4.14. Hunted Witches (1)

Taja. The stench stung, evoking him from fainting. I don't know how long he was stuck in a dark place in an unconscious state. His pair of eyes spun around which seemed dimly lit by the fire torches mounted on the stone wall. He found himself in a shackled condition on a stretch of round board with rusty iron handcuffs binding very strong.

Vague but increasingly clear, there were whimpering sounds from various directions. Like the sound of children in pain. It felt like someone was moving on the back board from where Taja was tied, struggling strongly and trying to scream in a gagged mouth.

Taja's fingers sticking out long, reaching for the clot in his mouth, ”Lorr, where are you?” tried to make a sound in the atmosphere can not look back.

Only sound from the back board, ”Ng .. ng!” the one who was none other than Lorr En was in the same state on the back board.

”Raojhin, where are you?” Taja called Raojhin, maybe he was around. But there was no sign of that friend.

”Mer-lyou-zab-it! It-lyou-zab-ni! Mer-lyou-zab-ni ...,” uttered the spell many times until the iron shackles became soft and Taja escaped easily from the bond. The chains of the shackles turned into soft clumps for a while, not wasting any time, Taja quickly broke free before the chains hardened again. Then head over to Lorr En's place and do the same.

”Why not pronounce spell?” unanswered, Taja already knows why.

”Ng ... ng!” Lorr En pointed towards his gagged mouth. As soon as it broke the bond, it opened its mouthpiece.

”Already, I know that your mouth is blocked because of that you cannot cast a spell.  Where is Raojhin?” Taja looked around the place full of tall standing boards.

”This place is very stuffy and smelly, making me dizzy!” Lorr En spit many times, ”We are where?” he continued whispering loudly to Taja who both did not know where they were right now.

”Sst .. don't be noisy! I have a feeling that this place is not a safe place for us,” Taja sergeant while enduring pain.

”What's up?” Lorr En was astonished to notice Taja who was squirming for a while.

”Mer-lyou-zab-ni makes my muscles cramp,” Taja replied stating the reason. For a moment rested in the dark corners of the hallway.

”Kram? Why did it arrive?” Lorr En observed him from where he stood on the stone walls.

”The consequences of magic are not always good, even to help us out of trouble,” replied Taja reminded that.

While Taja was regulating the breath, Lorr En was busy practicing something.

Ctas! Ctas!!

He flicked his fingers many times and there were a few sparks from his actions.

”What are you doing?” Taja in front of him was trying to reach a torch stick and look at the way out of the vast cave cavity.

”Making fire with magic!” lorr En.

Taja shook his head in wonder, ”Queen Shachini alone is capable of doing that! We can only use magic ’awakens the four elements’, and there must be one of the real forms of the four elements!”

”Sekedar tried and almost succeeded. If you spend more energy, it will definitely work!” reply Lorr En.

”Bring this!” Incidentally, Taja found a series of torch-tipped sticks not far from the temple and gave another torch to Lorr En.

”Lewat here!” said Taja while looking for sidelines among the dense board lined up high where to put the bodies.

”Do not stare at the corpse!” Taja pulled Lorr En's arm.

”What is this place? Why so many dead children? What is this called tomb?” half closed his eyes, Lorr En tried not to look around.

”This is more terrible than the tomb!” responsiveness Taja. It ignites fire on every torch passed along the steps in the dimness of the cave cavity is very long and tortuous. Along the cavity also lay a scene not far from terrible, hundreds of corpses rotting there, some dry up and some have become bones, lying here and there, almost making both vomit. Moreover, the more into the depths of the cave, the more stuffy and tight air mixed with a foul odor is very stinging.

”Where is Raojhin? I saw them catch him too, surely he was around here,” Taja was still thinking about Raojhin, his vision did not stop watching around, looking around for his friend among the pile of corpses that passed.

While in another part of the cave, a special ritual was being held by the witches. That's where Raojhin was laid. Realized after a night of fainting, he was surprised to find himself in a crowd of strangers who were busy calling out incantation sentences.

It had exhausted its strength to thrash, but the more the incantation continued, its body felt increasingly weak.

”Not ...,” Raojhin moans in pain. Once his eyes, glazed with fear, looked to the left, and there was a rotting corpse of a child on the board, just as it was happening to him. Just imagine something that would happen to him like those corpses.

Long hoofed hands circled around Raojhin, sedated him many times, then regained consciousness. And so on until his body exploded. There was a boy of his age dying on the board, supine in a state of part of his body that tangled from the tip of the leg to the arm. He revealed it last time before a ritual chief stretched out his hands to suck something from the boy that made his body more tangled until not wrinkled anymore.

”Tidaaak!!” raojhin shouted in shock at the sight of a drying sight nearby.

”Let go of me!!” Raojhin thrashed in the remaining energy. But not long after, the spells had drugged him again.

Meanwhile, Taja and Lorr En traced the cavities of the cave hearing Raojhin's cry, yelling at the dozens of dark passages of the cave.

”Lewat here!” Taja chose the widest, roofed and stone-walled hallway like most of the hallways in that place.

”I heard the sound direction from there!” Lorr En turned in a different direction.

”Then, that's where and I'm onto this road!” Decide on an idea. Lorr En shook his head in doubt.

”What's up?” Taja no wonder to see Lorr En storied like fear.

”I ... come with you ..” replied Lorr En shaking his legs.

”Then don't argue with me, there's no time! We must find Raojhin immediately, lest something happen to him,” said Taja.

Finally Lorr En followed behind Taja. They continued to browse the passageway, getting deeper and more air tight. Arriving in the deep depths of the cave cavity is very wide.more than that, the path that passes is only one of the many other passageways leading to a wide cavity point.
