Chapter 26: It's Starting!

The next day I, with a black sword and a bow, went to the rear gate of Letonia at the request of king Ron, and there were three soldiers standing beside one black horse.

“Oh this is the guy, we've been waiting for you,” said one of the soldiers.

“What's up?” My toot.

“This is the horse that you will use on the way, you can ride a horse?” Ask the soldier back.

“Certainly can.” I walked towards the dark horse and stroked it. I took an apple out of my bag and gave it to him to eat.

The horse ate the apple I gave it, while I still stroked it. “Sounds like him,” I said a little smile.

I rode the horse and continued to pet it. “He is very tame.” I'm still stroking his head.

“It's great that you can tame him, even though you're not someone he knows,” praise one of the soldiers.

The soldier gave me a map that covered the entire Setavia, Veratha and the surrounding country. But there was one thing that caught my attention, which was a small region between the Veratha Empire and the Porava Empire (The Porava Empire was in Eastern Yhokava). The area is unnamed and marked only with question marks.

I asked the meaning of the small territory to the soldier who gave me this map. “What region is this? Why is it marked with a question mark?” Askaqua.

“We also do not know what region it is. In fact, soldiers who fight on the front lines are prohibited to pass through the region.” said one of the soldiers.

They do not even know about this small area... What is hidden from the area? To the point that no one knows about him....

Instead of me continuing to think about it, I better make sure I have brought the equipment and supplies I need before doing the mission.

After making sure everything was there and ready, I went back on the black horse and started leaving the city of Letonia waving briefly at the three soldiers....

I rode towards the designated destination point through the map. Now my first mission was to scout the Veratha army and then report to the general of the Setavian army who was on the front lines.

After riding for a long time I saw a dense forest and intended to make the forest a place to rest....

Arriving in the forest, I stopped my horse and got off my horse. I gave him an apple to eat and then let him drink for a while....

As I was resting my horse, I heard footsteps walking from behind. I pulled the sword from the scabbard while turning back....

But I didn't see anything.... “Perhaps only small animals passing by,” I said while paying attention to the surrounding area.

When I wanted to see who shot me, an arrow shot back and luckily I was able to dodge.

I ran to another tree and saw who attacked me. I saw a man whose face was covered by a black net standing on a tree trunk. I didn't know who he was, but he kept aiming at me with his bow.

His arrow became blue shortly after he removed his arrow from the bow. The arrow exploded and the explosion scattered the lightning in all directions, but I was lucky to dodge and save myself.

“He's a lightning element user, I have to finish him off immediately.” I came out from behind the tree while aiming at the enemy with my bow. I released the arrow that froze the tree, but the enemy managed to jump off the tree before it froze.

The enemy jumped down and pulled out the sword from its scabbard, I also kept my bow back and took out the sword from my scabbard and ran to face it....

We clashed swords with each other before I turned my sword blade into ice and started slashing it. The enemy retaliated by fending off my slash even he summoned lightning from his sword to snatch at me.

I teleported behind him and directly slashed at him, but he disappeared for a moment I was about to slash at him. I realized he was standing on a tree branch.

“Go from here, you should not be on the battlefield,” the man said in a low tone.

“No will,” my firm.

“Alright then...” The man instantly moved extremely fast like a bolt of lightning, the man slashed down at high speed but I managed to fend off every single one of his slashes and counterattack.

I shook off the ice waves towards the man many times, also teleporting to fight at a closer distance. But when I approached him he would definitely dodge immediately and this time he ran away by leaving a message....

“Many...” Said the man before finally leaving quickly out of nowhere....

I suspected that if he was one of the Veratha warriors or spies, I quickly left the location and went back to chasing my misty horse by following the direction of the river flow.

It's been a few hours I've been searching and I haven't found it.... I don't know where the horse is....

An arrow stuck in a tree right near me, I turned around and saw a group of people aiming at me with bows. I teleported with ice magic to escape their arrow attacks, embarrassing if I was killed during the first mission.

The group was still chasing me even their arrows had blown up the surrounding area.

After escaping for a few minutes and not seeing them again, I found a cave and decided to hide there....
