Chapter 13: The Examination!

Match starting!

The two students were named Miguel and Jonathan. Miguel released magic energy and started attacking towards Chiva.

The opponent moved quickly and attacked Chiva using water magic. Chiva survives the opponent's attack, while I face off against Jonathan who is emitting fire magic energy.

“Fire against ice.., Of course fire will win,” led the Jonathan.

“And the melting ice will be the water that extinguishes the fire..,” reply me while grinning.

I with my flagship weapon, the ice sword advanced and started attacking him. While running towards him, I with ice magic made an ice wall that blocked him. I jumped over that wall and started fighting using my sword.

Jonathan used a spear that had been fed with fire magic trying to fend off all the sword attacks and magic I was emitting at once. Jonathan spouted fire from his spear, it seemed like he wanted to melt my sword.

Too bad the temperature on the fire magic won't melt my sword. I'm counterattacking. However, Jonathan uses water magic to create a barrier. I froze the barrier into thin ice and smashed the barrier easily then moved quickly towards the back of Jonathan's body. Jonathan couldn't do anything about it because I had locked his whole move by pointing the tip of the sword's eye to his back neck.

However, Miguel turned around who had originally fought with Chiva. He immediately attacked me and forced me to release Jonathan's lock to evade.

I jumped and landed beside Chiva. Chiva gasps after fighting Miguel, while Miguel and Jonathan stare at each other like they are planning something....

“Chiva.... Wind...”

Miguel and Jonathan ran forward together. They exchange weapons, in which Jonathan uses Miguel's sword while Miguel uses Jonathan's spear. Just as they were about to approach us. I instructed Chiva to fly me up using his wind magic, while I who flew directly built an ice wall that blocked Miguel and Jonathan.

Jonathan melts the ice wall and manages to break through the wall with Miguel. However, Chiva who from the beginning was behind the wall immediately counterattacked. Chiva managed to subvert Miguel and Jonathan with just two back-and-forth attacks.

Bell clanking. The fight was stopped and we were immediately declared the winner of this test.

You could say in class qualifications have a pretty good performance. In fact, it can rise to the level between classes.

Inter-class battles were not held on the outdoor field, but rather on the vast underground field. This field could actually accommodate all the students in the academy, this field was also equipped with high-quality seats for all the students and teachers could watch the ongoing exam fight.

The next day was a fight between the class of fellow elements. Which means today is a fire magic class fight.

The battle that was happening right now was quite fierce. In fact, military generals also participated in watching the exam fight.

There's not much I have to say about this fight. But one interesting thing is.... One of the participants used shadow magic to perform positional switching or teleportation.

Well no wonder anyway, shadow magic classes alone exist. Except ice magic.... Why isn't there? Is it that hard to find an ice magic user?

The battle between classes of fire magic had already lasted until day 3 and today was the qualification that would determine who would proceed to the fight between the elements.

I didn't come to watch as I was busy practicing new techniques and strengthening my attacks for the water magic class battle tomorrow. I also brought the bow that King Ron gave me. I wonder what makes the bow so special that it can give off its own magic aura.

I pointed my bow at a stone and then aimed at the stone. Arrows that have been pointed and ready to be fired. I released the finger holding the arrow, with a flash the arrow shot out very fast unlike the usual arrow. By the time the arrow hits the rock, it disappears. However, the stone was hollow and the arrow I shot was stuck in a tree that was behind the stone.

This is awesome! This bow has the ability to eliminate arrows before touching objects and will hole objects that have been passed through it! But.... It seems like this bow is definitely not to be used in the match, because one of the rules of the match is not to injure opponents until they are heavily injured to kill them.

I sat down on the chair while placing a bow by my side. I thought about what other techniques I should create.... If I use two ice swords then it will make my stamina drain faster and unable to last long in a fight....

I got the idea.... I've learned some basic water magic techniques. So, obviously right now I have to practice it, I have entered the water magic class but cannot use water magic....

I tried the basic physics formula to create a high-speed, high-pressure water magic attack. I stood up and pointed my index finger towards the walls of the academy. A high-pressure burst of water at high speed shot forward and hollowed out the hard stone wall. Although the shape is small due to high pressure but this spray of water is clearly very dangerous because it can cut anything. I was worried that this attack would injure the opponent with quite severe injuries, so I pointed five fingers forward and added a burst of water from the other four fingers. Although not as strong as a finger. However, still with the high speed of this water magic spray still remained dangerous....

The day of the water magic class match had begun. Me and Chiva who are from the Beta water magic class got the first allotment to compete against the Alpha water magic class.

Chiva and I entered the vast arena of matches and were surrounded by students and teachers watching. The opponent also entered the arena and walked towards us.

We stopped at a line that limited our distance. The line of Chiva and I headed to the opposing line seemed to be 10 meters away.

Then there was the sound of bells clinking loudly signifying that the fight had begun...!
