THE RISE OF THE DRAGON.

THE RISE OF THE DRAGON.
26. STEALING BOX.

Given his knowledge of arrays, even though these arrays were more complex compared to the ones he knew,

they all have the same outline.

If he could find the weakest link, he could quickly destroy the array and escape with the box.

But he wasn't in a hurry, even if he found the link now, he couldn't attack because he had to make sure he was moving at the best time.

The group from the Qilin empire already had the upper hand, and he predicted they were most likely

would win the battle because the other group was already exhausted from the previous battle with the ferocious beasts.

“You better just give up. Some of you are already injured, and there is no way you can compete with us ”

The prince tried to convince the group.

It would be best if they did not need to waste their energy to fight in a prolonged battle.

The other group all looked disappointed, they had worked so hard just to get here. Even defeating a savage beast was not easy, either,

but now, someone wanted to take the results from their hard work. They don't want to accept it, they can't.

They would rather fight with them, what if what was inside the box was a life-changing item.

The battle soon entered an important stage with both groups attacking more fiercely.

Ui Yong Jiang knew the time had come because there was no way he would wait for them to finish fighting before he made a move.

Now that they were more focused on their opponent, they would not be able to see him as he slipped towards the box. He had already chosen the weak link in the array.

‘Now’

“It's ours, we can't let them have it”

A young man said tenaciously.

The sneaking Ui Yong Jiang looked at the young man and inevitably felt their decision to fight was not the best.

From the moment he witnessed the battle until now, they were on the losing side.

Even there seemed to be no hope for them to be able to turn things around, yet they still chose to persist stubbornly.

Maybe they have a trump card, he's not so sure. It is not cowardly to admit defeat when you know there is no hope of winning.

Although there are times in life when even though you know there is no way for you to win, you should not admit defeat, Ui Yong Jiang felt this was not the time.

They were in the trial ground, the land where treasures should be plentiful.

There was no way they could not find another treasure, why would they want to give up their lives just because of one?

Well, thanks to their stubbornness, he had the opportunity to become a person who benefited.

If the group gave up, there was no way he would think of stealing the treasure.

He wouldn't even be here because he would soon leave that place when he saw the group from the Qilin empire.

The thought of stealing the box only popped into his head when he realized what was going on,

he saw an opportunity when the other group decided to fight firmly.

But he admired their courage, even though he felt their choice was not a wise choice.

He even felt his current choice of action was impulsive because if he was caught, it would not be good.

The group from the Qilin empire would definitely not let go.

He was already lucky they had not attacked him the first time, stealing the treasure was no different from slapping their faces.

Well, that's with the premise that he was arrested. If he managed to steal the treasure and leave the place without anyone realizing it, then it would be fine.

The explosion!

An attack avoided by a student from Starlight Academy landed near Ui Yong Jiang.

‘!What the hell, it surprised me!’

Ui Yong Jiang almost shouted out loudly. Fortunately, he was able to quickly regain his composure.

The attack landed just five meters away from him. If he was exposed to it, it would be a painful experience.

There were many items in the hall that he could hide easily as he walked towards the box.

He would stop and look at the battle to ascertain if he still had to continue his plan. It wouldn't be funny if the moment he stepped out to pick up the box, the battle ended and the two groups stared at him.

Attacks flew left and right in battle and the group from the Qilin empire gained more advantage against their opponents.

If it continues like this, the battle will end at most ten minutes. Well, that was enough time for him to pick up the box and run away.

The distance from the door to the other side of the hall was almost five hundred meters, this showed how big the hall was. Currently, Ui Yong Jiang was already over a hundred meters away.

There was the corpse of one of the dead beasts about sixty meters away from him. This would also be one of the things he would use to hide from the group of fighters.

“Arghh”

One of the young men screamed in pain.

Hearing that shout, the others from his group all looked in the direction. They saw one of their comrades was seriously injured by his opponent.

“Ah! You animals!”

The other youth bellowed furiously and increasing the ferocity of his attacks, he was not the only one, his comrades were also doing the same.

The young man from the Qilin empire furrowed his brows as this was not the result he had expected.

