Chapter 22: Discussion

Entering a room with a round table in the middle without a chair. I, king Ron, and the academy's higher-ups stopped in front of that round table....

“Kivasta.... For the time being your mission is still in the reconnaissance category but after information has been provided that the tragedy actually involved the Veratha Empire, then your mission immediately turned into resistance to the Veratha Empire and if you can finish off the emperor.” said king Ron.

“So you said my mission was to finish off the emperor? Why change again?” I wonder.

“I didn't tell you if you had to right?” Answer king Ron. I thought I really had to fight the emperor. If so, I will disappear first....

“We cannot guarantee that you will survive.... But if you manage to complete the contract, then you can ask for anything as a reward. But there are obviously exceptions..,” said one of the academy's top brass in a heavy voice.

“I just want to go back to Alvia.... Anyway I already know what you guys mean by that exception..,” reply me. But it's also quite a gift, although I'm not sure I'll survive.... Why do I have to agree to this contract...?

Alissa took me to a park near the palace. This park is beautiful but quiet and there are only a few guards and park administrators.
