THE MAFIA'S PENANCE

A BULLET IN MY HEAD

Suddenly the door of my room opened as Alec and I were enjoying our struggle. Neither I nor Alec who was currently above me turned to the door and saw the figure that opened the door.

To our great surprise we both gasped when we saw Renata opening the door. Why is he still here? Didn't he say he was leaving? Alec immediately stepped away from my body by directly going down wearing his pants. While I was still stunned to see Renata smiling looking at the two of us.

"Sorry I'm interrupting. I just wanted to say, Vernon's car just got into the yard. So you better get rid of everything quickly." Said Renata with a smile that was his trademark, after that closed the door of the room.

Hearing her words made me very surprised. I turned to Alec who was urinating on his shirt and immediately went down from the bed by covering my body with a blanket. I hugged Alec, feeling the happiness I had been waiting for I finally felt.

"Dress, Vernon is coming. I'll be right out." Alec said after that kissed my lips and walked out immediately.

I'm still thinking about what we just did. Alec and I made love and it made me very happy. It's okay if I'm married, it's okay if Alec is going to get married, the most important thing is that Alec and I love each other. We can hide everything from anyone, except Renata who caught us earlier.

"Why did you come here without telling me?" Suddenly Vernon broke into my room when I was wearing a shirt, not even had time to button it.

I was shocked and very quickly I buttoned her up and put on the short skirt I was wearing as Vernon walked over to me.

Vernon roughly raised my right hand as I finished wearing my clothes. He looked at me sharply. His bloody temple last night was plastered.

"Never go anywhere without telling me!!" Vernon cried coldly.

I was relieved to hear Vernon's words. He didn't seem to know that his wife had just made love to another man. Fortunately, I washed my body quickly and put on my perfume again, so I did not have time to get dressed, Vernon had already entered the room.

Vernon pulled my hand and walked out. At the door I saw Renata smiling at me. I'm sure he must have told me where I was with Vernon.

I don't know why Renata looks so different in my eyes. He looks like a different Renata. No, it's not him who's different, he's just doing what he's supposed to do. I'm married to Vernon anyway, and Renata does what she's supposed to do.

"Vern." Alec appeared to stop our steps while Vernon was still pulling my hand. "I didn't know you were here."

"I just picked him up. Art's not here, why are you here?" Vernon asked without loosening his hand grip from my right arm.

"I just took the files I needed for Gianluca Bourbon's trial. The court will take its decision later." Alec replied, revealing a brown envelope. "I'm going home now too."

Vernon led me into the car violently. I said nothing and watched Alec's car run out of the gate where Arthur's subordinates guarded.

"Listen to my words, from now on I won't let you out of the house. Youunderstand?" Vernon.

"Suckhead." That's my only response.

I can't stay silent. I'll definitely sneak out of his house. Yeah, I'm gonna go see Alec again and fuck him whenever I want.

Suddenly, when it was not far from my house, a car hit Alec's car and hit a tree. Two gunmen got out of the car that hit Alec.

Vernon's men in the front seat stopped the car and took their pistols to shoot at the two gunmen who were about to walk into Alec's car. The two men immediately took shelter in his car from the shots of Vernon's men.

I turned to Alec's car while trying to take cover because our car was hit by the guy who hit Alec. I tried to figure out her situation with concern. Alec still regained his senses and pulled out the gun he was carrying.

"Don't get out of the car!!" Vernon yelled at me while picking up his gun from under the car seat and getting out of the car to shoot with him behind the door.

There's nothing I can do in this mess. I just bowed my head trying to take cover from being hit by stray bullets, hoping Alec was okay. Luckily Vernon's car was fitted with bulletproof glass so I felt a little safe. Those people were after Alec to kill him, it must have something to do with that person called Alec earlier because today was the trial of that person.

Suddenly two other cars appeared and out some armed men helped their friend attack the car I was riding in and slammed bullets towards Alec as well.

Vernon tries to run towards Alec to help Alec because it seems Alec's state is not good enough. But the presence of some people who continue to shower bullets on us makes our situation cornered.

I tried to find out where Vernon was approaching Alec, but one of our enemies went to Alec and was ready to point a gun at Alec whose windshield had broken. Vernon quickly approached him a bit and shot the man in the head. I screamed in shock at what I saw, but a bullet hit Vernon on his left shoulder. Vernon tried to shoot but he ran out of bullets. It's freaking me out. Both of Vernon's men couldn't do anything and just took cover behind the car door.

I don't know what I have in mind, I opened the car door to try to get out because I was worried about Vernon being hit by a bullet. Vernon looked at me with an upset look to let me know he didn't want me out of the car.

Sure enough, the man who shot Vernon turned to me and showered me with bullets before I could get out of the car. Both Vernon's men fired at the man until their bullets ran out and they were shot, instantly dead on the spot. I became very afraid. This is what I fear most about being a member of the Mafia family.

My tears just came out because I was sure that they would kill us all.

Vernon who was hiding behind Alec's car looked at me. Vernon's gaze was full of worry to me, as the man who shot him walked up to me with a gun pointed at him.

I just held back my tears while closing my eyes, ready to receive a bullet in my head.
