107. TRIAL.

Whooshing sound!

Ui Yong Jiang heard the sound of wind sweeping over him quickly, looking around, he realized he was falling from the sky, and the ground was still at least over a thousand meters away.

‘Isn't this too extreme?’ He complained but still felt lucky because he had awakened his wind element

which he quickly used to prop himself up thus slowing his descent speed.

A few seconds later, he landed gently on the ground like he was just walking around.

After he got to the ground, he first looked up at the sky, before observing his surroundings.

They were currently in a mountain range that stretched as far as the eye could see, and they could hear the roars of various magical beasts.

‘This palace is a little different from the one I entered earlier.’ thought Ui Yong Jiang.

He waited for a few seconds, but he did not hear the robot voice he expected to hear.

Without that voice, he would not know what this place was, and given how vast it was, he could not explore it completely before the time they should have spent on the trial ground ran out.

“There is a building there.” Void's small voice made Ui Yong Jiang out of his mind.

Looking towards the direction that Void pointed to, he saw the outline of a building on the mountain peak not too far from where he was standing at the moment.

Calculated from the next mountain, it should be the second mountain that was far from where he was standing at the moment, although, this mountain was taller than them.

“I think it should be our target.”

Without any further delay, he began to descend the mountain, towards the mountain that had the building.

Twenty minutes later.

“The strange beast, it's a pity that he escaped once he realized that I was stronger than before.” Ui Yong Jiang said as he looked at the devastated area in front of him.

In the past twenty minutes, he had traveled more than half way through the mountain and had discovered

different ferocious beasts that were around the Fourth to Sixth Stage of the Origin Plane,

and he had surprisingly defeated them all. They weren't even worth mentioning until he faced the previous one, though,

it was a ferocious beast he had never seen before and he was hoping to catch it, but he ran away when he saw he was stronger than it.

The beast stood on two legs like a human, it had a head like a dog, and two hands that each had four fingers.

It stood at a height of nearly two meters, and its body was blue and black, with the majority of the colors blue, and,

while black only covers his chest and stomach, as well as some parts of his face. It was surprisingly also a dual element magical beast, having wind and earth elements respectively.

‘Hah! We have to go.’ Void looked towards the top of the mountain while speaking.

“What's up?” Ui Yong Jiang asked after he had already started walking.

He didn't know why Void said that they had to leave, but he decided to keep going, if he needed to run, he would have a good start.

‘It looks like one of them entered this place, and headed here very quickly.’ clear Cancel.

“Only one?” Ui Yong Jiang wanted to get confirmation of the number.

If only one of them entered this place, then he would not mind killing him.

After all, the only reason he ran away was because they were too many, and he could not fight them.

‘Yes, but since one of them is here, it won't be long for the others to come here as well.

The sooner we leave this place the better.’ Void advised.

“No.” Ui Yong Jiang shook his head.

He had originally thought of killing the first one, but after hearing Void's statement, he changed his mind because he knew he was right.

“The sooner we find out why they're after us, and how they keep finding us, and,

getting better. We can't keep running forever.” She added.

When they entered this place, he realized something, even though one of the frogs attacked Gak hui when he saw it,

it did not chase after him, but continued to chase after Ui Yong Jiang. It seemed like they were just focusing on him, and him alone.

He had tried to hide his aura, but they continued to find it, he said,

now that even after entering one of the twelve lights that he felt should be able to hide it from them, they could still catch up to him.

“Surely something made me go.” He was deep in his mind.

Being chased is not a good feeling, and even though he is getting used to it because of how often he is being chased, it is still not.

‘Could it be the items I picked up from the lab?’ Ui Yong Jiang asked himself as he moved forward slowly.

“It just so happens, you think they can find us because of the stuff we took from the lab?” He asked, thinking this was the most reasonable explanation.

‘Three more now. Sorry, what did you say?’ The focused void sensed the ferocious beast entering the place unable to hear well what Ui Yong Jiang said.

Ui Yong Jiang repeated the question once more.

‘It...maybe a possibility, but we really can't be too sure.’ empty word.

“Then there is only one way to find out.”

Five minutes later.

Ui Yong Jiang was currently almost at the foot of the mountain, but Void was suddenly not with him.

‘Can you hear me?’ He transmitted his voice to a Void that was nowhere to be seen.

More than a kilometer from Ui Yong Jiang's position, Void was seen jumping from tree to tree with a pouting face.

‘Ya.’ He replied fiercely.

Ui Yong Jiang chuckled at how he responded, he was still speechless by Void's obsession with sparkling things.

After he thought of the possible reason they were being chased and found by the monsters,

he suggested that he and Void go in two different directions with each carrying one of the items he took from the lab.

The second Void heard his suggestion, he instantly chose to take the sword while Ui Yong Jiang took out the glass tube that housed the lizard.

Ui Yong Jiang would naturally not agree to this, and after spending nearly a minute arguing over who would take the sword, he would take the sword,

he's winning. The reason for that was because the blade was in his storage ring.

He prayed fervently, hoping that the beasts would not pursue him, for the thought of throwing such a formidable weapon had already hurt him.

‘It's amazing how we can communicate even from such a long distance.’ Ui Yong Jiang said trying to divert Void's mind from the sword to help lighten his mood.

Void was truly a great friend, and other than her love of sparkling things, she was great. Ui Yong Jiang did not even bother about it,

because everyone has something they like. Although, there was a high chance that Void's obsession would get him into trouble, as was the case with the Lightning Ape.

‘Yes, I don't think we can still communicate even from this distance.’ replied void.

They immediately focused on the talk about the link of the mind, and the possibility of its limitations slowly diverting Void's mind from the sword.

‘I'm almost at the next mountain, what next?’ Void asked as he appeared at the foot of the mountain knowing the other side, preparing to head to the next mountain.

‘Wait there.’ replied Ui Yong Jiang.

At first, Void suggested that once he was quite far away from Ui Yong Jiang's location, he,

he would drop the glass jar and come back because he felt the glass tube containing the lizard was the item most likely to attract a savage beast.

But Ui Yong Jiang rejected him because he could not take the risk. What if after dropping the glass tube, a savage beast still chased after him?

Doesn't that mean he will lose the body of the lizard as well as his sword?

Ui Yong Jiang and Void patiently waited on the two separate mountains, respectively,

the mountain where they were currently located was not in the direction of the building,

so even if a savage beast found them, after disposing of the item, they would head to the mountain, instead,

moreover, they could still communicate, and once they were close to each other, they could sense each other.

Ten minutes later.

Swish!

Ui Yong Jiang who closed his eyes, sitting with his legs crossed opened his eyes and his face turned sour when he heard the rustling of grass when stepped on.

‘Don't say that sword is the reason they chased me.’ He shook his head with a slightly sad feeling.

This was a multi-element weapon, the first one he had seen or heard of. It would be bad if he gave up.

“They're heading towards me, I've already dumped the glass tube.”

Just when Ui Yong Jiang started thinking about what to do, he heard the Void voice and could only sigh in relief.

If the monsters were chasing the Void, it just meant that they were aiming for the glass tube that held the lizard all along.

‘If they chase after Void, then what comes towards me?’
