The Chronicle Of Jawata (Compilation Trial Edition)
4.02. Revenge

The wings of birds wag the shoots of bamboo, the song echoed, splitting the sky of bamboo forest hills covered in mist. The clattering footsteps of the students ran around, getting to the top.

Raojhin halted his steps, turning to the chunks of rock to rest. A few moments set the breath while returning the remaining energy. Rintang Alam this time is not the hardest for senior students, but it is enough to make Raojhin exhausted even though until this second it still survives.

A group of senior disciples passed by from him, leaving anyone behind. Until the susana there looked lonely, only one or two students were left behind.

Raojhin saw already more than one disciple had fallen unconscious, some others had given up. It may be because they are less physically stable or suffer from pain. After which, some guards evacuated those disciples somewhere.

“Build, Little Praja! It's getting dark. Keep running!” Said one of the men who happened to cross Raojhin.

“Ya, Sir. I soon followed,” Raojhin replied with a gasp of breath before the coach passed.

Indeed the day began to darken, the voices of the coach's whistle vaguely drifted away. There were no more disciples left but him. Actually Raojhin wanted to give up even though he felt he was still able to continue Rintang Alam that day. But when he opened the shoes, there was one torn wound on the sole of his foot because of a thorn along half the index finger, stuck into the translucent leather shoes he was wearing. Blood splattered from his shoes.

After some time delay to bandage his legs, Raojhin was about to force himself to resume another step, but suddenly he was distracted by something.

There was a rustling sound near the edge of the gorge, the forbidden area that was used as the border of Rintang Alam marked by dozens of red flags installed there. As the bushes grew clearer, Raojhin's eyes caught the movement between the bushes just on the edge of the gorge.

“Raojhin .. Raojhin .. help me!”

Raojhin was astonished when he heard a voice calling his name from there. Out of curiosity, he approached the area.

“Raojhin, it's me!”

“Who?!” Raojhin tried to get closer to the moving bushes.

“I!”

Raojhin shook his head slightly down, figuring out what was moving there, and to his surprise he saw someone no stranger poking out of the thickets in a precarious situation.

“Bintani!” screeched Raojhin, seeing Bintani being buried among the thorny roots. Not far away a few feet behind him stretched a deep abyss.

“What are you doing there?” asked Raojhin astonished, standing a few feet above the position of Bintani at that time.

“Please me, Raojhin! Pull me!”

“I asked what are you doing there?” Raojhin did not act immediately.

“I'm mired!” reply Bintani.

Given the cunning of his schoolmate, Raojhin did not immediately do what Bintani asked. Instead he just let it go while being sneaky, “Reward for your cunning!”

But this time Bintani really needed help, it did not seem like a trick. Feet to hips mired, his hands trying to keep flailing up, “Please, Friend ... don't hold a grudge!”

“Why can you be in this place, Bintani? Are you and Gandha far behind me?” Raojhin was astonished, capturing the awkwardness towards Bintani.

“Tell me what's going on? And where is Gandha?”

“Pull me first, I'll tell you later!”

“No. Tell me where Gandha is? Or I'll leave you here, I don't care if you have to fall down there anyway. People say ... depth of this gorge reaches hundreds of feet, there is a big river and very deep below, people who fall there a big duality must die and the body will be difficult to find!” Raojhin scares making Bintani even more panicked.

“Good ... well, I'll say. Gandha was left far behind, caught by those guards!” In a hurry he answered.

“Caught the guard? Hey, what have you guys done? How to get caught? They won't catch him if he doesn't breach.”

Raojhin's sentence came to a halt, suddenly he smelled a bad premonition on Bintani. He watched Bintani carefully, “Oo, Damn you! Now that I know, you must be cheating again, right?” Guess sure.

“Achieve my hand!” Slightly reluctant, Raojhin reached out his right hand as close as possible until Bintani managed to reach him. Then as hard as he could pull it up.

“Thank you, Raojhin .. You are indeed kind. Good thing there is you, if not .. then maybe I will be stuck there until tomorrow morning or maybe forever.” Bintani managed to get out of the brink. He's laying it down in a safer place.

“What? Forever then? If there's no me .. why not blow your whistle. Surrender is not a mistake, yes ‘kan? Than to die in that place!”

Bintani did not respond, he was in his own mind.

“Why?” ask Raojhin.

“No. I will not give up like Gandha who is not smart enough, therefore I hit him,” Bintani accidentally spoke and was heard clearly by Raojhin.

“What? What are you doing Gandha? You hit him? What have you done to him? He's a member of my team, if anything happens to him I won't let you feel innocent! Tell me what you did to him!” Raojhin was angry and then gripped the cradle of Bintani's clothes.

“Ngg ... ng..I mean ..” of course Bintani. His body is no less big than Raojhin, but the power of Raojhin in a state of anger like being able to make him shaken.

“Why would you do that?! Why?!” Raojhin rode apitam, clutched collar Bintani robes strong, “I was forced .. sorry. “

“How is he doing now?!”

“I don't know ... I hit him on the head, I don't know how he is right now!” bintani answered before Raojhin threw him to the ground.

“I'll make sure you're punished severely, Bintani! What you did was a terrible mistake. This is tantamount to criminal acts and betrayal of fellowmen, it includes breaking the promise of warriors!” Raojhin groaned because of the wound on his leg.

“Don't, Raojhin ... don't do that! ‘Please, if my father finds out I did something like this, then he won't consider me a child anymore. Don't do that, Raojhin ... don't!” Bintani continues to squabble, pulling Raojhin's feet.

“Sorry, Bintani .. I don't care that. Get away from my feet!” henta Raojhin. Bintani regardless.

Step Raojhin staggered, “Better I also give up.. it turns out Rintang Alam is still too heavy for me.. More heavy again it feels because I have to live it with people like you. I give up, I give up!” raojhin shouted finally followed by the sound of whistles bertubi.

“Jangaaan!” feeling that there was no hope of winning, Bintani had cried in her screams many times to prevent Raojhin.

“Tidaaak!” Bintani hits Raojhin from behind while off guard. Raojhin fell and slipped to the edge of the ravine.

“I told you not to do that!!!  But you are as stupid as Gandha. I hate you, I always hate you! I could never be friends with you. Know why? Because you were never on my side."

Raojhin hangs at the roots and S is trying to climb, but the roots are too fragile to make Raojhin mired even further down

“What did you do to me, Bintani? Is this how you can repay my help?” asked Raojhin, his wounded head hit a piece of rock. But he was still conscious in a position of tangling in the fragile roots.

“You know what I've done to Gandha? Just like I did to you now ... check this out!” bintani said then took a stone as big as a coconut shell and planned to throw it.

“What will you do?” Raojhin glared, seeing the signs of bad action that Bintani would do.

“We will never be friends, because as long as there is you, I will never be the best. I'm forced. Goodbye street kids!” bintani said last time, before throwing a stone at Raojhin.

Dugm!

Unable to dodge, a hard throw hit right at Raojhin's head. His grasp was loosened, he fell into a deep abyss without even having a chance to shout.

While Bintani was fixated on seeing the incident. Despite the fear, there was a feeling of relief in his heart. He thought the feud between him and Raojhin was over and he hoped that Raojhin was dead.
