GLAAAR!!!

The roar of thunder drowned them in the silence of the night.

"Do you think my father is alive?” taja said as he closed the book.

“Sorry, I didn't mean to expect your father already ...,” seeing Taja's face turning moody, Lorr En didn't dare to continue his sentence.

“Not a problem even if my father is gone. But more than that, our mission to come to the land of humans must succeed immediately!”

Lorr En said nothing but to support him.

“Yes. But how? It has been more than three months we have been stranded in Tanapura due to force, but there is no hint of the existence of the Cursed Heirloom. Many times I feel that this journey will be in vain.

”We just step first. If anything harms me, then you and Shaninka should continue on this mission. After that, you can go home to Gunggali with the Light Ship and send a message of apology to Queen Shachini because I have disappointed,”

“Joking with me? You're telling us to go home without you? Queen Shachini will never be happy to hear it again. You are his beloved prince, just like Merald, remember his words.’if you are weak, they are powerless’?”

”On guard, it is better for one to succeed than for all three to fail,” said Taja.

“No, we go three and will come back three as well! Of course our mission must succeed" said Lorr En, impatiently arguing.

”People are more important, Lorr En!” this time I don't want to lose.

“Sorry, I don't mean rude. But you have to do what you should. This journey will be long and difficult. Like looking for a needle in a haystack. Definitely a big risk for us,” continued Taja lirih.

“Then, it will be our risk. And we will live it together,” said Lorr En in support although welcomed expression Taja implies anxiety.

GLAAAR!!!

The next thunderbolt was louder, as if stirring up their respective minds from tension. Almost simultaneously with that, Taja's ears caught a faint scream sound from outside.

“You heard that, Lorr En?”

“Halilintar!” Lorr En replied, apparently he heard only lightning.

“That's not what I mean. There's nothing wrong, there's something going on outside. I heard a female voice screaming,” this time Taja sure his hearing is not wrong.

On the contrary to Lorr En, nothing sounded strange to him.

The silent atmosphere of the straw barn strained the two of them, suddenly stirred the horses neighing noisily.

Taja quickly put his book of Hiwa into a bundle of shabby cloth. He intends to look out the window. But before he could open it, there was the sound of the door being broken by someone in a hurry.

“Gentho, what's up?” from under the torchlight on the wall near the collapsed door, Taja clearly saw the person he knew.

“Bring your stuff and quickly go from here!” get Gentho on the sidelines for a quick hunt.

“What happened?” taja asked once more as the old man did not say the reason why they should leave immediately.

“There is no time to explain it, just do my words! Get out of here and take the path to the forest to the east. If you see the dock, then you can make it to Tanapura!”

Gentho painstakingly managed to catch his breath by suggesting that, still Taja was still dumbfounded. In addition, Gentho was even more confused when he saw there was someone else with Taja, “He's my friend,” he said while pointing at Lorr En.

Too sudden, confused and not enough reason to explain any more, Taja and Lorr En quickly packed up their potluck. Gentho guided them to the end of the road leading to the forest.

“Quick and vigilant, be careful you guys!” gentho's message before going the other way to hide.

No matter the rain and the night was still long, the two children ran towards the dense forest in the rush of rain. As far as they looked towards the field in the abandoned village, many underage boys were captured, while the girls became hostages. Don't know exactly what's going on there, though, what is clear is certainly not a good thing because some residents have been killed by sabers belonging to a group of black-robed people with troops numbering more than dozens.

“What is this? Who are they?” not yet out of sight in that direction, Taja continued to break through the tall thick and thorny bushes.

“Do not know, but my instincts say that they must be bad guys!” lorr En answered a step ahead of him.

“Why did they kill the villagers?” in the darkness of the edge of the forest, watch out for both eyes Taja has not separated from there.

Lorr En also occasionally look in the same direction, “We should immediately find the dock, ”Come!” Lorr En pulled Taja's arm.

“Lewat here!” it was not usually Lorr En in front, gushing the bushes towards the forest.

But unexpectedly by them, suddenly from the darkness of the trees, a horse appeared with a dark-robed rider dispelled Taja's steps and snatched him nimbly.

He had a chance to shout, “Lorr!”

Lorr En first reached the lips of the forest immediately stopped his steps because he heard the screams of his friend. At first glance capturing the dark shadow snatched Taja before darting with his horse and then lost in the darkness.

“Taja!” Lorr En is late, he has lost track of the mysterious horseman who took his friend away.

“Lorr, help me!” taja's voice was heard many times from an uncertain direction.

“Taja!” lorr En exclaimed the direction the horseman was running and he intended to chase. But from behind the big trees, a black horse rider suddenly appeared and a blink of an eye hit Lorr En until it rolled to the ground.

And now, a black-robed horseman approached him with the footsteps of a horse in the silence of the forest as a pair of barefooted shoes clashed against the rocks.

Lorr En grimaced in pain, the lunge resulting in bruises on his forehead and legs. Then he tried to get up, but the high shadow of the figure first loomed on the ground.

The figure was just a short distance away from the falling position of Lorr En. A rattling sound like a snake rang out from between the cover of his head and his hands grabbed onto Lorr En's body.

No matter how much Lorr En crawled backwards tens of feet, the robed man continued to follow him with his hands raised from under the cloak that gripped him.

“Ups ...,” Lorr En cornered by rocks. Some of the snoring below there was a river almost without ripples, only a calm surface was fluttered with specks of rain.

“Hek!” when Lorr En turned his head back to the front, the right hand of the robed man instantly strangled his neck shaft. The child's body lifted without saying a word.

“Ck ... ck .. ck ...,” again the ringing of a lizard-like voice sounded from the mouth of the cloaked figure.

While Lorr En thrashed strongly in a giggle, “Hek ... hek ..!” he was almost out of breath.

In the rain, the Robed Man drew near to Lorr En.

“Hueek ... fuh ...,” without wasting a chance, a lump of liquid spewed out of Lorr En's mouth, right on target. The figure groaned in pain in both of his eyes burning yellow and his grip was released.

Without a second thought, he once again spouted poison into the eyes of the robed man and made him dizzy. After escaping from the strangulation, Lorr En hurriedly crawled to the edge of the river, then plunged down.
