Chapter 39: The Red City

Elric and Anita return to the city to demand payment on the city owner who continues to hide behind his blanket, when both say that the gluttonous witch was defeated her face turned bright.

"You're a savior."

Anita impatiently thrust out her hand.

"Please pay us."

"Ugh.. sure, I'll pay you double."

After getting the money, the two immediately continued their journey back.

Too long in the city will be very dangerous especially if they have been the center of attention for defeating witches, someone may be able to recognize the figure of Anita as a witch of greed if it continues to stay there.

Having just left the place before, darkness swallowed them.

Both of them looked up at the sky where the sun had been completely covered. Or rather a solar eclipse.

Anita finally decided to tell the figure that all seven witches feared sin on Elric, while Elric just nodded lightly while patting Anita's hair.

"If he comes, we'll beat him together."

"Ms."

Elric clenched his fists determined to get even stronger even though the Goddess who sent herself into this world seemed to be sound asleep in his pocket as if unconcerned.

At least Elric hoped he would give him cheat powers or pass power but unfortunately it never happened.

What Elric possessed was only an eternal life, even so he would never feel used to it if he continued to face his death continuously.

When the sun shines again, the two have arrived at a clear river where the water comes from inside the cliff.

Elric took the water and gave it to Anita who was sitting on the chest.

"Thank you."

"From here the city is still far away, most likely we only sleep in the forest within a few days."

"No matter what the circumstances, if with Elric everything seems fun.. Ah, your cheeks are flushed."

"Don't tease me."

After spending time in the forest they finally arrived at a unique city where only people wearing red clothes were allowed to enter.

Thanks to the help of the guards, both of them were able to get inside despite having to pay a little expensive, Elric wore medieval-like clothes with shorts and long-handed shirts, anita wore a dress with a hood to cover her head.

"How, does this fit me?"

"It fits."

"really?"

Anita pushed her face closer and Elric chose to slightly move away.

"Everybody sees us, don't do it here."

Anita simply puffed her cheeks pouting, while Elric smiled wryly in return. Even though they were husband and wife they needed to limit something like this in public and Elric knew about it.

The head of the squirrel slurped from his shirt.

"I slept really well, did I miss anything?"

"To be honest, Goddess, you're getting worse. And get used to living to unemployment."

"What do you expect from a little squirrel like me, I can only eat you know? And now that I'm hungry, please whoever buys me peanuts."

"This goddess sucks for a long time."

"You two take it easy," Elric cut through the commotion and took Anita to walk with him back.

They passed through several shops on the main street of the city, as seen, not only the people, the house is also seen in red paint.

Anita commented.

"It's possible that the owner of this town, is crazy red."

"Red is not a good color, it reminds me of blood" Elric added with a bitter smile.

Regardless of the color, it is undeniable that this city is still good in terms of appearance, especially whatever you want everything is here.

Including the inn and hot spring.
