The Chronicle Of Jawata (Compilation Trial Edition)
8. Tanapura Sect

Silver Balairung.

The trial is being held on three minor defendants for being considered illegal immigrants in Tanapura. The opening sentence and the delivery of the case until the objections of some parties have passed long enough with strange and debate of many parties. Finally, there are two largest voting choices that must be chosen one of them as an absolute decision, Expulsion or Execution.

A judge as the head of the trial opened the order for the vote to begin. Then dozens of people voted.

Meanwhile, the Ruler of Tanapura, namely Paduka Raghapati only watched from the throne, also joined the course of the trial.

In a short time, the ranks of the higher-ups declared a voice.

”Ejection!”

Except for one who was in the line of witnesses. He's named Chairman Moura. A famous person in Tanapura, he has a large height, eyebrows and a thick mustache. His two eyes were round, glaring one by one at three defendants wrapped in sacks, only the eyes were given a few holes. Chairman Moura chose one vote.

”Eccsecution!” loud, resolute and merciless, in harmony with his ruthless face.

The other council of witnesses voted for the expulsion. An old man, too, said so. Expulsion is the best punishment.

Furthermore, the atmosphere of silence and tension was long enough to last. All are waiting for the decision of Lord Raghapati in giving a sentence because the judge was unable to decide anything without the voice of Raghapati.

”Where is Sujinsha?” lord Raghapati's question in silence was greeted by people looking at each other. Silence as an answer.

”Can anyone explain where Sujinsha was when I invited her to this hearing?” he asked loudly, but no one from the captain's ranks showed up except for a lieutenant in the rearmost position and not including the witness council. He took a few steps forward into the middle of the leather carpet that was tethered to the green table.

”Hamba is the representative of Chairman Sujinsha, while he is on his way here, Sire! Chairman Sujinsha has not been able to attend on time due to the mission in the conflict area. Maybe in a moment, he will come,” he replied as he bowed respectfully.

His Majesty Raghapati has no expression other than silence, the wrinkle on his forehead is enough to mean anxiety. Representative Chairman Sujinsha retreated back to his original position.

”Open, the decision of your Majesty without presence or absence of Chairman Sujinsha will still produce the most votes is expulsion,” ukar judge heads the hearing bowed while speaking, ”Isn't Your Majesty entitled to take a decision?” continued.

”You think that I don't dare make a decision in this trial?” asked Raghapati, looking wryly at the Judge. All those present knew in Tanapura's system of government that the supreme decision was in the hands of his Majesty Raghapati, even though the judge presided over his congregation.

”Please, my wise Majesty, I dare not at all..,” the Judge bowed and then sat back in his position.

”Chairman Sujinsha arrives!” not long ago about Chief Sujinsha, the cries of the bodyguards from the outer door called for his arrival. The whole line turns to the door of someone who awaited Raghapati, especially every important meeting or conference. When the figure of Chairman Sujinsha entered the Silver Hall, the atmosphere melted away.  He stepped firmly on the red carpet, then saluted Your Majesty.

”Pardon the delay of the servant, Your Majesty! The coup in the conflict zone continues. It was not easy for the servant to withdraw the troops,” without further ado, Chief Sujinsha looked at his Majesty Raghapati and seemed to calmly answer his question.

Paduka Raghapati looked coldly at Chief Sujinsha. Implied a sense of displeasure over his delay. On the other hand, Chairman Sujinsha was unconcerned about any case in Tanapura. No exception today. If Chairman Sujinsha was not a person of high knowledge and lacked expertise in combat strategy, he might have been expelled long ago.

"Hamba was not pleased to take part in the vote to determine such a punishment," apparently Chairman Sujinsha already knew about the reason he was invited to attend the hearing, "Better servant beg to be self-pleased."

”How dare you speak so! What is my command meaningless?!" exclaim Your majesty with great anger. Chief Sujinsha had just arrived, but was about to leave so quickly. Seeing your Majesty angry, stop it.

"There is a calculation of your own attitude, but after the trial is over. Now, you must give one vote to my decision on the defendant's verdict,” command majesty Raghapati grumbled grievously.

”What case happened? How many votes, still Your Majesty sentenced the defendant to death in a similar case.  Almost all the defendants who have been sentenced to death, are still underage,” replied Chairman Sujinsha.

As if protesting, Chairman Sujinsha did not hesitate to speak in front of many people, against Paduka Raghapati for his treatment so far.

Chief Sujinsha glanced at the judge pointing at the three sacks containing each of the men in laughing status.

”Who are they? I need to see their faces,” asked Chairman Sujinsha.

”Is it possible that you haven't heard from the three children?” someone from the witness line, interjected.

”Open his sack!” chief Sujinsha said to the nearest soldier. Soon the soldiers fulfilled that order.

”Look, they're nothing but children. Abandoned and begging. Just kill them if it means anything to your Majesty,” replied firmly, Chairman Sujinsha insinuated to Your Majesty Raghapati and everyone present.

”Infiltrators are intruders!" sahut straightforward judge.

"Where do you guys make sure that those three kids are intruders?” reply Chairman Sujinsha did not recede in the cynical gaze of many people in the judiciary at that time.

”Entering the Fruit Forest area without official permission, is a violation!" the judge strongly denied.

”They're hungry, no wonder they're after free fruit," Speaker Sujinsha spoke against the Judge.

”Note to them, the three children were only a dozen years old. Making them a king, much better than killing them,” Chairman Sujinsha pointed towards the three bowed defendants.

"Who would have thought they had great potential" continued Chairman Sujinsha.

”Bocah Catastrophe!” the voice of an old man near Raghapati, speaking without being asked.

"Tanapura avoided that figure. It was feared disguised as a plain young man," apparently the old old man was named Ki Sanca. Suddenly the direction of his speech referred to the rumors of the Boy of Catastrophe. Break everyone's shock, though,

”Why worry about the rumors of the Boy of Catastrophe? What sins have you committed to him?” reply Chairman Sujinsha against Old man Ki Sanca.

Aware of the people present at the trial, alluded to about the Boy of Catastrophe, made my hair shudder.

”Do not offend him!” the judge warned the entire audience not to mention the name.

”He's the case! Cause of whole Jawata problem!” ki Sanca's servant loudly denied.

"Many people witnessed the appearance of the child on the coast" continued Ki Sanca.

"My question has not been answered, what is the dread of the Boy of Catastrophe?" chief Sujinsha asked, looking straight at Ki Sanca.

"Is it worth a man to speak at the trial?" his speech was struck down, Chief Sujinsha silenced Ki Sanca instantly.

Chairman Sujinsha stepped towards the three defendants since the beginning always silent.

"Paduka, give the three defendants to the servant. They are healthy and strong. More useful if they become a king. Servants will train them," Chairman Sujinsha asked Paduka Raghapati directly. The number one man in Tanapura was silent for a while.
