Chapter 14: Water Magic Class

The Veratha Empire....

The emperor was standing on the terrace of the palace room, looking at the capital from above....

A woman in armor and a sword came to the emperor. The woman stopped behind the emperor....

“What's Lumia? Is the general still busy taking care of the front line?” The emperor asked, looking back a little.

“General is still busy, so he sent me to report something.”

“What is it?” Ask the emperor again.

“The kingdom of Setavia did a contract with a young man to fight us noble.”

“A boy? Why would Setavia do such a thing?”

“He is not an ordinary young man, he is a user of ice element magic and he is named Kivasta Ekova Lanhamr. He is currently taking an exam held by the Setavia.” Magic Academy

The king looked back, “Ekova Lanhamr you said? So she was a descendant of the witch Ekova and also carried the blood of the descendants of Lanhamr.... Interesting though.... So Setavia made a contract with him just because of his unique magic alone.... Lumia, give my orders to perform a silent attack..”.

“Good, I understand.”

The bell rings and the fight has begun...!

I threw a small ball forward. The ball kept emitting white smoke that almost filled the arena.Utilizing situations that confused opponents, I made and Chiva targeted one opponent who was potentially stronger or would trouble us.

Chiva and I attacked a disciple named Petra who had been our main target. In the thick smoke, we moved quietly and quickly.

Petra's colleague Avoza was confused not being able to see Chiva and me. While we have managed to get close to Petra and start our attack.

I used high-pressure water-burst magic. I swung my hand at Petra until it split the smoke and almost hit the audience.

Petra dodged my attack. He almost got hit.... If I just raise the pressure and speed of the water bursts, I think his body will split in half.

I made an ice sword in the shape of a typical desert sword and helped Chiva fight Petra. Petra fended off Chiva's attack with water magic, their fight was quite fierce before I came and froze Petra's water magic into blocks of ice.

Avoza suddenly appeared from behind attacking us. I immediately turned around and repelled the Avoza lightning sword slash.

The smoke is starting to disappear.... Looks like it's going to be a one-on-one fight....

Without speaking I immediately slashed Avoza quickly. Avoza moved like a lightning bolt moving around as I tried to slash him.

Just as Avoza stopped and was about to strike me with his sword, I raised my left hand up and a burst of water appeared from below making Avoza rise into the air. I froze the water using ice magic, then I locked Avoza's hand with ice. I smashed the frozen water, Avoza fell and the moment he was about to fall to the ground, with my ice sword I managed to defeat him with just one quick strike. Relax, he'll only have minor injuries and not really be cut off.

Chiva's still dealing with Petra. Chiva had a bit of difficulty confronting Petra as Petra was the type of magician who used magic from a distance and every attack of Petra actually made it difficult for Chiva to come forward and attack.

Chiva suddenly twists his hand and a water bubble appears chasing Petra. It's the same technique Alissa used to lock up the "Witch"

Petra ran from the water bubble in a panic and tried to break the bubble. However, the bubble did not burst at all.

Chiva sees and does nothing.... It seemed like he wanted to enjoy the sight of a frightened person....

I approached Chiva and spoke, “Why didn't you attack him?” My toot.

“I still want to see Petra run away in fear,” replied Chiva in a voice that was plain pretentious.

The students and teachers who were watching were also amazed there were even some who laughed at the action of Petra who ran away from the bubble. Actually it's quite funny to see the person who managed to make Chiva unable to do any attack, but when attacked back even run away....

I walked and ran towards Petra while holding the ice sword in my right hand. I don't know why I feel like there's an unusual power I can do....

I switched positions and appeared in front of Petra and then immediately slashed at her. Petra who was surprised did not have time to avoid, and as a result he fell and their team was declared lost....

I took the unconscious Petra out of the arena. While there were some soldiers who took Avoza out of the arena. I handed Petra over to the soldier in charge of bringing the defeated participants out of the arena.

Chiva came up to me then we together went out of the arena as well....

After that fight, Alissa asked me to meet her in her study.... I don't know what it's going to do this time....
