4.19. Escape (3)

Raojhin thought in Taja's gaze. He just nodded in response.

”We are not human ...,” one recognition Taja makes Raojhin speechless in mind wonder be-so. His eyebrows shot up for a moment flipping through his thoughts.

”Then who are you?”

”Do not ask again ...,” Taja brandished before pointing out the rocks of their shade. There was a figure curled up and looked strange in form.

”She, Lorr En,” said Taja, ”Whatever you have seen about us, do not tell anyone or you will be cursed as our race rules for having seen.”

Raojhin has not yet escaped from his sight towards Lorr En drenched in heavy rain out there.

”Maybe this answers your question a little,” said Taja before rising again, ”And now, we better continue the journey before dark!”

Although Raojhin had not finished thinking, he did not dare to ask again.

”So, where do we go?” Remember that they are lost. He relied on Raojhin as the only one who knew enough about the blind map of Jawata.

”I'm not sure in that direction!” Raojhin pointed out a crack, there was a mountain range stretching in their eyes.

”See this!” Raojhin carved something on the surface of the ground hard but rather muddy because of the seepage of rainwater. Taja approached him, while Lorr En chose to crouch on the sidelines of other rocks since then.

”This Tanapura. I think ... we are here,” Raojhin drew a short map to Tanapura.

”Arah to the south is the Yaz Desert. To the north is Kakilangit. In front of the east is Tanapura! We can pass through this road, I think this mountain range is quite safe,” Raojhin shows his estimate. Lastly, the tip of his dagger gave a cross mark to the mountain symbol.

”Through those mountains?” Taja turned to look at the real mountains out there, he was not sure if he had to go through that road.

”Raojhin shrugs, that's our way!”

”Is there another way?”

”Gurun Yaz is almost untouched again after the largest kingdom of Kakilangit collapsed late in the 13th century Neya. There are a lot of deadly traps there. After all, it has been a phenomenon throughout Jawata that the place is besides haunted, also cursed. Tanapura is not a safe country. Many people say the fate of every boy there is tragic. Because ever since Lord Jayasinggih reigned, no boy has escaped the death penalty, let alone lived more than 8 years. He also killed a baby boy who was born one day.

”Kill all the boys? Very savage!” Taja muttered in horror.

”Now, I believe after seeing the Majesty it turns out the face is less pleasant! Fortunately, I was not born in Tanapura. Ironically, he is a close friend of Lord Raghapati. Tanapura and Kakilangit have long been allies, it is said that the two countries come from one family and clan!”

Unheard Raojhin was busy measuring the range of his hand range towards the mountains in front of them.

”Exactly 180 degrees from our position! Tanapura Tower will be seen behind the mountain,” Raojhin looks more confident.

”Then, wait a little bit? Let's go!” Taja took quick steps. Lorr En had gone before them, not usually he was most excited to be at the front like a guide.

Merela traces along the path between the two cliffs of the terapit. Water flowed from their front and got bigger almost knee-deep.

”Any, it was raining so hard today! Unusually, as far as I know from the book of tia, this plain never rains. Always dry like a desert. The depth of his ground cracking alone could reach the size of two spears. But the reality now ...,” Raojhin muttered indistinctly. He long enough to twist his mind like that during his walk to every bend.

Taja silence is also not without meaning, watch his eyes do not stop to pay attention around the two right and left cliffs that are passed.

”While! I feel..seems ... we are walking on .

.,” Taja slowly realized their existence.

”What?” Raojhin looked at the expression of his friend who held a sense of wonder.

When once again they looked at the land flooded with running water and had already exceeded the knee limit.

”What do you think?” taja's voice was a bit heavy as it held back the panic.

Lorr En was at the front until he turned to look at the two friends behind him. He also felt a tremor with a rumbling sound, coming from a distance behind the bend and sounding closer and closer towards them.

”You heard that?” Shouted Lorr En.

The three stood in place, unmoved for a while sharpening their respective hearing.

”This is not the way! We are on the river track!” waking up from an unpleasant hunch, Taja finally choked spontaneously.

”Air bah!” shouted Lorr En. But he himself did not act much by being quick because it was too sudden. The water current is as high as the coconut trees, flowing very quickly rolling whatever is crammed.

”Get to the cliff!!” Raojhin immediately responded, as soon as he pulled over and held on to the dry roots sticking out on the walls of the cliff feet. Taja followed his actions.

”Lorr!” as hard as Taja called out to him, but could not escape Lorr En from the big gaping wave and hit the child's body. Lorr En was lost in the floodwaters. The flood did not stop there, the broken waves hit the sharp corners, directly sweeping Taja and Raojhin.

Their screams did not last long because within as fast as eye shock, an enormous water current had engulfed both of them. Not long after, a right hand of Raojhin appeared flailing at the roots on the edge of the cliff's feet.

”Fuh!” raojhin's head was raised first by spraying choking water in the mouth, then followed by Taja who held tightly next to Raojhin's feet.

”Thank you for not kicking me!” Take the time to say that. But back to Lorr En.

”How about Lorr En?” Taja again worried that Lorr En last seen had been swept away by the current. He looked around the place that was originally their path, but now the stream became a big river.

While Raojhin continued to creep into the cliff wall by reaching for fragile rocks, but not once he slumped. Therefore, Taja repeatedly drowned into the water again.

”Get a big root on top of you that!” Taja choked on saying that.

”Too high, I can't reach it!” many times Raojhin tried to grab a large root sticking out onto the cliff face.

Cracks!

Unfortunately, not managed to reach the roots stronger, the only rocks Raojhin grip cracked, the fragments fell and made his eyes twinkle.

”Prepare, we will fall!” peekik Raojhin, no longer able to bear the burden. Rocky ground chunks where, landslide instantly.
