The charm of Mr. De Luca

The charm of Mr. De Luca
Scervellamento

Matteo looked at Adriano increasingly sharply. Before long, the man seemed to squint his eyes like he was looking at something. Matteo looked for the meaning behind Adriano's words.  “You also know the dark story,” singed a cynical smile at the corner of the lips of the gray-eyed man.

“Everyone knew about the death of Silvio Moriarty, although at first it seemed deliberately kept secret. However, in the end the news broke to the surface,” clearly Adriano was flat without turning her gaze away.

“It's been a long time, and I've forgotten it. One thing I will never forget is my meeting with Mia after that. The rest, I don't want to remember anymore,” denied Matteo.

“Yes. However, the mafia world has recorded this. Especially when news emerged of the killing of Vincenzo Moriarty, along with your lunge that has seized all his territory. Justjust wonderful. You are indeed a very dangerous killing machine, Mr de Luca,” Adriano looks so serious. His eyes were sharp and looked unusual. It's not like Adriano is usually.

“You've been expecting, Mr. D’Angelo. It wasn't me who killed Vincenzo Moriarty, it was Antonio. One of my beloved assistants even died there,” argued Matteo firmly.

Adriano looks more serious. His beautiful face looked very flat and cold. “Who would believe that, if now Moriarty's power had fallen into de Luca's hands? After all, Antonio is your uncle, surely you have conspired in planning all those attacks,” Adriano remains adamant with his opinion. That left Matteo silent for a moment.

"You know very well what happened on Elba Island. I killed Antonio with my own hands. He tried to finish off Mia and undermine the stability and security of the organization I lead. While I would never compromise with a traitor, whoever it is! I will definitely finish him off mercilessly!" resolute and cold, Matteo's tone back then sounded extremely frightening. Adriano looked at him sharply.

I don't know what happened to the two men. They seem to be showing each other's dark side. A moment later, however, Matteo regained his senses. He then turned his gaze to Mia and Valerie who could only be glued to watch the attitude of the two men.

“Should we discuss the matter before the ladies, Mr D'Angelo?” reprimanded Matteo, making Adriano immediately realized. His face turned back to normal. Then he took a deep breath.

“I'm sorry, Mr. de Luca. I just got carried away. You should know that a lot is talking about you, and it makes me so curious. Now, I have proven myself if you are indeed worthy to be a great leader,” Adriano then turned her gaze to Mia. “I'm really sorry, Mrs de Luca. I'm not going to judge your husband at all. I was just too emotional and ..” Adriano looked confused.

“Not a problem, Mr. D’Angelo. I don't think Matteo needs a defense from me, so you don't have to apologize,” Mia said. Then he smiled softly. “Just relax, Mr. D’Angelo,” Mia said again. He tried to melt the atmosphere.

“Already, Moy brat. You better get to Monaco. Don't let your colleagues become irritated because you are late,” Valerie who realizes Adriano's clumsy attitude and join trying to melt the atmosphere. He patted the man's shoulder twice.

While Adriano seemed to have understood the cue from his adoptive sister. The blue-eyed man agreed. “Are we done here?” the question was who he was looking for.

Mia, who saw the look on her face and the sharp look of Matteo, immediately advanced her wheelchair and approached her husband. He touched the man's tattooed arm gently. Instantly Matteo turned his head and saw Mia smiling gently at him. Slowly, the look on that terrifying face gradually disappeared and disappeared instantly. “We're home now, Theo? Mr. D’Angelo must return to Monaco,” said Mia softly and immediately replied a nod from Matteo.

“Come, Honey,” Matteo bends over and grabs Mia's body, then holds her up.

“Let me bring your wheelchair, Madam,” Adriano said as she folded up Mia's wheelchair. He glanced at Valerie for a moment before passing by and climbing the stairs leading to the outside of the workshop. While Valeria just plays her braids while shaking her head slowly. He did not understand, because usually Adriano never lost control like that.

On the way back to the Casa de Luca, none of the four people made a sound. Everything was swept away in each other's minds. The atmosphere inside Matteo's beloved Jeep Wrangler was so quiet that Mia began to open the conversation. He touched Valerie's left hand, then smiled. “Your nickname reminds me of someone, Val,”.

“Name Valentino. It is commonly called Vale. That man is my guardian angel. If there is no him, maybe I am not living in this world,” said Mia slowly.

“Gosh! What happened?” Valerie turned her entire body towards Mia.

“I can't tell you in detail, because I'm afraid that my anxiety disorder will recur. One thing's for sure, Vale has become a living shield as some bad guys try to take my life. I am so grateful to him for the second life he has given me,” Mia ended her story, then looked down. The woman closed her eyes tightly. The shadow of the dark past was again present and stifled his chest, so he had to breathe deep air so as not to have trouble in breathing.

“How mia, are you okay? Do you need your anti-depressant medication?” tawar Matteo's. The look in his eyes reflected from the middle spy showed deep concern. "You better not remember that anymore, honey," suggested Matteo again directing his focus on steering.

“I'm fine, Theo” replied Mia while smiling gently. After that, silence again enveloped them, until the vehicle that Matteo drove into the first gate. After passing through it, the black jeep stopped in the front yard of the Casa de Luca building.

Before turning off his car engine, Matteo was stunned for a moment when he saw several people standing near the front porch of his house. Matteo did not expect their arrival to be welcomed by detective Fabrizio and several uniformed officers from the police. A tense storm began to envelop the four people who were in the car.

“Why are there police here, Mr de Luca? Are you going to frame me?” Adriano hatch.

“Trust me, those cops are looking for me. They have nothing to do with you at all,” finished saying so, Matteo immediately turned off the car engine and then got off quietly. Tense that had mastered him, he hid in a faint smile typical of a Matteo de Luca.

“How are you, Mr Detective?” Matteo greeted Fabrizio and several policemen standing on the steps to the porch.

“Not too good, Mr. de Luca. You have disappointed me,” Fabrizio said with a look of dislike.

“Let's talk inside only. Please enter first,” Matteo opens the living room door wide and lets the police sit down. After that, he returned to the car and whispered to Adriano. “Hide my weapons. Immediately save it in your car.”

“Alright,” Adriano jumped down from the car with half a run to the garage. There, he headed straight for his parked car and immediately kept the long-barreled rifle.

Adriano entered the car and started the engine. He then drove the car to a stop near Matteo.

Adriano stopped the car. The man came out without taking off the sunglasses he was wearing. “I hope there are no serious problems, Mr. de Luca," he said slowly, while Matteo seemed to think hard.
