second thought he immediately helped Mrs. Anna resolves a land dispute case and takes care of all the orphanage children, such as health issues, food stables and also their school. Not only that, Walker Group also renovated the building and enlarged the parlour a little to make it more comfortable occupied them.

The attention Craig showed was not just that. The man personally often came there to visit the orphanage children and see their development. He even brought his wife and two sons to mingle with the brothers who were there.

...***...

Since the orphanage has received regular donors, Cole Inc. and Winston General Hospital no longer need to hold free treatment there. Although they did not mind, Craig refused.

"It would be better if the medical rations here were given to other orphanages or nursing homes that are more in need."

That was the reason Craig was when they asked him the reason for his refusal.

However, to appreciate their kindness, Craig also held a small party by inviting the two companies.

"Sorry, we came a little late" Liam told Mrs. Anna came to greet him.

"It's okay, Mr. Liam." Mrs. Anna commented a friendly smile. The kind woman greeted Zenaya who was next to her father.

"Hello pretty, you just came with your dad?" ask Mrs. Anna's.

Zenaya nodded. " Mommy was at work, so me and Dad just came here, Aunty," she said with a smile.

Mrs. Anna stroked Zenaya's hair. The woman also invited them to join the others, as well as introducing Liam to Craig, as the owner of the event. The two men had never met face to face at all.

"Thank you for your presence." Craig extended his hand to Liam.

Liam received Craig's hand. "We thank you for inviting you."

The man then turned his attention to Zenaya.

"Hello sweet boy," said Craig, gently rubbing Zenaya's head. "

Zenaya smiled shyly. The little girl thanked him as Craig praised his cute face.

Before long, Giselle, a good friend of Zenaya, comes to the girl and invites her to play in the back garden. While the adults chatted in the front yard of the parlour.

...***...

Zenaya and her three little friends were running around in the garden behind the orphanage laughing. After being content to play around, the four decided to race baby's breath flower arrangement to be a beautiful crown.

Zenaya looked confident, because he was already good at arranging the flowers. The knowledge given by Giselle can now be applied well by the little girl.

...***...

"Kids, it's lunch time!" shouted the caretakers from the end of the park.

Hearing the call of the caretakers, the children who were playing in the park immediately disbanded, not least with Giselle, Clara, and Lidya.

"Zen, let's eat first!" giselle, followed by Clara and Lidya.

"Stage. You guys go first, I'll catch up" Zenaya replied without distracting her from the baby's breath flowers.

"Later we can continue again." This time it was Lidya who opened her voice.

"I can't leave this. You go first, I'll be done soon."

The three girls threw each other a glance.

"alright. Don't you wait, Zen!" giselle's message to Zenaya as she ran away leaving the girl alone.

Zenaya only turned his head for a moment before continuing his activities.

...***...

"Giselle, where's Zenaya going?" ask Mrs. Anna when she sees Giselle is only back with Clara and Lidya.

"She's still busy arranging baby's breath flowers, Mom," replied Giselle.

"Well, didn't you tell me to eat?" Mrs. Anna frowned.

"Stage said." Lidya answered while pointing one of the food she wanted to Miss Sharon, one of the caretakers who took her food.

Mrs. Anna turned her head towards Liam who looked engrossed in eating while chatting elsewhere.

"Yes, then Mommy call first." Mrs. Anna got up from her seat and was about to go look for Zenaya. But suddenly, the Reagents who were sitting near them made a sound.

"Let me call him" the 7-year-old bargained. Reagents apparently had heard their conversation.

"No need, Rey. Let alone aunty," refused Mrs. Anna's.

"It's okay, Aunty." The reagent stood up from his seat and placed the empty dinner plate on the table.

Jennia who was next to the child then smiled kindly. "Please, honey?"

The reagent nodded and immediately ran towards the back garden of the parlour.

Arriving there, Reagen finds a little girl in a wave of water sitting among a flower bed baby's breath has just been collected. The girl looks focused on arranging baby's breath flowers to form a beautiful crown. There is a crown that has been completed.

Slowly Reagents stepped towards Zenaya.

When they felt their distance was close enough, Reagen immediately shouted to him. "Hey!"

Zenaya did not respond. Her hands were still busy arranging one after another baby's breath flower pieces.

Reagents frowned. Though he was sure his voice was already very loud, but the girl did not respond to his call at all.

"Hey, little girl!"

Zenaya who was bowed suddenly raised her head.

The gentle breeze that was present hit Zenaya's long hair, making the Reagen unable to take his eyes off to anywhere. Similarly when the little girl's netra hazel returned her gaze.

The two looked at each other for a moment before then, Zenaya cried for a moment.

The reagent was surprised by Zenaya's cry.

"Hey, why are you crying?" the little man panicked. He sat down before Zenaya and held her shoulder.

Instead of answering Zenaya even more hardened his cries.

"Hey! What's wrong, anyway!" pekik Reagents are irritated. He looked back and forth, afraid that someone might catch them and thought that he had hurt Zenaya.

"My man!" peekkik Zenaya while pointing Reagen's legs.

The reagent follows the Zenaya's line of sight.

It turned out that the newly finished flower crown made by the girl had accidentally been stepped on the feet of the Reagen.

The reflex reagent raised his leg and raised the crown of the already shapeless flower.

"Sstt, don't cry! I don't know, I'm sorry" said Reagen in a panic, as Zenaya continued her sobs.

"I've taken great pains to make it and you ruthlessly destroyed my crown!" zenaya.

"Sorry, sorry! Already, lower the sound of your sobs. If anyone hears later I can be blamed."

"You are wrong!" sahut Zenaya is upset. His eyes were squeaking cynical reagents.

"I was, wasn't, accidentally!" exclaiming irritated reagents. He had only intended to help summon Zenaya, but due to this little incident, the Reagents were a little regretful.

"You have to take responsibility!" zenaya.

"With what?" ask Reagent.

"Make a new flower. I don't want to know!"

"I can't!" Reagent ruffled his hair in frustration.

"I don't want to know, you're haru–"

Zenaya's words came to a halt instantly as Reagen suddenly landed his kiss on the little girl's cheek.

The reagent had no other idea to stop Zenaya's cries, other than to recklessly kiss her. He had heard from his father that he should always kiss his mother if he wanted to stop her sobbing, and Reagen was just trying to model his father's words.

That seems to work. The little girl was now just unmoved with a very reddened face.

"Well, I promise to make you a new crown, but you'll have to come with me for lunch first. How's it?" Reagents offer a deal.

Zenaya nodded quickly. He no longer cried as hard as he did. With the help of Reagents, the girl rose from the grass.

"Aw!" pekik Zenaya's.

"Why?"

"My feet hurt," Zenaya replied with eyes that returned glistening.

Reagent exhaled. He also squatted in front of Zenaya. "Come on, get on my back!"

Zenaya nodded and slowly climbed up onto the back of the Reagent. Both of them continued their journey to the home.

Note: Who asked why Liam and Craig didn't know each other when they first met again. The answer is because the above incident has been more than 20 years, so it is natural to forget. They are old enough now. 😊
