Zenaya's remorse

Zenaya's remorse
Chapter 30: Starting a New Life.

Jennia looked at her two daughters-in-law with a sad look, especially at Zenaya. The two sons insisted on taking their wives home. Noah had been staying there for too long, while Reagen reasoned to immediately live independently with Zenaya.

The day after the wedding was over, they had been living in the Walker family residence for a while, and now they had been there for exactly ten days.

"The house will be deserted again without you," said Jennia.

"We'll come back here often, Ma" said Zenaya, commenting on her smile.

"Yes, Ma. Bella can't even leave Grandma and her Grandpa for long." Krystal chimed in on the words of Zenaya.

Jennia put on a smile. "Well, what's important is that you call Mama often?" the woman's message to her two favorite daughters-in-law.

Krystal and Zenaya nodded obediently. The woman's heart warmed more and more. Initially, Zenaya thought the Walker family would be difficult to accept his presence. However, they turned out to be so happy and loved Zenaya very much. Craig and Jennia never even distinguished themselves with Krystal.

So did Noah and Krystal. Both of them strongly accepted Zenaya's presence as their sister-in-law.

Krystal and Zenaya often even exchanged thoughts about pregnancy. The graceful woman kindly answered any questions Zenaya had about her pregnancy at a young age, including morning sickness.

Gray was no longer in the heart of the woman. Though hatred still lies faithfully with the Reagents, but he loves the husband's family.

...***...

"Take care of Zenaya, Rey," Craig told Reagen. This afternoon they were going to leave the main house. Noah, Krystal and Bella have been home since this morning.

"Yes, Pa," replied the Reagen solemnly.

Craig patted Reagen's shoulder. The middle-aged man was no longer worried about their relationship. During the ten days of being there, Reagen and Zenaya looked fine. Indeed, sometimes Zenaya could not hide her hatred for the Reagents, and she understood that.

Eliminating trauma is not easy. Zenaya was able to accept this marriage alone, it was already a miracle.

The reagent then turns to Jennia and hugs the mother tightly.

"Please take care of your daughter-in-law and granddaughter yes, dear. You also have to take care of your health." Jennia patted the back of the Reagent full of affection.

"Surely, Ma," replied Reagen.

Reagent took off his embrace. He was waiting for Zenaya who was hugging his father. The man seemed to be giving a little advice.

"Good, Pa." That's all Reagents can hear.

After finishing with Craig, the woman turns to her mother-in-law who suddenly cries.

For some reason, it was hard to let Zenaya live alone with the Reagents. Watching for himself how Zenaya had to undergo therapy in order to get back up, made his heart suddenly turn upside down.

He hopes that the relationship between the two will improve soon.

"Please call Mama if you need anything, baby," Jennia said as she hugged Zenaya tightly.

"Good, Ma." Zenaya returned her mother-in-law's embrace equally tightly.

"Should have been, Mama didn't have to say this, but ... Zen, live well with the Reagents, huh? Mama knows, it's not easy to make peace with the past, but Mama really hopes you can live a good housewife to be able to achieve happiness."

Jennia let go of her hug on Zenaya, then held both of the woman's cheeks.

Hearing her mother-in-law's sincere hope, Zenaya shed tears. Her drops fell on Jennia's back.

"Don't cry, honey. I'm sorry, Mama, if your words offended you" said the woman worried.

Zenaya. "No, Ma. I'm just gonna miss Mama and Papa here" she said. "Will we always do, Ma?" keep the woman.

"Sure, sweetie, sure!"

Seeing the interaction between his wife and mother made Reagen feel very sinful. Perhaps, they wouldn't have to grieve like this if he hadn't made a fatal mistake.

Not wanting sadness to return to them, Craig told his two children to get into the car immediately.

"Be careful, honey," Jennia's message read.

Both left the main house.

...***...

Along the way, Zenaya was only able to be pensive. A flashback to the events of a few months ago suddenly haunts his mind.

Their house is still under construction, so Zenaya inevitably has to live in the dark apartment. He could not continue to live in the Reagen family residence, nor in his family residence.

Actually, Zenaya was about to accept the Reagents offer to move into a rented apartment. However, upon retrospect, Zenaya rejected the offer. Although Reagents are capable, but Zenaya still feels bad.

It only takes an hour from the main house to the Reagen apartment, which they will occupy. The man no longer parked his car in the basement, but in the apartment lobby.

Zenaya got off the car, followed by Reagen. The man handed the car over to the valet officer who was available.

Not much stuff Zenaya brought there. There was only a large bag of makeup and bathing equipment, as well as two medium-sized suitcases containing her clothes.

They immediately entered a special elevator that directly connected it into the Reagen apartment.

The closer they get to the apartment unit, the stronger the Zenaya's heartbeat. The woman looked extremely agitated and Reagents did realize that.

"We don't have to stay here" the man said suddenly.

Zenaya did not answer. He tried to hold back his footing so as not to waver.

Moments later, the elevator stops right at the Reagen apartment unit. The two of them got out of there and walked inside.

Zenaya who had been afraid could now breathe a sigh of relief. Reagents remodeled the entire apartment and changed their sleeping beds.

Although the layout remained the same, but there was not the slightest trace that reminded Zenaya of the event. Everything in that place looked new.

Reagents carried Zenaya's suitcase up to her wardrobe.

"You can put all your clothes here." The man pointed to one side of the closet that was still empty, while the other side was already filled with his clothes.

Unasked twice, Zenaya began tidying up her personal belongings, while Reagen chose to cook dinner.

Living alone in the land of people for a long time, makes the man good at everything, especially cooking. He did not hire a housekeeper to take care of his apartment.
