Chapter 28: The City of Rossa

I continued to the camp where the Setavians were preparing for battle.

Long story short after riding long enough I saw the silhouette of the Setavian army camp on the west side near the city of Rossa. That city would be the point where the Veratha forces would make an attack on the city.

I quickly drove my horse to the Setavian camp....

I got to the camp, then got off the horse immediately but I was intercepted by some soldiers who suspected me....

“Who are you?!” Ask the soldier who stopped me walking with his sword.

“I Kivasta Ekova Lanhamr, I was ordered by his majesty king Ron to carry out the mission in accordance with the contract,” I replied firmly.

“Your name is strange, for what noble send children like you to the battlefield?” The soldier's ejek.

“Kivasta? User of ice elements.... If indeed you are Kivasta, then prove if you do have an ice element,” asked another soldier.

I created an ice needle as proof that I was a user of the ice element contracted by king Ron. “Is this enough?” I asked seriously.

The soldiers who saw me created the ice needles were surprised, after enough with that I started talking.... “I came here to give you information that the city of Letonia is being spied on by Veratha, and is likely to be the target of a sneak attack by Veratha. Given that there are magicians who managed to enter the area of the magic academy and eliminate the disciples there.”.

“Then just talk to the commanders.” The soldier took me to a tent in front of which was the flag of Setavia....

Entering the tent, I saw a man who was quite large and quite sturdy was watching the map on the table. I think he's the commander who served here....

“She is Kivasta Ekova Lanhamr, someone sent by her majesty king Ron because of the contract.” replied the soldier who accompanied me.

“Oh, so he's Kivasta? I am Erlic, assigned to lead the defense of the city of Rossa. What's up here?” Ask Commander Erlic again.

“I am here to inform you that the city of Letonia is being spied on by Veratha and will most likely be the target of an attack from the spy Veratha,” I replied firmly.

“Veratha Spies?! Should be reported immediately to the General, given that there were intruders entering the academy in Letonia.” Commander Erlic then took a piece of paper that was on his desk and wrote something on it.

After writing something on the paper, commander Erlic gave the paper to the soldier who had taken me to this tent and the soldier immediately went to send the paper to the information division to be sent to the Letonian government.

“Kivasta I need you to assist in defending the city of Rossa from the invading Veratha warriors,” Commander Erlic said.

“Because it is still in part of the contract. Then yes, I will help in defending this city.... But after defending this city either lose or win, I will continue my own mission.

“Alright, I will ask the frontline troops to prepare.” Commander Erlic left the tent leaving me.

I followed him towards the front line of the defense of the city of Rossa, many archer soldiers who had prepared above the city defense wall as a last defense. Also the city gates were tightly closed to prevent the enemy from entering.

I observed the direction in which the Veratha forces were expected to conduct their attack, but there was no sign of any attack until....
