”Lorr En, I support you!!!”

A disciple lined up and shouted at him from the direction of the stands.

”Purwa!" Lorr En threw an anxious smile towards the disciple, none other than Purwa. He's been racing on his turn before.

”The faster the more exciting, I've proven it! My score is 5 black values!” exclaim him again. That number made Lorr En horrified.

”Don't forget! The faster the more exciting!” purwa shouted once more before drowning in pupils lined up along the edge of the runway. Taja and the other Kancil class students, joined at the edge of the lane to watch their friends.

Lorr En entered the race track. The iron cross was opened, the biggest black horse in position 7 was ready there for him.

Lorr En noticed a dark horse before him, when compared to the others, this horse was the biggest.

”Lucky, you got a royal horse!” the cry of a participant next to him, muffled with the boisterous whistling of the students watching, mingling cheers from the direction of the stands.

”Kuda kingdom?” Lorr En watched carefully, the big tall black horse of position 7. In the next lane, only separate barriers divider each lane. All the participants started riding on each other's backs, except Lorr En was still confused.

Participants in the next lane, already riding to the horse saddle, ”Use their footing to ride!” it was exciting to just set an example for Lorr En like other participants did.

Lorr En really did not know how to ride a horse. It's the first time. He followed as the participant said.

Hup!

It was a bit difficult, finally Lorr En was now on the horse's back. This was his first time riding a horse, certainly making him nervous. Moreover, the dark horse on which he rode moved, Lorr En was unbalanced. Every now and then he looked at the audience, Taja and his fellow team-mates shouted from there.

”Horse Race is starting soon! Get ready!!!” the first referee called. Ten horse-racing participants, put up a race.

”Start after the count of three!!!”

The tension of all the spectators shifted the boisterous atmosphere into somewhat silence.

”One ... two ... three ..!” right at the last count, the lane door opened and all the horse rides came loose. The pace of the horse's legs. The crowd cheers back up.

Initially, Lorr En led in the lead because he was lucky to get the fastest horse turn and excel, but whatever the result will depend on his own ability.

It was a pity that Lorr En had never had the experience of riding, so the sooner the horse carried him running, making him unable to control it. The bridle detached caused Lorr En's body to shake violently, when passing the bend was thrown.

Bugs ...!

Striking off course, Lorr En sprawled. The horse ran away. The audience's screaming voice dimmed.

.....

A gentle breeze blew freshly between the window grilles of the treatment ward. There are some patients there who are being visited by their friends. While in a quiet bed, Lorr En sat pensively, thinking of the incident that almost killed him.

”Huh ...,” his sigh mixed in pain feeling his forehead and clad arms. Not long into solitude, the two long-awaited people finally came.

”How are you doing, Lorr?” sapa Taja was accompanied by Purwa behind him.

”I know what happened to you wasn't smooth. Maybe because it's the first time you've raced a horse. Should have just told the coach if you didn't want to ride that day, they wouldn't have forced,” Anjur Purwa even though it's no use anymore, Lorr En has now been lying sick.

”Then, how about my grades?” lorr En asked turning to Taja.

”Sorry, your grades are empty for riding,” Taja's answer makes him moody and a little upset. Taja handed over Lorr En's green book.

”What?! Already sick, empty value!” squeak Lorr En, open the daily value, plastered empty contents.

”We are still lucky to get a white score on the weapons assembly lesson the other day, at least ..," said Taja, not finished talking, Lorr En interrupted

”White Value?!” Lorr En was surprised to hear, "Geez, two grades failed on two subjects."

”At the very least, we got a value,” Taja continued. Lorr En was very disappointed to see the white mark on one box of throwaway contents. He's shaking his head. Instead Taja smiled widely.

”You're happy to get a white score?” Lorr En sighed.

”Preciate. That's our best effort,” continued Taja.

”Then, how about your riding value?” lorr En asked turning to the lesson.

”empty. I'm not coming" Taja smiled bitterly.

”Why is that?” Lorr En astonished.

”Mmm ... He left the horse racing practice because he had to take care of you until the afternoon,” Purwa answered this time.

”You fell. The horse kept running, but your body was thrown off the track. The coach took you to the Graha Tabib, then Purwa and I took care of you. So, forced me to leave riding training,” explained Taja considering the incident.

”Sorry, I caused your grades to go blank,” Lorr En to be sad.

”No problem, next time I can take another riding test," replied Taja.

”You, Purwa ... how about your values during this time?” ask Lorr En.

”I'm beginner. Black values for riding, red values for weapon assembly, and white values for literature, language and counting,” Purwa answered shrugging indicating that he had gotten his perfunctory style.

”Pretty good. As it turns out, you can be better than me,” Lorr En praised as well as remembered the incident when he accidentally mocked her.

”Purwa ...,” Taja thrust a fist at Purwa and Lorr En.

Purwa replied with a fist anyway. Taja and Lorr En accompany warm sentence, ”You are our best friend.”

”If anyone mocks you again, then I stay silent, even if Lorr En will do it,” said Taja.

"Remind me to beat myself up if you ever dare to make fun of yourself again" said Lorr En.
