Mia was silent for a moment. A moment later, the girl shook her head firmly. “No, Dad! Theo had nothing to do with the corpse in the North Canal,” denied Mia with great confidence. That made Matteo look back at Mia with a gaze that was very difficult to interpret. Matteo did not understand why Mia was acting that way towards him.
“How can you be so sure, Mia?” Mr. Gio returned to his tone quite firmly. Of course, he was a man who thought with logic, not with feelings like what was happening to Mia right now. Mr. Gio just wants to convince and open Mia's eyes, so that she can see something else that the girl can't see from a Matteo.
“Iya, Dad. I believe him! I'm sure Theo is a good guy and not what Dad thought!” the answer that had made Matteo feel slapped. He was more convinced to stay away from the girl. Yes, Mia is not the right girl to take into her harsh life.
“A very boring discussion!” grouse Daniella. The girl corrected her posture to become more upright. He approached Matteo and stood beside him.
“So, how did you decide, Dad? Will Dad allow Theo to stay here or not?” Daniella asked the father for a clear decision. While Mr. Gio did not answer immediately. The middle-aged man again raised his sharp gaze to Matteo who had since chosen to be more silent.
“Good. I'll let you stay for two days. However, not in my house, Young Man!” said Mr. Gio. “You can go back to the store and continue sleeping there. After all, as long as you're hiding in the warehouse, I don't feel like I've lost anything from my shop, it means you're not a thief pretending to be hurt,” continued the man with a tone that began to calm down.
Matteo did not answer. It just smokes slowly. Matteo then nodded in agreement. Daniella looks the opposite. The girl obviously did not like Mr.'s decision. Gio. He wanted Matteo to be able to stay in the house even if it was only two days.
Another Daniella, another one with Mia. The girl was grateful that her father was finally able to be kind and allow Matteo to stay even if not for a long time.
“Oh, thank goodness! I believe that there will always be a way out for every problem. It's too late" Magdalene said. "Theo, you better get back to the store and take good care of the place!” said the woman again standing up. He felt relieved that night there was no commotion that was much worse than he had imagined before.
Magdalene then asked Mr. Gio to deliver it to the room, though Mr. Gio seemed to refuse. However, it seemed like he could not do that to the woman he loved so much.
“Mia, give the store key to this young man and tell him to leave immediately! I don't want him to be here too long!” ask Mr. Gio passed with Magdalene to their room.
Meanwhile, Mia stared at Matteo for a moment, before she finally moved to her room to bring the keys to the tavern.
Daniella doesn't seem very happy. His intention to make Mia jealous becomes a complete failure, due to the father's firm decision that no one can resist. However, that doesn't mean he can't have a little fun with Matteo.
Daniella grabbed Matteo's face without permission first. He kissed the man again affectionately, although Matteo behaved unlike when they kissed outside. Matteo was even impressed to let Daniella enjoy her own game.
“Ah, sorry!” Mia immediately lowered her face. I don't want to see that scene anymore. Matteo immediately turned his face away from Daniella's. He looked at Mia who was again filled with disappointment. Mia even handed over the key of the tavern just like that.
After Matteo received the key, Mia immediately returned to her room. He did not want to worry about what the two of them would do. Mia did her job well. He had been trying to help Matteo with all his abilities.
“Come, I'll take you to the front!” take Daniella. He grabbed Matteo's hand and invited him to get out of there.
“Stop, Dani! Don't do such a thing!” sergeant Matteo before he actually left.
“What do you mean, Mr Bellucci?”
Walking alone, Matteo walked down a narrow alley between tall buildings with minimal lighting. She could not imagine Mia coming home alone from the store. It is only fitting that Mr. Gio was so worried about the girl, when Mia came home late.
The atmosphere along the road was quiet. Matteo stopped his steps. He stood up for a moment. His instincts began to work, and he immediately sharpened his sense of hearing.
Matteo then moved his eyes to the right side. He felt that behind him was someone watching him. However, Matteo did not want to be suspicious.
Matteo looked calm, but he remained vigilant. He continued his steps towards the shop which was about five hundred meters from Mr.'s residence. Gio.
Mateo sharpened his instincts. He was more and more cautious, even when he arrived in front of the shop. He immediately unlocked the entrance of the store.
Before entering, he looked around the place. The atmosphere there was so quiet, because it was late at night. Matteo's vision was then fixed on the wall of a building that he felt was the hiding place of someone who was stalking him.
However, Mateo did not want to do anything. His hands were already itchy, but it was not yet time for Matteo to settle all the mess. Matteo decides to go in and lock the shop from the inside.
While the person who had been stalking her since, immediately left from there.
Matteo was again in the barn, alone and pensive in the dim light of the room. He sat down while leaning his body and bending his right leg, while his left leg he let stick out. There is no means by which he can be used as a means of communication. He can't contact anyone.
Matteo took many long breaths. He felt very tired. Actually, the wound on his right arm had recovered. However, somehow Mia still held him back from there.
Slowly, Matteo closed his eyes. Without realizing it, the man finally fell asleep. He opened his eyes when he heard the sound of someone entering the store.
Apparently the night has passed. The atmosphere is starting to light up. Matteo smiled wryly, convinced that Mia had come to bring him breakfast. Eagerly, Matteo got up and headed for the door of the warehouse.
“Mia I know you ...” Matteo did not continue his words. He was stunned when he found someone there. Shame and disappointment mixed into one. Matteo again showed his flat face.
“Why, Theo? You expect my daughter to come?” said Mr. Gio with his never-changing tone, still sounded resolute and authoritative. He smiled as he shook his head slowly.
