I'll be a little late. Wait right there. Don't go anywhere.
That's the line that Reagents sent to Zenaya a few minutes ago. However, the man had yet to appear before him. Zenaya did deliberately take overtime today in order to directly sleep when he arrived at home. After last night, she was too embarrassed to face her husband.
Zenaya rubbed both of her arms to reduce the cold, which began to creep all over her body.
David, who was walking to the outside of the lobby, frowned when he saw that Zenaya was still there. The reason is, the woman was already saying goodbye when they passed each other earlier, and that was already fifteen minutes ago.
Without a second thought, the man walked over to Zenaya.
"Zen," call David.
Zenaya. "Dav, you just want to go home?" ask the woman.
David nodded. "You haven't come home yet? Where's your husband?" asked David while looking over and over.
Zenaya. "He was late" he replied.
Zenaya crossed her arms while occasionally rubbing her arms that were not covered with cloth. The woman did not appear to be carrying a coat.
"It's getting colder tonight, I'd better take it. You can call your husband later," bargained the man later.
"No need, he'll be here any minute." Refuse smooth.
"Alright, I'll keep you company for ten minutes here, if he hasn't come yet, you should come with me."
Zenaya seemed to weigh up David's offer before finally agreeing to the offer.
David kindly opened his coat and enveloped Zenaya.
"Dav, I–" said Zenaya stammered.
"It's okay. Just until you're picked up."
Both of them were silent for a moment while waiting for the arrival of the Reagen. However, already past ten minutes, the man had not appeared at all either.
Zenaya was just about to grab her phone, when David suddenly pulled the woman's hand. "It's been over ten minutes, you better come with me. Night air like this is not good for pregnant women" David said without caring about the Zenaya protests.
David took Zenaya to his parked car not far from there.
...***...
In the car, the two chatted a lot about work. David even throws occasional jokes to make Zenaya laugh. What's more, the streets tonight look deserted, so within 20 minutes, they've reached Zenaya's apartment.
"Thank you, Dav. I'm sorry to bother you" Zenaya said before getting out of the car.
"It doesn't have to be. Friends should help each other, right? " David gave me a friendly smile. "Send my regards to your husband. I hope he still remembers me" she continued.
Zenaya nodded and got out of the car. The woman waited there until David's car completely disappeared from her sight. After that, he climbed into the elevator to his unit.
It's blank! There's no one there.
"Geez!" Zenaya squealed a little. Fun chatting on the street made the woman forget to report her return to the Reagents.
"I'll–"
Brak!
The sound of the door buzzing made Zenaya scream in shock. Reagents enter the apartment with a cold face.
"Don't I tell you to stay there. Don't go anywhere before I come!" exclaim that man.
"You're taking too long. I was among friends and forgot to tell you." Answer Zenaya honestly.
"Forgot from being too engrossed in chatting in the car with David?" Reagents put on a cold smile.
Zenaya scrunched his forehead. "You know what?" ask the woman in wonder.
"When the man's car came out, I just came. We actually passed each other, and you were too engrossed in throwing laughter at her, not even realizing where I was." Reagents try to control their emotions. The shadow of the wife's face that seemed happy when with David, still continues to wander in the contents of the man's head.
The fact that Zenaya never once gave her that smile, added another wound to the Reagents heart.
Reagent then turned his gaze to the thick coat that was still slung on Zenaya's shoulder.
"I never remember you having that coat" Reagen said.
Zenaya. He realized that David's coat was still on him.
"It's David's, I'll return it tomorrow." Zenaya turned around to get inside the bathroom.
"I never mind anyone coming home with you, as long as it's not a man. Especially a guy like David!" Reagents give a firm ultimatum.
Zenaya stopped her steps. "What happened to David? You can't keep me from hanging out with anyone. What's more, I've known David for a long time and we've been good friends up until now."
Reagents were talking about the incident a few months ago, when David drove her home after dinner in the park. The man landed a light peck on Zensya's forehead, and Reagen saw clearly from inside the car.
"That was. Now he knows I'm married." Zenaya tried to reason, even deep down, for some reason she felt guilty about Reagents.
"It's not that easy a man forgets the woman he loves." There was another look in the eye, when Reagents said that.
"I don't want to fight with you, and he doesn't love me" Zenaya said.
"She obviously likes you, admires you, loves you!" Reagents remain stubborn.
"That's not true!" zenaya Sentak. He did not accept his good friend in such slander. David clearly only considers Zenaya to be nothing more than a good friend, as well as a sister.
"What evidence? Can you give me a little example of his attitude that doesn't involve feeling for you?" Reagents asked a stark question that instantly made Zenaya shut up instantly.
"Everything he does to you is a form of his love, Zenaya Walker!" The reagent pressed the woman's name to give her affirmation.
Zenaya bowed for a moment. He was not unaware of this, only, Zenaya still wanted to be good friends with David. After all, the man knew he was married.
"You're meddling too much in my business. The gentle attitude I showed turned out to make you feel like you have a right over me." Zenaya tried to stay evil as usual.
"I do have rights over you, Zenaya!" exciting Reagents.
"You don't have that! I'm not your puppet!"
"I have it." Reagents walked over to Zenaya.
The sudden fear present harassed Zenaya once she clearly saw the sharp gaze of the Reagents. The woman took a step back. "Stay away from me! On what basis ka–!"
"I'm your husband!" Snapped the man unconscious. Reflek she pulled Zenaya and kissed her lips.
Zenaya. Memories of events then suddenly returned to pass in his head.
Zenaya was about to push Reagan, fearing that the man would be rude again. But it doesn't seem so.
Reagents gently hugged his waist, while throwing David's coat still draped over his shoulder.
Before long, the Reagents took off their pagutan. The man's forehead stuck to his forehead.
"I love you, Zenaya. Can't you see it now? It's all wrong that I did because I love you so much" Reagen said.
Zenaya. Let alone opening his mouth, moving a little he was unable to do so.
"Lose your trauma, Zen. I'll make up for it by any means." Reagent eyes open.
Zenaya looked straight at the man. She realized the beauty of her husband's eye color.
The reagent slowly held onto Zenaya's stomach. When viewed from afar, the wife's stomach does seem flat, but when she holds it, she can tell that there is another life growing there.
Both of their heartbeats were beating hard.
The reagent rested his lips on the woman. "I love you, Zenaya. You're all mine. I'll never let you run anywhere."
The possessive statement of the Reagent resuscitates everything.
Zenaya broke away from the Reagen and took his jacket which was in the standing hanger.
"Let me alone. Don't look for me."
Without looking back, Zenaya left the Reagen apartment unit just like that.
"5**H1T!" The man cursed himself. He could have said that. Zenaya needs more time and he needs to have more patience.
