Chapter 3: Ice Magic and Fate

After I came out of the gate I looked at the green and beautiful expanse of grassland. I walked towards the meadow, where there was a large enough tree that I could use as a place to shelter.

After reaching under the tree I immediately tried to use my ice magic. Originally I formed a sword made entirely of ice, it was very sharp and curved like most swords in the kingdom of Alvia and around the desert nation. I removed the ice sword with magic and made another ice sword, but this time the ice sword I made was the shape of a sword blade that was plentiful in the Yhokava continent.

After making a sword from ice magic I tried to create another technique and intend to strengthen the ice element I have. I trained until the sun was over my head, indicating that it was already noon I was hungry too, so decided to return to the city of Letonia for lunch.

Walking through the dirt road towards the entrance gate of Letonia, I returned to the city and went to the bar I visited yesterday to eat there. I entered the city through the front gate and again greeted the soldier who was on guard again. I walked towards the place where the bar was yesterday.

Arriving at the bar I visited yesterday I immediately went inside the bar and wanted to sit where I sat yesterday. But, unfortunately, the place was already occupied first by a man, the big man who yesterday accidentally hit him.

“Must go to another table...,” I walk to an empty table, there are no sockets of any walls because the table and chairs are in the middle of the bar.

Before the table I went to the cashier to order food and then I walked back to the table and sat there waiting for my food to be ready.

The waiter came with food and drinks available on the tray, he put food and drinks on the table and then he went back to deliver food belonging to other customers.

The food I ate today was just a piece of chicken thigh, whole wheat bread, and of course a glass of water to drink. I ate the whole meal greedily, after finishing my meal I stood up and headed towards the cashier to pay. Out of the bar after eating I decided to take a walk in the city again and asked if there was a store that needed employees or that was opening job openings.

After walking here and there for quite a long time, there is no store that needs new employees..., the city is quite vast so I can go to another corner and even if I still don't get a job means my existence is rejected here.

Because there was nothing I could do anymore, so I decided to go back to the tree among the vast grasslands outside the city of Letonia. After I got under the big tree again, I just sat down and hugged my legs. I enjoyed the scenery I had never seen and felt in Alvia, here it was definitely not as hot as in Alvia which was a desert area.

There are some children who play in the grass, well this place is not so far from the city of Letonia so it is clear it is still safe to play out of the city.

I lay under the shade of this big tree, it was so cool that I was so sleepy and started to close my eyes....

I opened my eyes and as I looked up at the sky it was getting dark, I immediately stood up and walked back to Letonia.... However, I heard the sound of a stone being thrown into the tree from behind the tree and checked the back of the tree but found nothing.

Suddenly from behind I was smothered by someone using a cloth and I instantly lost consciousness....

I don't know how many hours I lost consciousness..., what is certain is that at this time I woke up in a cage and I realized that my legs and hands were tied using chains and my neck was also like an iron necklace my mouth was also closed using a thick cloth to make me not can say anything.

I looked around and realized that this place was not Letonia, it seemed like when I lost consciousness the person who was holding me brought me to a place I did not know.

I heard the voice of the one who spoke, the voice sounded familiar. When I raised my head to see it turned out to be the voice of the man I hit yesterday! Turns out I've met a kidnapper, how unlucky I am....

The man spoke to someone vaguely. However, I can still hear....

“He can use ice magic, so I offer you 1000 Selova.”

“He may be able to use ice magic, but he himself is still a teenager so there is not much experience and it takes more time to train it, what if 600 Selova?”

“Hmmm..., well after all it is not difficult to catch this boy.”

Hearing from their conversation I knew that I was still in Setavia. I was not in Letonia. Looks like the man who caught me wants to sell me as a slave to someone here. Damnit damnit! If I ever see him again, I'll make him stoned and frozen for the rest of his life! But how am I supposed to get out of here if I'm tied up and not given any wiggle room.

I looked around and found that there were many people of my age who were victims, many of them also from the Reva race. Just watch out for this man, I'll make him die in disgrace.

After the man spoke he left and another man appeared and his hand reached for the cloth in my mouth and gave me another kind of cloth and forced me to inhale the cloth. After inhaling the scent of the cloth I instantly lost consciousness again....

I don't know how long I fainted, but when I woke up I was in a prison with my legs and hands chained by iron including my neck, this made me unable to move much.

I don't know what prison this is, but this place is so dark and filthy. The man who knocked me unconscious opened the prison and and untied the iron chains on my body.

Immediately I used ice magic to create an ice sword and planned to directly finish it off. But somehow as I was about to stab my body suddenly stopped moving and I felt an excruciating pain in my neck that left me lying in pain and the man came back to make me unconscious and taking me to an empty place....
