The Chronicle Of Jawata (Compilation Trial Edition)
6.04

It's not usually this cold morning. Swallowed Ruthian's silence. The Light of the Sun gushed into the cracks of the twigs, through the cracks of the leafy grass. ‘Sadness’ in the mind of Taja, threshing leaves along the trees downstream of the river.

Taja was alone. Lately, he has been away from most of the residents of Gunggali. Long enough pecking, half drowned on the banks of the river. By morning, he was still in that place without caring about shivering his body.

“This is your time ...,” whispered Taja to himself remembering the sentence of an unknown woman, lately present in a dream. Sadness permeates his soul, never before, Taja has been with happy air. But since that dream, happiness has completely disappeared.

"Who is he ...? Who is that woman ...?" tanya Taja lirih's. Sounded by himself.

“I know which ‘I feel,

Because I am different ….

My life is not all happy ....

Tears have touched my heart ....

Very cold ... very quiet ...”

Unknowingly Taja's lips spoke in the language of Verse of Gunggali.

“Who am I? Who's Mother? Who's my dad?” muttered Taja in his solitude.

“Why is this locket, teasing me almost every day? What is my relationship with this locket, why do so many Gunggali people, want me to leave here?”

"Why?"

A barrage of questions with no answers, confine Taja. A piece of green clothes he wore to the waistline, drenched in sweat. Absolutely not realized, there is a peek from behind the grove of river bank trees. Between those twitching old roots, two figures were popping heads.

“Look, Elkas! He did it again, lately he often talked to himself, soaking for half a day. What do you think he's doing?” sorra asked, well-built, light brown curls, his ears were very taper, all fingers and toes were tree roots.

“Entah, Dakka. Is it possible that he has already turned completely into a Jew?” Someone named Elkas asked Dakka.

Elkas are smaller. Age is younger. Her hair is thick, dark red. His head was lifted from the grass.

”Be careful! That frog must be around him!” Dakka pulled Elkas' shoulder.

”Oo, are you afraid of that Frog?” Elkas grinning.

”Originally talk! The frog was too soft a mouth. His mouthwash is far more dangerous than his poison!” Dakka defended herself because she felt stronger than most people. Elkas receded under the look of Dakka's eyes.

“He found a long-lost pendant ..” Dakka clucked her waist while keeping watch over Taja who was dozens of feet away in front of them.

“Where did he find the locket? What does this have to do with its origins?” Ask Elkas behind Dakka. But he spoke, did not answer, only glanced sharply and raised his fist.

“Aw! Why hit me?“ Elkas was surprised, one raw bogem landed on his crown.

“That's for your stupidity! How do I know where he found her?” Dakka sewot without hesitation.

Elkas glared, despite not daring to reply, “I just asked where he got the locket? No need to hit me!”

Dakka pretended not to care.

“Sst, don't be noisy! He'll hear us!” Hardik Dakka, pointing index finger in front of mouth. They watched Taja in the distance.

“In your opinion, where did he find the locket?” Elkas repeated the same question. His face instantly receded in Dakka's glaring gaze. Quickly Elkas stood by in case the fierce Sorra would hit again.

“No idea, stupid!” once, Dakka answered briefly and turned away.

“Huh! Even you are as stupid as me!” Elkas won't lose.

“I told you. Shut up!“ Sent Dakka, this time with a punch of Elkas's mouth.

“Auw!” Elkas complained loudly.

Gemersik leaves grab the attention of Taja. He looked around the mangrove trees moving there. It seems suspicious, and it is not wrong if he feels he is being stalked.

A few moments later, the mangrove tree grove there returned to calm. Not that Taja's curiosity is lost, it encourages him to move downstream. Strange according to him when approaching the mangrove trees, suddenly a sound like something fell into the water, coming from the grass.

No doubt, Taja immediately alighted among the mangrove roots. The atmosphere around seemed quiet.

Blub! Blub!

The sound of water bubbles surprised him.

“Come out, you! Don't hide in water!“ yelled Taja while watching the surroundings.

“Out!“ yell Taja again. Only silence welcomes the theft. No one emerges from behind the grass or onto the surface.

Blub! Blub!

Bubbles are increasingly frequent, circling the mangrove roots where Taja stands. Until one chance, a single shadow from the water, darted agilely, approached, then disappeared. Taja confused following the direction of the shadow surrounding himself.

Byars!

In the blink of an eye, a figure appeared to the surface of the water, right in front of Taja.

Plaque!

Without even thinking, Taja slapped hard at him.

And the figure fell into the water, in a wave, flailing upward. Looks like his typical pair of hands full of green spots.

”Lorr!” Taja recognized that figure.

“Lorr ... Is that you?”

“Puff ..!”

As it turned out, a frog figure appeared to the surface, spitting out water all over his mouth. His pair of big eyes bulged and nose sank near the muzzle. His two hands were ten-fingered, fused together a membrane and slimy.