According to his speculation, after seeing their comrades severely injured, they would decide to retreat because their hope of victory would also be reduced due to the injury.

But suddenly, they all attacked with a new spirit. It seemed like seeing their comrades get hurt was a form of motivation for them.

The young man gave a cold snort before he continued his attack.

Ui Yong Jiang looked at all of them and quite surprised, these people were extremely excited.

‘Well, the more they fight, the better for me’

Ui Yong Jiang thought as he quietly moved towards the body of the dead beast.

When he got there, he crouched down on the side of the beast. Given its size, there was no problem to hide Ui Yong Jiang's body despite lying on the ground.

By the time Ui Yong Jiang fought with the beast, he had estimated it to be at least six meters tall.

Ui Yong Jiang who once again focused his attention on the battle, failed to realize that the beast whose eyes were closed before, was currently staring at him.

He even placed his hands on the beast's head as he remained in a squatting position.

‘Any, what's this stench? I didn't realize it a moment ago’.

The beast whose mouth was currently open was breathing slowly. The foul smell coming out from the beast's mouth quickly enveloped Ui Yong Jiang's nose.

Trying to sniff out where the stench was coming from, Ui Yong Jiang's head uncontrollably turned towards the beast. In fact, his head was right in front of his mouth.

Ui Yong Jiang's heart almost jumped through his throat as he subconsciously retreated. After observing the beast carefully, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Sigh ,That almost scared me half to death’

Although the beast was still breathing, it was no different from his dead companions around the hall, he was unable to move due to the injuries he had sustained.

Ui Yong Jiang looked around to check if his sudden movements reminded anyone, but he felt relieved when he saw they were still fighting in earnest.

“Time to join your friends”

Ui Yong Jiang muttered as he stabbed one of his swords through the beast's eyes.

The blade quickly moved from the eye and reached the beast's brain. The beast twitched as its blade hit its eyes, but the twitch stopped as the blade reached its brain.

After killing the beast, he examined the group once more. Seeing they saw nothing, he continued to sneak steadily towards the box.

Two minutes later…

‘Understanding’

Ui Yong Jiang thought excitedly as he broke his arrangement. It was not as easy as he thought, the arrangement was much more complex.

Looking at him from afar, he already knew that his level was not the same as the one he had dealt with.

But when he tries to solve it, he has to reevaluate.

At first, he thought the difference would not be too much, but after knowing it, he realized how big the difference was.

The little contact he had with this array almost felt like he was introduced to a new world with endless possibilities.

And he wanted to explore more, but now was not the time to think about arrays.

He slowly picked up the box from the erected stone, and once again began to sneak quietly towards the door.

‘Hehe, before they realized what happened, I had long gone’

Ui Yong Jiang sneered in his mind as he carefully slipped into the door so that he could escape.

Bang out!

A voice echoed in the room, in contrast to when the attack landed on the wall of the hall, it sounded like someone was hitting the wall.

Taking a closer look, Ui Yong Jiang realized it was a young man from the Qilin empire. Seeing where he landed, Gray broke out in cold sweat.

The young man was sent flying, and he crashed into a wall near where the box was supposed to be.

When he managed to stand up, he realized the stone he used to support himself looked familiar.

He was quite surprised by the sense of familiarity he got from the stone, but he ignored it when he did not know the reason.

Just as he was about to return to the fight, he suddenly gasped and looked back at the stone.

“Where is the box?”

He shouted loudly.

At this moment, Ui Yong Jiang was already fifty meters away from the door.

‘Shoppers! Why should they drop it in that direction?’

Ui Yong Jiang swore as he immediately ran towards the door.

Right now, there was nothing he could hide behind and as they had realized that the box was gone, it was missing,

they will search all over the place. They might even block the door until they were sure the person was no longer inside the building.

Staying here, was not a wise choice for him.

The battle stopped instantly when they heard the young man. How could they still continue to fight, when what they were fighting for had been lost?

“Where is this?”

The prince asked with a cold face.

‘No one else in the hall, or could it be ..’

He quickly looked towards the door but only saw the back of the fleeing Ui Yong Jiang.

“There!”

The prince ran towards the door.

When the others saw this, they immediately followed behind him.
