The Chronicle Of Jawata (Compilation Trial Edition)
48. The Valley of the Gundils (3)

”A student? like a student in Tanapura, right? There's been a lot of trouble brought down on me for being stranded in that place. And I really want to get out of there. Why become a student again? To learn what?” indirectly, it seems Taja is less likely to be interested in Mr. Black Dog's offer. He immediately turned to leave.

”How about learning to hunt for the Antidote Spell?” The Black Dog Master raised a reminder of something most sought after. Taja turned his head back to the face of the gendra that was raised next to his eyebrows. Quite intriguingly tickled, this time the boy managed to get hooked.

”Antidote Tower?!” I repeat those two words. When he wanted to touch the Black Dog Master, his figure turned translucent and increasingly faded.

”Get to the back!” the same sound from the direction of the cottage door that was quite far behind him, appeared the Black Dog Master.

”How is it possible ..?” again Taja's astonishment goes unanswered unless the feeling eventually goes away as well.

Taja was looking. The sense of wonder alternated, for some reason what the Black Dog Master had just said was the same as the one on his mind back then, the Antidote Spell!

”If you want to know, just now all you see is my tribe!” exclaiming the long-haired man while approaching Taja did not let loose to look at him.

“Antidiary Tower? What do you mean Mr?“ Taja tried to provoke the mind of Mr. Black Dog, so he pretended not to understand.

“I even know who's been hunting you to this extent. They are so thirsty to kill a boy like you, kill yourself mercilessly, also against your friends!” one reason became the answer of the Black Dog Master.

Taja's astonishment changed another concern after hearing him speak. What he said is more than what is known.

“No choice. You can't go back to where you came from or anywhere else. There is no longer the happiness of living with your own people because the happiness itself has gradually faded away quickly, and every day you feel it. There is only death in the future of your people if you turn out to fail the mission,” Mr. Black Dog said flatly. But it deeply moved Taja in dismay.

”And this is not an easy struggle. Very risky and dangerous!” continued Mr. Black Dog.

”So, what should I do?” It's kind of vibrating. His eyes became teary.

”You have to follow my words, first, come with me somewhere!” that was all that was answered before Gendar went even further.

”Where? I don't have much time!” Taja asked for a moment.

”Go to my back!” ask Mr. Black Dog.

”To the back of the Master?” Not sure though.

”Don't delay the time, hurry up, before dusk, we already have to get to the top of that mountain!” The Black Dog Master pointed at the top of the mountain covered in a thick, blue mist deep in the eastern horizon, exactly when the Sun's rays appeared in the hemisphere of the two flanking mountains.

Without asking any more, Taja alighted onto the back of the large-bodied Black Dog Master, then he ran very fast, almost like the wind.

”Who really is this guy?” thought Taja in heart yet able to be heard by Mr. Black Dog.

”I'm just Mr. Black Dog, it's my Tanapura name. Mixing the Yallens of Kakilangit and Mahelya, ancient peoples who had gone extinct hundreds of years ago, most of them were gifted with magic!” Clearly Mr. Black Dog was in his running, yelling at the expanse of Mei Hua plants as tall as thatch.

”So, Master is a witch?”

”It's been from birth talented like that! It has become our instinct!” exclaim Mr. Black Dog.

”Enak only! It has not been my offer, have you not refused earlier?”

”Who refused?”

Black Dog Master sneered, ”Huu ..!”

”Better you accept me than the fall of the curse from breaking the oath!”

”Bah!” The Black Dog Master pouted. Instead, change Taja who laughed.

The laughter of the two split the weak silence towards the eastern horizon. Mei Hua more and more bloomed along the trail run Mr. Black Dog left the halfway line in the middle of the tight expanse of flowers swaying due to the gentle breeze, the, blown into whitish yellow petals and scattered.

”That's Klawu!!” as Taja looked at the white horse that appeared suddenly at the end of the intersection towards the foot of the mountain, approached the Black Dog Master who flashed quickly and equalled his run.

”Why not just ride it? ”

”It won't get as far as me, not even a stallion and as strong as him! Meula Peak is not a horse place, because it is very secret and hidden!” The Black Dog Master prides himself.

”Oh yes?!” Taja slightly teased Mr. Black Dog who blocked his own long hair blushed the wind.

”Hold stronger, I'll be faster!!” exclaim Mr. Black Dog.

”Waaaa!!” Taja was surprised by his movements that were too sudden to be pushed back.

The dense expanse of Mei Hua leaves split, the shrubs were drowned, the fine gravels splashed at a glance they passed quickly leaving a trail forming a path to the end of a stretch of thick scrub. No one saw the two figures except the Klawu horse which stopped only at the ground rocks jutting out of the foot of the mountain.

Right at dusk, they almost arrived at one of the high enough peaks. In the silence of the mountain almost without the roar of the wind.

”I feel hot! Exactly from the heel of my foot..,” Taja quite angry step by step getting to the top. The Black Dog Master was not far in front of him, also somewhat exhausted.

”Persis below us is a volcano,” said Mr. Black Dog made Taja quickly catch up with him.

”What are we here for?”Mr. Black Dog was silent, there had not been a definite answer since just now every time Taja asked that. For a moment he stopped on the slightly flat ground lying on the edge of the mountain slope.

Occasionally Taja also looked down, very high. The more claustrophobic it feels each time it adds a step.

”You'll know later. Looks like we haven't had enough time to get there. And before dawn breaks, we should have reached Meula. Just a moment we stop here,” Mr. Black Dog put the wood wherever possible. He sat cross-legged on the uneven hard ground. Briefly swiping two stones to get the fire, but not quite successful because the small stones around are very fragile, not yet been destroyed.

”This limestone rocks, of course because we are walking on a limestone mountain, very hot and arid,” the occasional Mr. Black Dog throws stones. Then another way was used to get a glimmer of fire. Silently holding his breath for a while and blowing regularly, the Black Dog Master opened his eyes, while pointing two fingers towards the pile of dry wood.
