The Little Apple Garden's
Chapter 07: Blessings, Spirits and Witches

Elric could only sigh softly as Namira continuously turned her eyes away from him while puffing her cheeks repeatedly.

Although Namira looks angry she refers more to the cute direction when doing so.

"Mira?"

"I don't want to talk to someone who mocks my chest."

"I'm sorry about that, your chest is pretty big."

Namira happily held it with both hands after all it was only as big as her fist.

"I thought this would grow to be as big as a watermelon."

"Let's hope it's together," replied Elric squinting his eyes troubledly.

As they reached a river with a clear stream, Elric knelt beside him to fetch water with his hand which he drank once and again.

"You didn't cook it first, the river may have been polluted, I remember some people defecating here."

Water gushed from Elric's mouth and he fell to the ground while looking at the sky of infinity. As for Namira he just laughed at her from the side.

"I'm just kidding, it's a retribution for making fun of me."

"You're a vindictive one too."

"Heh, heh" said Namira with a satisfied smile.

Elric woke up and said.

"Isn't it heavy always carrying that crate on your back?"

"This is all because thanks to mine, blessing is an ability that you get from birth, this ability is difficult to get just like that."

"How many blessings are there in this world?"

"I don't know but people who have blessings are rare, if they're like one person from one city."

"It only makes up 1% of each country."

"Like that, coincidentally thanks to my strengthening body. I can increase my physical strength, this can also be obtained through the spirit contract, if you happen to make a deal with a similarly capable spirit."

"For a spirit I might want to be able to use fire and ice, is that possible?"

"On that matter, I have never heard of someone being able to have a spirit contract two at a time with different elements. But since you're immortal I think it's worth trying."

"It's obvious, the human body can't possibly hold two great powers at once."

Namira takes a twig and draws a bear and a human above ground level.

"Your picture is ugly."

"Whispering, the important thing is that you can understand it" Namira said, puffing her cheek.

"It's a human being and it's a spirit, mostly animal-shaped, if human, that's rare, so if you see it you'll have to catch it and kidnap it."

"It's not a crime."

"I'm just describing that the human spirit is precious."

"I see."

"Sometimes I don't understand when you use the language of your world."

"Not to think about it, please continue."

Namira furrowed her brows at Elric who casually chased her away like an insect.

"Have you ever heard someone call you a bitch."

"Sorry, I don't have any friends, I'm a loner."

"I just now see people proud of being alone."

Namira cleared her throat once to continue, she tried to explain as simply as possible.

"All living things have a gate where they are, to open that gate you must have a spirit contract and when you do that your power and that spirit power merge into one, and with that you can share the ability with the spirit... For spirits or witches they can open their own gates, the only difference is when the gate is opened you have the spirit to keep the demon particles from entering your body, while their witches turned into demons. Some say witches are incarnations of demons and that's true."

Elric paused for a moment to put all that information into his mind, for him who came from another world this was obviously hard to believe.

"What kind of demonic article is that?"

"The devil's particles are made from the negative energy of living beings scattered in the air, because I'm not a spirit contractor I can't show you."

"I might be able to see it when I find the spirit later, for now let's spend the night here."

Namira nodded in response.