“Evil! Slap me that hard, I might faint!” Lorr En pain.

“Eist ...,” says Taja soft.

“I thought Dakka and her friends were bothering me again, so ...,” Taja smiled amusedly before the sentence was over.

“Look me, slap me twice hard enough, how?”

“Hey, I am that bad! If it has slapped me, yes already ..., no need to reply. Besides you were unintentional and apologized?” reply Lorr En.

“You make me feel guilty,” Taja said.

“Already, forget. Besides the pain is gone,” Lorr En smiled. The muscle wrinkles and patches of streaks covering the thick skin on his face slowly shrank. Both of his eyes gradually shrunk. Then half of the bent back becomes upright.

Furthermore, Lorr En's face changed perfectly. It is like that, always a frog if exposed to river water and will return as a perfect figure with a nose, mouth, a pair of eyes, hands and feet if his body has dried up.

“Hey, what are you doing here, Taja?” Lorr En suddenly remembered his goal. Previously, he had searched Taja to many places, until finally to the mangrove river.

Taja confusion answer questions Lorr En, “I ...”

“What's up?” Lorr En was astonished to see his friend's nervous attitude not as usual.

“Nothing,” replied Taja as he turned around in front of Lorr En.

“Do not pretend to be calm ...,” Lorr En drags the length of his tone, ”I hope you meet me soon after getting the truth over everything. Can already? These days, you seem to disappear? Deliberately dodged?” Lorr En tailed behind Taja rising from the water.

Without a meaningful response, Lorr En again asked, ”What exactly is it?!” this time I can't wait anymore.

”Already!” Just bluff harder.

”Why not be frank with me?” Lorr En felt Taja was hiding something.

”You don't consider me a friend anymore, then I'll go!” Lorr En almost jumped into the water again, but Taja was tight first.

”I don't mean like that!” taja said firmly though somewhat raucous.

”What is this?” Lorr En touched the clear liquid on his friend's cheek.

”I don't know either, but when my eyes water, it feels painful. As slashed here ...,” Taja himself does not understand, while the other hand points to the heart.

”I know that you're hiding something. It must be because of the locket you found yesterday,” Lorr En stared fixedly at the sad face of his friend.

”Shammure almost took it from me. I don't want to explain everything at all! All this time, he never said anything about who I really am,” said Taja sadly.

”Do not talk as if I am not your friend, we will find the answer together!” Lorr En creased his brows. Taja rise.

”How to? You know for yourself, they're all silent about me!” said Taja.

Lorr En was silent, momentarily thinking. Follows Taja up among the trees.

”I don't want to involve you!” taja said but did not stop Lorr En from following him.

”We're friends, right?!” lorr En shouted far behind, losing track of Taja.

”Taja, wait for me!” still heard Lorr En calling out to him. But Taja really didn't want to care. It first comes out the edge of the mangrove grove, moves into the middle of the forest.

As far as Taja was tracing the trees, suddenly unexpectedly, a bunch of fairy leaves emerged from the tall bushes and blocked. One of the ones leading the way looked familiar.

”Dakka? What else do you want?” beware, Taja retreated. Dakka must have no good intentions.

”Want to know how your mother died?” Dakka offered something, while a sharp-rooted hand immediately gripped Taja's arm firmly.

”Aaargh! Let go of me!” Taja revolted in a state of both legs gripped by Dakka who was much stronger to the point of being dragged towards him.

”If I were you, I would have escaped from Gunggali!”

”Not funny!” Taja.

”I'm not being funny!” Dakka retorted harder.

”Why do you like to bother me so much?” Taja persisted in his pain.

”Because of some of your blood, Jawata People are greedy!”

“Go from Gunggali or I will get you expelled!” dakka said rudely.

”Why should I go? Reunite my house!” Taja defended himself.

”Because of you, the descendants of the Jawata. It is not appropriate to be among us!” Dakka pulled Taja's arm and slammed him into the thorny bush.

Taja crashing, complaining of pain. Meanwhile, the dozens of herds behind Dakka reviewed the antipathy smiles.

”Jawata People. Greedy humans and destroyers!” the word Dakka denigrates, pacing around Taja sinking into the thickets. Never got up in the dark shadow of the tall Dakka figure.

”People Jawata. Within you flows that blood! Your people, causing the death of our fathers!” yelled Dakka loudly.

”I don't understand what you mean! Aaargh ..!” Taja in pain, Dakka's legs full of pointed roots pounding Taja's body.

”Don't understand? Long enough for Galunggali to keep this secret. Strange, you feel calm!” Dakka grunted furiously.

”Friends, take him to Calpera!" dakka commanded his flock and they obeyed him.

Taja revolted, Dakka's nail sting drugged his consciousness.
