23. SECOND EXAM.

“I think we should continue, maybe we can get something good if we can finish it”

Yong We was the first to speak up.

“You should also be aware that in any trial, the second round tends to be more difficult than the first.

We would be in a difficult place if all we faced was an opponent in Origin Plane”

Mei ling spoke up after a while.

The others agreed with what he said, the ordeal was usually like this.

But still, there was no way they would know what they were going to face until they entered the place.

“But... I still think we should continue because this is a rare opportunity for us”.

She added.

“Giok Lin”

Ui Yong Jiang and the others looked at him.

Now, all they were waiting for was his decision, if he said they should not continue, then they should get out of the palace.

“Of course we will continue”

Jade Lin's lips curved upwards. He had always been a person who loved challenges, so there was no way he would miss this.

“Big! Since we've all agreed to this, we'll continue the trial”

exclaimed Ui Yong Jiang in excitement, he would feel sad if they did not continue the trial.

The group looked at each other before walking towards the door in front of them.

After passing through it, they appeared in a cave. The only thing different about this place is that

the door they used to enter the place was still there, which meant they could leave the place at any time.

In front of them were three paths, now they had to choose which path to take.

Seeing that they had to make a decision about which path to take, Ui Yong Jiang, Jade Lin, and Yong we looked at Mei Ling simultaneously.

Sensing their gazes, Mei Ling looked back at them, looking back,

“Why are you all staring at me?”

The confused Mei Ling asked.

“Well, which road do you think we should take?”

Yong We asked what the other two had in mind.

“Why are you asking me? I've never been here before, so how do I know?”

Mei ling cursed, she did not know whether to laugh or cry.

After the quarrel between Mei Ling and Yong we, the group finally agreed on how to choose the path.

Since the four of them, and there were three roads, they all had to point at one road at the same time, the road designated by two or more people, would be the path they would take.

In the end, Mei ling and Yong we pointed to the same path.

Which one was in the middle, as they all walked onto the path, a voice like the last one sounded.

“Second Trial: Lost Cave, Destination: Find Exit Door, Time Limit: No”

The voice became silent after this.

Mei ling asked the group to start walking forward.

Two days later…

The fourth voice spoke, only it was softer compared to the others.

This was obviously Ui Yong Jiang and his group, they had been wandering in the cave for two to the present day, he said,

What was worse was that they had been attacked by various groups of ferocious beasts within the cave, with the most bats.

Mei ling shouted loudly.

The duo once again started the cussing session. It's not the first time they've done this on the way,

Ui Yong Jiang was used to it, so he did not even have any plans to stop them.

He summoned Jade Lin and showed her what he had been working on as they walked in the labyrinth-like cave for these two days.

He had carefully tried to make a map after they had started walking inside the cave,

although it was inaccurate, at least it was better than just walking blindly.

The group once again began their journey, with the map that Ui Yong Jiang had made, they were unable to walk in circles anymore.

But there were still times when the route on the map was wrong, and they had to fix it after circling around.

Five days later…

“Finally!”

Mei ling exclaimed with great joy as they walked towards the exit they finally found.

They needed a total of Five days to find him since they entered the place,

and unlike the first experiment, there were many things inside the cave.

The aura emanated from each of them was clearly stronger than when they first entered the palace, though,

and Mei ling had even broken through to the Seventh stage of the Arcane Plane.

Ui Yong Jiang and Yong we were also not far from breakthroughs, they should be able to breakthrough within a week.

But it was unexpected because he was already at the Ninth stage of the Arcane Plane and his next breakthrough would lead him to the Origin Plane.

Mei ling could be said to be the luckiest since he had not even fixed the source of the ice river.

“I don't think we'll ever leave this place”

Yong We shuddered at the thought of living in this place.

The constant attacks they faced from the ferocious beasts inside the cave had improved their overall abilities, as well,

Walking through the cave, they saw an open field in front of them. They looked back, only to see a huge palace.

“So there are only two trials?”

He was confident he would be able to defend against some Elementalist at the Ninth stage of the Arcane Plane now.

“So what do you think should be our next action?”

Yong We asked the group.

They all stared at each other, they knew they had to part at some point during the trial.

“I think going separately is a wise choice for now. First, I needed to find a secluded place to fix this because keeping it with me was not a good idea, either,

and there is no way I will agree for all of you to stay with me because it will reduce your chances of getting something here ”

“And besides, I don't even know how long it will take to perfect it, it might take a month as Jade lin said, or, it might take two months”

Mei Ling was the first to speak up.

“You're right”

The others all agreed with what he said.

“I'll go first, you all better make sure you don't die. I'll try to find you after breaking through ”

Mei ling turned around resolutely before disappearing into the forest beside her.

Yong We was the next person to leave before Jade Ling went the other way. Now, Ui Yong Jiang was left alone.
