Note: In this chapter, the word 'emperor' refers to the ruler. I did not use 'empresses' because it was used to refer to the emperor's wife.
. . .
When I returned to the palace, a commotion ensued.
The news that I had been attacked by assassins spread quickly. Raul, the captain of the imperial guard, put on a panicked expression when he found out about it, even though he did not dare to look at me.
I told them that the murderers were dead, but when they asked how they died, I remained silent. The imperial guards were confused about the reason I remained silent, but I ignored him and left. Unfortunately, Daisy is forced to stay behind to explain everything, after all, an attempt to kill a prince is something very serious.
I went straight to Dina's room. He was supposed to be in the Imperial Academy today, but I heard he pretended not to be present.
“ Dina.” I knocked on the door when I got to the room. Quickly, Dina's maid opened the door and led me in.
"C-Claus, what are you doing here?" Dina sat on the bed and used a blanket to hide her negligee. I looked at him with a grim expression. "Dina, we need to talk, alone."
Dina put on a surprised expression before nodding and making her servant leave. He then looked at me seriously. "What's going on?"
"Someone tried to kill me" I replied.
Dina's face paled. He jumped out of bed and rushed towards me.
"Are you hurt ?! What's going on ?! C-Claus, tell me that everything's fine …"
“Quiet, calm,” I grabbed Dina's shoulder and looked her in the eye. "Look at me, I'm fine, okay? Now calm down."
Dina looked at me and then hugged me tightly. I could feel her heart beating with fear, so I hugged her back.
I then told him about what happened.
When he learned that one of the attackers was an eight-layered man, all the blood dried from his face. If it wasn't for me being next to him and me telling him that all the assassins were dead, he would probably have passed out immediately.
"… How did they die?" Dina asked after that.
I grinned. "Of course, I killed them."
"You're kidding. Do you think I don't know how strong you are?" Dina rolled her eyes and smiled.I thought of explaining things to her, but in the end, I decided not to.
I wanted to see her stunned face when she found out about my true strength, so I decided to change the subject and put on a serious expression. "Dina, I already know who ordered the murder."
"… Who is he?!" Dina growled softly and clenched her fists. His eyes flickered with a blood-red luster and where his sixth layer spread throughout the room.
"That's Al Riea." I let out a breath.
* Bang! * A table in the corner of the room was smashed to pieces by Dina's pressure.
"Quiet down!" I cried out at that moment.
"It's better if we don't tell dad. Those people are the Riea family's secret army, so we don't have enough evidence to oppose them. It would be different if I died or I was seriously injured, but now that I survived, I was sure that the head of the Riea family and the empress would easily say that the assassins acted without their knowledge. just put Riea's family on guard if we talk to dad now. "
Dina snorted with an angry expression, but she started to calm down. A few seconds later, he sighed sadly and sneered with a self-deprecating smile. "It's funny, someone tried to kill you and we didn't dare expose the culprit for fear of warning them. Are we still princesses and princes? Do you really not care about us ?!"
"You already know he doesn't. Why are you so surprised?"
Dina's expression turned sad. He grabbed my shirt and put his head on my chest. I sighed in silence and hugged her. I then sat on the bed and placed Dina on my lap.
"Dina, it's obvious that the Riea family won't rest until it kills us. We can't keep going like this, we have to fight."
"… Do you have any ideas?" He asked in a voice like a mosquito. I could see his face flushed red due to our previous position, but I ignored him for now.
"I ... Dina, I want to make you emperor!"
Dina's eyes were wide open. He lifted his face and looked at me with an expression of disbelief, but my face was really serious.
"K-Emperor?"
"Yes, the emperor." I nodded firmly, "If you become emperor, then we can take revenge on the Riea family and we can take revenge against father. If you become emperor, no one will dare to injure us anymore."
"But, there is no female emperor in the story of the empire, I–"
“You can be the first,” I cut it firmly.
"Dina, you're smart and much more talented than Alan. Although it will be difficult at first, I'm sure you can do it."
Dina looked at me with an expression of disbelief. But soon, a strong light appeared in his eyes. Her face flushed red, and her breathing became heavy.I looked at her calmly while waiting for her answer.
However, his face dimmed in the next second. "Cannot be. Alan is the crown prince, and he has the support of most of the nobles .. Claus, I think it's better if you do."
“It will be very difficult,” I smiled wryly and caressed her face. "Emperor and Riea's family are already wary of me. I'm sure they'll move if I try to do something. But as you said, the emperor is never a woman, so the empress will not be too wary of you. As for the nobles, I'm sure you are more than capable of convincing them "of course, the biggest reason is that I don't want to become an emperor, but Dina doesn't need to know about it.
Dina lowered her head and closed her eyes. I could see a hint of hesitation on his face, so I hugged his waist and kissed his forehead. "What are you worried about? I will support whatever happens. I'm sure you can do it."
Hearing that, Dina looked straight into my eyes. All doubts faded at that moment, replaced by steel determination.
“You're right, I'll do it,” Dina nodded.
I curled my lips and grinned. Then I kissed her lips.
The next second, Dina kicked me out of the room.
