The charm of Mr. De Luca

The charm of Mr. De Luca
Preoccupazione

Matteo looked at Coco. After that, he turned his gaze towards Damiano who still looked calm. His instincts say that something was wrong at the time. “Why are you just laughing? Tell me what's up!” Matteo put on a serious face, making Coco instantly speechless.

“As I explained earlier, Amico. I told him to spy on your business partner. I hope you're not offended that I did just that,” explained Coco calmly.

“Then?” Matteo still looks dissatisfied with his best friend's answer.

“I just felt surprised, because Coco easily spent a hundred thousand euros for the man,” interrupted Damiano which made Coco immediately turn to him.

“Why should you be surprised, Damiano? Don't we have Matteo? For him nominally as big as that is not too heavy a thing. Aren't you, Amico?” doubtful Coco glanced at Matteo who was currently glaring sharply at her.

“Already expected,” muttered Damiano while rubbing his face.

“If I didn't love you, maybe right now I've thrown into Lake Iseo,” grumbled Matteo annoyed.

“Come, My Beloved. One hundred thousand Euros might be just your net income for a week,” persuaded Coco while switching seats to the side of Matteo. He held onto Matteo's arm and put on a pleading face.

“You've put me in a dangerous position, Coco. Why would I spy on D’Angelo after everything he did to me? If it is discovered, then I have sparked an open war with Tigre Nero,”, Matteo said while clucking in disbelief.

“They won't know if you're spying on him, Amico. Just chill. Aren't we using Stefano, an outsider who has nothing to do with the de Luca clan? I'm going to set up a strategy so Stefano doesn't realize that what he's going to do is related to your organization. I will use my personal reasons to cover it,” explained Coco at length.

“How to?” gradually, Matteo began to be interested in the story of his best friend.

“I will tell Stefano that I need information about the head of the Tigre Nero organization to take my personal revenge. Let's just say that handsome guy named Adriano had something to do with my parents' death. Stefano wouldn't suspect him if I used that excuse. Thus, de Luca's organization will be safe from charges,” Coco grinned widely. Implied a sense of pride on his face that is able to trigger such a brilliant idea.

“Wait a minute!” cut Damiano who had just been silent listening to Coco's words. “Until now, I have not found an answer to what you guys intend to spy on Adriano?” his tan then made Coco stammer. Obviously he would not say that he suspected Adriano of having done something to Mia. “What is clear, my feeling is that I have to keep an eye on Matteo's business partner on that one. After all, it never hurts to always be vigilant so that there are no more events like Silvio used to be,” kilah Coco.

“Alright, then, son. I entrust all my business to you. I hope that all the decisions you have made have gone through various considerations,” Damiano patted Coco on the shoulder, then moved on to Matteo. After that, he chose to go to the plantation.

After Damiano's death, the two men fell silent until Francesca was among them. “Ricci, I'm looking for you,” call him spoiled.

“What's up, Honey?” instantly a bright smile blossomed from Coco's handsome face. Especially when Francesca took a seat right next to her. While Matteo moved across the two lovebirds while observing them.

“There was an unknown number calling me many times. I dare not lift it,” Francesca pointed her phone in front of Coco's face.

“It looks like I know this number,” Coco knitted an eyebrow while pressing the call button. He tried to call the number. Just a few times the tone continued, someone across there immediately raised it. He had not had time to say ‘halo’, someone who had spoken in a mocking tone.

“You're a coward too apparently, yes,” he said.

Coco was right with that voice. He tightened his jaw to suppress emotions. “Where do you know my lover's number, Luce!” snarl.

Someone who was none other than Lucia, was silent. He did not think Coco was the one who answered his phone. “You don't need to know!” his jolt.

“What more do you want?” coco asked with a still high tone of voice.

Instead of answering, Lucia cut off the phone, making Coco even more upset. “Crazy girl!” objurgation.

“You better call that number again and tell him that you've given his brother some money, to pay off all their debts, ” advises Matteo.

“Good idea,” praise Coco while again pressing the number he just contacted. Many times the tone continued, but Lucia did not lift it.

“Send message only,” said Francesca, who was soon followed by Coco. He typed the exact same sentence as Matteo had said a few minutes ago.

Long enough the three of them waited for a reply from the message, until half an hour passed. “Lucia has read the message, but does not intend to reply,” Coco looks worried. She rubbed her hair to cover up her nervousness and worry.

“What girl will act recklessly?” francesca looked worried.

“It's okay, Dolcezza mia (sweet). As long as there is me, you will always be safe,” Coco replied as she pressed her lips against Francesca's lips and then wrapped them in a hearty manner.

In the room, Mia wakes up and does not find Matteo nearby. Slowly, he inched to the edge of the bed and got down from there. Mia intended to open the door to exit the room, but Matteo had already entered and smiled at her.

“You're up, How's mia? One minute of sleep?” ask Matteo gently.

“I can't sleep well if you're not by my side,” Mia's answer and appeal to her husband. He also gently kissed Matteo's lips.

The gray-eyed man laughed widely. His face looks so happy. “I really like your kiss,” Matteo intends to return Mia's kiss. Her lips have touched those reddish-red lips. However, a strong knock on the door made Matteo had to lose his intention. Lazily, he moved towards the door and opened it.

A young servant, half bowed as a sign of respect to Matteo. “Sorry, Sir. There is someone who wants to meet you,” said the waiter was polite.

“Who?” ask Matteo flat.

“Detective Fabrizio Ranieri. He was waiting in the living room,” said the waiter again with respect.

Matteo gasped, then looked at each other with Mia.

“For what purpose did he come here again? Isn't your problem all right, Theo?” raut is worried about looking so obvious on Mia's pretty face.

“Hey, it's okay, honey. Don'worry. Nothing's gonna happen. Calm down,” Matteo cupped Mia's face with both hands. As much as possible he won the wife so that her anxiety disorder does not recur.

“I'm coming,” Mia immediately blocked her husband's arm shortly before Matteo left the room.

“Alright,” is full of tenderness, Matteo unravels Mia's fingers holding tightly to her arms. He then kissed the back of his wife's hand many times and then took her, following the servant's steps towards the living room. Inwardly, Matteo slightly complained. He had just entered the room, but he had to go out again.

In the Tuscany-style living room, detective Ranieri is already swiftly standing up, welcoming the arrival of Matteo. “Good afternoon by evening, Mr de Luca,” said.

“Is there anything I can help you with, Detective?” ask Matteo without further ado. His voice looked expressionless.

“Ah, I just told you that our Ernesto Homar is free from all charges and charges, because there is not enough evidence,” replied detective Ranieri.

“Oh, so. All right,” Matteo glanced at Mia who was standing next to him, before returning to stare at detective Ranieri.

“You don't mind?” lure the detective while raising both eyebrows.

“Of course not. I fully trust you,” Matteo said calmly.

“Don't worry, Mr. de Luca. The case remains open until I actually find the culprit. I vow not to surrender for the sake of justice for the lives of Mr. Roberto and Mrs Gabriella de Luca. They are good people and role models,” insists detective Ranieri.

“I'm very appreciative and supportive of your efforts, Detective. I'm also grateful for your struggles for both of my parents,” welcome Matteo with a vibrating voice.

“This district owes a lot to your family, Sir. Not only the present, even our grandparents all also owe it to the big name de Luca,” detective Ranieri said.

“Still vividly remembered, your great-grandfather who donated most of his wealth to support the revolutionary movement,”. While Matteo only smiled faintly. His heart started beating faster.
