INCREASINGLY COMPLICATED

"Viv, are you okay?" Alec looked at me for a moment when the car stopped because of the red light. "I mean, I'm getting married to Oliv—"

"No, I'm not okay." I answered without looking at Alec. "You know I love you—"

"I love you too." Alec answered quickly.

His words sounded very clear now, and it made me feel even more pain in my heart. Why is he saying it now? He should have told me that long ago.

"Why are you quiet?" Alec asked to run the car again after I did not answer or respond to his words. "It doesn't matter I'm married to Olivia—"

"SILENCE ALEC!! YOU JUST SAID SOMETHING WEIRD, YOU WANTED TO MARRY HER BUT YOU JUST TOLD ME LOVE!!" I shouted very annoyed at Alec. Everything he said made no sense at this moment. "Why did you marry her?" I asked fearlessly looking at him directly.

Along the way Alec didn't say anything more to me and we kept quiet until we got to my house, I mean my parents' house.

My annoyance made my steps very wide after getting out of Alec's car. I don't want to see him anymore. It will make me angry and sad.

Being in my room makes me feel more comfortable. I lay myself down, trying to enjoy my day. The days I usually spend lying all day in my room while ditching college.

"I miss the old me." I said while lying face down.

Not how long my door was knocked. I lazily opened the door and saw Renata standing up with a happy smile looking at me.

"Looks like you're getting happier, Viv." Renata.

I snorted annoyedly hearing it. How can he say that after yesterday I intend to end my life by jumping from a height. My sister Renata's boyfriend is a stupid girl. No wonder Arthur, who likes to have fun with the women, agrees to be engaged to him. It must have been very easy for Arthur to fool Renata.

"Alec will marry Vernon's sister, so the Gustavson family will actually become La Nostra's relatives." Renata followed me into the room. "That's good news, isn't it? That way La Nostra will really master all aspects of the country."

I began to notice Renata's words. The Renata family is a Canossa noble family who controls the health sector because it has many large hospitals in Italy even the stupid Renata is actually a medical graduate even though he prefers to be a slave love my brother, Arthur. While the Alec family is a family of lawyers whose names are very large in this country. Alec is married to Olivia for sure as well because of business.

"You know, I used to think that you and Alec would get married later, but it turns out you guys would become sisters-in-law instead. That's very funny, isn't it?" Renata chuckles and it pisses me off to see him. "Today do you want to accompany me shopping?"

"Ren, I want to enjoy my day without hearing your stupid prank. You can go with your friends." Ketus. "Where is Art? I didn't see it."

"He's going to Milan he said there's something important for him to work on." Answer Renata. "Therefore I am bored."

"Why don't you go with him? He must be having fun with the other woman there." I was upset at Renata's stupid behavior. "You've been engaged for more than seven years, you should've been married."

"You're right, too, okay, I'll ask Art to get married." Renata answered with a smile. "What would be different if we were married? As long as I'm with her, we don't need to get married."

I just threw my breath away hearing Renata's words. But I'm not surprised he said that. Maybe because he also knew that Arthur often had fun with women so he himself did not want to get married.

"All right, you just take a break. I'm gonna go shopping now and go straight home." Renata. "Viv, looks like Vernon's a good guy. He's also very handsome, although to me Arthur is more handsome. So you better start loving her."

"What do you mean?" I looked at Renata annoyed at her words.

Hearing Renata's somewhat whispering words to me made me look at her directly. That's something that's very strange to me. Everyone knows that they are enemies after Arthur killed Wynetta, the woman Vernon loved.

"Ren, do you know how Art killed the woman Vernon loved? And why did he kill her?" I was hoping Renata would know and tell me.

"Why then? I don't know about that either." Renata answered with a smile. "I'll ask Art later, will he answer yes?"

After Renata left, I thought back to his words about Arthur who thought Vernon was a friend. I also remember Alec saying that Vernon was only the adopted son of the Skjoldbjarrg family. Everything is complicated now.

Suddenly the door of my room opened. I who was still sitting at the side of my bed turned to Alec's presence in the doorway. I didn't think he was still in my house because I thought that Alec went straight home after dropping me off, let alone that Arthur wasn't here.

"What's up Alec? Art isn't going to Milan? I thought you were gone." I didn't look at Alec.

Alec closed the door and walked towards me. He stood before me who was still sitting, while we looked at him without a word. I don't know what his purpose is to see me right now.

"Viv, I told you I love you too." Alec. His gaze was fixed on me as if he wanted to convince me of his words.

But I don't understand why he said that affirmatively to me now. It doesn't matter anymore, even though we love each other, we're not together. It was an irony for both of us.

"You heard me, right?"

"Then what, Alec?" Look at me with glass. "What's different now that you're saying it? Nothing!! I'm Vernon's wife and you're gonna be my sister-in-law by marrying Olivia."

"That doesn't matter, the most important thing is that you know that I love you, and I also know that you love me." Alec Shouts. "Marriage is just a bond made, but our feelings of love are the most important."

"What do you mean by saying that" I stood up and looked at Alec with tears in my eyes. "You want to hide our relationship?"

Without me expecting Alec to kiss while clutching my body. I couldn't resist it because I wanted to kiss her too. But it makes me sad. We kissed with our love but we couldn't be together.

"I love you so much, Viv." Alec whispered and then dropped me on the bed by kissing me again.

We kissed on top of my bed with the love and passion we had long felt for each other. Alec started kissing my neck and I really enjoyed the fondling. Until finally we fell asleep with all our love and consciously we did a relationship that we should not have.

Alec's body that holds me with love makes my body like melded with the pleasure created by him. I didn't think that having sex with a loved one would make me this comfortable. It's very different to how I felt when I made love to Vernon.

"I love you, Viv. We can hide all this." Said Alec who grabbed me while we were fusing together.

I hugged her body that was not dressed at all, clutching it tightly. I don't want this to end. I want us to stay together as we are today and express our love. I enjoyed every gesture of love Alec gave me by sighing into his ear.

"I love you so much too, Alec."
