“Hah, I'll try again!” evelyn exclaimed and she started chanting the teleportation spell once again. Moreover, he did it while on my back.

I hummed in return and focused on the monsters that came. A raging monster that was hungry for food and thirsty for mana rushed towards us after sensing the large amount of mana Evelyn used in her spell.

From now onwards, my job is to keep Evelyn safe until she manages to cast a spell, or until she runs out of mana and we have to hide again.

I didn't even notice the first monster that came. Just a group of small monsters in the sixth, seventh, and eighth layers was not enough even as a warm-up. I moved around them dodging their slow attacks and carrying Evelyn on my back, completely calm.

However, the stronger monsters did not take long to arrive. Less than fifteen seconds later, a powerful wave of energy flew towards us from behind.

I narrowed my eyes. Without looking back, I stepped aside and dodged the attack like a breath. Then, I kicked one of the monsters that attacked us, smashed his head and used it to jump.

I smiled while dodging the attacks of the ape monsters. "Don't worry, you have all the time in the world."

Evelyn grinned and hugged my neck tighter. Then, he closed his eyes to modify his spell.

Since she had just modified it, the changes Evelyn needed to make were not too complicated. He simply changed some of the variables related to the shape and added other variables related to the movement. The goal is to turn the barrier into a drill that can break through layers of energy and allow teleportation spells to reach coordinates in our world.

Meanwhile, I continued to dodge the monster attacks.I remained focused on them to ensure that none of their attacks hit Evelyn while I used as little mana as possible to 'save' mana.

At this point, two other twelve layer monsters had arrived. What's more, the new monsters don't fight each other for the right to eat us and instead work together to bring me down. It seems they were thinking of killing us first before deciding how to split the loot.

But this time, as layers of energy surged towards the teleportation spell, a drill-shaped barrier appeared around it, blocking the energy and at the same time drilling it to penetrate to the other side.

Sweat ran down Evelyn's forehead. He could feel the tension in his mental strength. Controlling the magic circle while at the same time resisting the energy was extremely draining.

But when she remembered I was struggling now to keep her safe, she gritted her teeth and endured the headaches.

I took a step to the side, pressing down on the space above my feet and stepped hundreds of meters instantly. Then, I called out the runes in my mind.

A translucent sword formed by space itself appeared in my hand, slashing towards the Immortal.

*BOOM!!!* Swords and spears collide, creating giant craters and destroying everything within a kilometer of us.

The monsters and creatures around us were instantly annihilated. Only Evelyn survived thanks to my protection.
