The Chronicle Of Jawata (Compilation Trial Edition)
3. Traces of Massacre

A thin mist enveloped. The splashing of water ripples met the wall of the tree boat across the silence of the waters. Three human figures on it. Silent atmosphere of the morning blind, dim, the sun began to appear.

A cold wind gushed to the bone. The raindrops still left among the fog slowly thinned out from the sight of the eyes. The tree boat passed quietly oscillating above the water surface. The surrounding silent atmosphere, almost without any waves. Too quiet after the storm hit last night. The tired tired faces of the three figures of the young man on the boat.

A pair of puffy eyes, slowly glancing to his right and left side.

"It has risen ..," the voice of one of the three young men on the boat, stirring up silence among them.

"Steel."

Someone called by that name, just flinch. Neirra gently touched Taja's shoulder. Deep sorrow was still implied on his face, as if he did not want to live anymore. Reluctant to talk but watch out for eyes full of alert in the condition of blind morning like that time.

"See, we've all lost Gunggali" Neirra said next to Taja, trying to brace himself.

"Neirra, I'm fine," said Taja lirih. Scrambling briefly from the depths of his chest, the glistening crystal seemed to glow and dim again.

"Are we close to the ground?" Neirra next to him opened his voice. He turned his head briefly in all directions even though what seemed to be only a vast ocean seemed to be without edges.

"Yuriz-mu hesitates to determine our direction!" said someone again, initially he stood in the front of the boat, moving next to Taja.

He, Lorr En. Seriously, his eyes looked at the star crystals in Taja's palm. Since then it has been shaken, but does not show a clear light.

"We may be getting further away from our destination, when I catch a glimpse of Myuriz's light heading there" Neirra concluded. His voice sounded trembling in a shivering state of coldness. Not to mention his lips and around under his eyes that had narrowed petals, looked pale blue.

"Boy, you've changed!" Lorr En caught the curiosities of noticing Neirra's strange face.

"I'm human! Just my unusual face, doesn't mean it will change, it's because I'm cold!" Neirra defended herself and her face turned sour.

"Which person? A jawata? Could it be that all this time, there were Jawata humans living in Gunggali besides ...?" Lorr En shut his mouth. Somewhat surprised in his mind but when he unconsciously pointed at Taja, his friend was momentarily glanced from the bow wall of the boat before he returned seriously to Myuriz.

"Over this time, I thought that you were the original occupant of Gunggali," Lorr En awkwardly and shifted the conversation as if not seeing Taja. But Neirra was sindered.

"Maybe you're a Monkey Man!" continued Lorr En, Neirra replied glaring at him.

"I'm a human!" Neirra, the girl with an ape-like face, rebuked loudly.

"Sst, don't be noisy," Taja interrupted Lorr En and Neirra's conversation. From the way his eyes like inviting the two to follow the bow of the boat. As if getting signs of an unexpected natural situation.

"Look over there!" Taja showed something in plain sight as the boat traversed the floating wooden debris. Neirra and Lorr En caught sight of the conditions surrounding the ravine waters. Such a ruined former ship had happened before their boat passed around it.

"What sea people have caused all this?" Neirra cringed across the debris and smoke of the remaining flames, floating in all directions. The more the boat they were riding on split the pieces of wood.

"It is impossible for sea people to reach this area ...," Taja reminded that in response, "The waters we are passing through, are still the waters of Gunggali."

"Look! Someone is floating!" Lorr En pointed at something. The bodies were stiff, clad in the calm surface of the water. The weather left a storm overnight, the sky looked a little cloudy. The countless dead bodies were increasingly visible to the eyes of the three youths.

"Custodian Warriors!"

Not yet over the deep sorrow, Gunguntali has perished. Only they survived. Now, they witnessed the massacre themselves until it extended into the waters.

"There too!" neirra pointed in all directions. Even more, they appeared stiff bodies, overlapping each other on half-drowned wood.

"They are all dead ..," Taja sizzled softly. The more he noticed that the bodies of those people were already lifeless. His eyes twitched wide. Neirra and Lorr En.

"Maybe a few days ago," Taja said amid the water of horror and surprise. Lorr En fell limp, falling backwards.

"It seems, they're an army!" tense and panicked, Neirra did not want to believe that the horrific scene was real. Lorr En almost collapsed.

"There is nothing left," said Taja, thinking tensely, not to mention the bodies face down and full of injuries due to sharp weapons. Blades of arrows and spears stuck on the backs of the corpses.

"It's so mean!" horrified, Neirra struggled.

"Who is this evil that slaughtered humans?" muttering tensely, Taja harbored an overwhelming anger, mingling in horror.

"This many troops are dead?!" Lorr En shook his body from the edge of the boat, until the faces of the dead bodies on the surface of the water were clear. Her tears were flowing and flowing. Shortness of breath anyway.

"Lorr, strengthen yourself!" neirra said, was surprised not to play.

"We must hurry," continued Neirra full of misgivings. Then pedal the paddle as soon as possible. The boat is going faster.

"There's a lot of dead people around here!" pekik Taja, did not know what happened until it caused such a tragic event. Overwhelmed by misgivings and panic, the three young men were about to move the canoe together so that the boat would get faster and stay away from the place. But had not had time to pedal the canoe longer, something surprised the three of them.

"Revelation!" lorr En shouted, pointing towards the front of the boat. From behind the fog, suddenly the shadow of a giant ship, accompanied by a loud bang and hit the boat on which the three young men were riding.

Bang!!!

A lump of fire iron landed hard. The side of the tree boat was instantly destroyed.

”Aaaargh!”

The three young people on the boat, cornered fell to the end because the boat was flying.

”What is this?” Neirra was very surprised, realizing the side of the boat was destroyed and water began to flood in.

Taja put his eyesight on. The dense fog in front of him slowly seemed real to look at. The iron balls of fire were next, hurtling towards the boat.

”Awaaas!” taja shouted as he reflexively pulled the arms of Lorr En and Neirra to jump out of the boat. Just as the boat was hit by iron balls of fire.

Bru!!!

The boat was blown to pieces. Leave debris.
