Chapter 37: Gluttony
After registering as volunteers, everyone was gathered in a group in the middle of the city, Elric and Anita also stood in between.
A big man said to him.
"You could die, you better not go with something like this."
"I don't need your sympathy, I can handle it myself."
"Haha I like your style, you're with your sister."
"He's my goddamn it."
"He's so small."
"Want to fight?" cut Anita acting cute.
Soon a voice called out to them to turn their attention to a knight-like man named Holic.
He raised his sword.
"Thank you for your loyalty to protect my beloved city, I'm sure with your rocks we can stop this rat plague and kill the witch."
Most help because of the money promised.
Elric whispered towards Anita.
"Who do you think did it?"
"There's probably a gluttonous witch, out of all the witches she's the most terrible."
"So that's it."
Goddess Venus out of Elric's shirt.
"Uwahh, I want to see it too."
"Don't talk."
The man who had previously mocked glanced towards the Goddess Venus who was entirely just a squirrel.
"Should he talk."
"You may be fantasizing."
"Maybe."
After that brief encounter, everyone involved was herded into the forest, they killed the mice they had encountered to a small hut.
From the hut came a woman in a red robe with the same colored hair, her left eye covered with a picture of a skull.
She's Devina's gluttonous witch.
Unless Elric and Anita everyone tried to ambush him without a second thought, they had all been mistaken against a figure they could not handle.
While Devina overcame him with a gaze deeper than a darkness.
"You're very brave to send an army against me, see they're all dead.."
"You're the gluttonous witch."
"To be precise, I don't know what to do for you.. Do you like your body in surgery?"
"Stop."
She cried.
Elric and Anita decide to come out of hiding, he points the tip of his rifle and the bullet slips Devina's shoulder until she stands up to retreat backwards.
"A weapon to kill a witch?"
"You know that too."
"Of course, I can conclude that you killed the witch of greed."
"Maybe you mean it's me" Anita replied as she helped the poor man stand up.
"Go back to the city."
Holic immediately complied with Elric's request
Devina furrowed her brows as she glanced towards Anita.
"You're a witch too."
"I'm just a regular woman."
Anita drops her coffin to fight with Elric, on the other hand Devina seems interested in both.
Ever since she sent a curse towards the two but it did not happen at all, Anita who could read her mind said.
"I created a potion bottle capable of withstanding your curse."
"If you created it, in other words you're the first generation greed witch.,"
"I don't think I'm hiding it all the time."
"No problem, if the curse doesn't work, I just have to kill you both with my hands."
Slowly Devina's body changed shape, her hair grew longer and her skin began to blacken, terrible mouths sprouting from all over her body, as she took off her clothes a bigger mouth was on her stomach.
The mouth has sharp teeth with an outstretched tongue.
"It's an honor for both of you, not many people have ever seen this form of me."
Neither Elric nor Anita were happy to see him.
