Chapter 2: Where to Sleep

After walking for a few minutes inside the city, I turned to my left and to my right looking around. However, from the beginning my view was always fixated on the central government building of the Setavian kingdom or rather the palace of Setavia. The white palace is located on a plateau right in the middle of the city and is directly connected to the city streets. The palace was built with a very grand, large, and the dome is blue like the ocean.

I walked without looking at the direction because of the focus on the magnificent palace, and it made me hit a big man in front of me.., “Aduh, I was focused on seeing the royal palace.”

The big man turned around and looked down at me, with a frightening and furious look.

“Other times be more careful..” said the big man in a threatening and heartless tone.

“I-Yes,” I immediately walked straight ahead away from the big man, the man still seemed to be staring at me. His gaze was terrible, but fortunately he did not hurt me or suddenly beat me because I accidentally hit him.

I quickly walked away from the big man, turned to the right until the scary big man did not see me again. After feeling a little safe, I took a deep breath to calm myself down

I looked down the breath, “Huft he was very scary.” I said with a heart palpitations and a little panic.

As I raised my head, I saw many people gathered in armor and carrying swords? But there are women too. Come on, I'll see what's ahead.

I walked over to a group of people with armor, swords, and bows and a bag of arrows. I asked one of the men who was carrying a large sword and wearing armor.

“H-Halo, what's the buzz here? And what is this place?” many nervous. However, curious.

The man turned to look at me and said, “This is a guild, everyone is gathering for a notification about the underground dragon.”

“Underground dragon?” I ask you again still curious.

“Guild informs the reward to the person or group of their members who can defeat the underground dragon.The reward is also very large like gems and gold. In fact, if you can pull out the dragon scales it is already very expensive,” said the man casually.

“So yes..., thank you yes.”

“Nothing,” the man turned back and saw the announcement from the guild.

Well I'm not very interested in the guild, I think the guild is just a bunch of challengers or people who like to slaughter monsters. But it's no better than just staying at home doing nothing.

I walked away from the crowd, I walked quite a long time inside the city. Too cool to see the scenery so do not realize that the sun is dark orange which indicates it will be late in the afternoon.

As I walked down the city streets I looked to the left there was a small two-story inn that I could probably rent to at least be able to sleep and rest in peace.

I entered the inn. The inn even though from the outside is small but because of this the inn so obviously the inside will look big, with many ornaments display attached to the wall.

I went to the reception desk and talked to the receptionist, “H-Halo, a-I'm one bedroom,”.

“Ah well son, the overnight fee is 25 selova yes,” said the receptionist.

I saw the number on the key that said '18'. I left the receptionist, walked up the stairs and searched for a room corresponding to the key number.

“15, 16, 17.., 18!” I opened the door of the room that read '18' and went into the room and immediately lay on my back on the bed tired.

“Capek.... What to do tomorrow? Oh yeah how do I get money,” I turn my body and spread my hand on the bed.

“What work is it? Is there a job vacancy? Tomorrow ask the person at the reception,”

It was late at night, after muttering to myself I felt very sleepy then decided to go to sleep in order to do something tomorrow.

The next day I woke up in the morning and I got out of bed and walked to the window to open the curtains and open the window. After opening the curtains and windows, direct sunlight entered and illuminated the entire room. I saw people walking around, some carrying merchandise, some carrying slaves in cages.

I decided to get out of the room and head to the reception desk and ask them if they have any vacancies.

Long story short I reached the reception desk and again met the woman who yesterday served me, “Halo, I want to ask you something.”

The woman saw me casually and kindly, “Ya, can I help you?”

“Is there a job opening around here?” ask the receptionist.

“If in this inn itself does not seem to need employees anymore and if you want to be one of the employees here you should not stay here,” said the receptionist while shaking her head.

“So yes..., what about other places? Do you know?” ask again.

“Well, I don't know much but there must be someone opening a job. Sorry that's all I can answer because all day long I have to be here serving people who want to stay.”

“Nothing thanks for the information,” afterwards I went out of the inn.

“Be careful!” The receptionist woman waved her hand as I left the inn.

After coming out of the inn I began to walk like an aimless person wandering around the city. I walked while looking at the shops at the top of the road, but they were all still closed and were just about to open....

Somehow I felt a little bored because there was nothing I could do inside the city, so I decided to get out of town and test my ice element abilities.

I walked towards the gate, although I myself was lost because I forgot where the way to the entrance and exit of the city.

Upon reaching the gate I greeted the soldiers standing guard there by waving my hand then casually exiting the city.
