Go to the Dea Family Refuge

The next morning Dimas wore a thicker jacket and carried a large bag out of the official shelter. Dimas planned to go home for a while and go to the Dea family's private shelter to exchange the nuclear fusion reactor and the space heater he had made earlier for some supplies. Dimas had no problem with delivering this nuclear fusion reactor and heating room but he had long known Dea and his family who did not want to accept the gift of others just.

Since Dimas' position in the official shelter as a scientist developing a nuclear fusion reactor was high, Dimas had to be escorted by several soldiers while going out. Dimas walked quickly past the ordinary refugees scattered in the corridor and entered the elevator leading to the top. The elevator door opens again showing a view of the surface of the Earth that looks gloomy without the sun and thick snow that covers the land and the ruins of the building in front of it.

Dimas walked towards the parking lot and saw four soldiers waiting near a steel car not far from there, Dimas recognized this person and approached him. The four soldiers were also aware of Dimas' whereabouts and lined up neatly then saluted towards Dimas which left Dimas a little shocked.

"Professor Dimas, we will accompany you on your journey later" one of the soldiers said to Dimas.

"Alright, then let's go to my family's private sanctuary first" Dimas said to them.

They then entered the prepared steel car, the steel car immediately drove towards the Dimas family shelter after exiting the official shelter area. These four soldiers were soldiers who had previously captured Dimas and his family for possession of firearms, Therefore Dimas does not need to show the direction of his shelter are these soldiers can still take him to the personal shelter of his family.

The atmosphere in the car felt awkward as no one started the conversation, for the soldiers it is their custom not to talk much whereas for Dimas he prefers the calm state as it is today rather than the stormy state as when scientists are debating theories that they are not understand. After driving for some time, Dimas' steel car arrived in front of his family's private shelter, which he hadn't seen in days.

Seeing the entrance to the underground shelter, Dimas immediately got off the steel car and opened the entrance to the shelter using a biometric scanner. The door of the shelter opened causing the temperature inside the warm shelter to directly spread to the outside of the shelter.

Dimas and the four soldiers who followed him into the shelter found two soldiers stationed at the Dimas family shelter ready while pointing their weapons at Dimas and the soldiers behind him. Seeing that the people who entered were Dimas and the other soldiers, the two soldiers quickly stopped aiming and saluted Dimas.

"I'm sorry our professor Dimas, we thought the entrance of the shelter was opened by foreigners and we wanted to ambush when they entered" One of the two soldiers said while looking down which was directly followed by the other soldiers.

Dimas is still not very familiar with the professor's call to him but still enjoys how people call him a professor which makes him more confident when researching new things.

"It doesn't matter, how are my mom and dad?" Dimas immediately ignored the previous problem and asked about his parents.

The three-man family had a reunion and the six soldiers who were at the scene took the initiative themselves to go out so as not to disturb Dimas' family reunion. After about 1 hour Dimas came out of the shelter to meet the soldiers in the steel car, after leaving the safety of his parents to the two soldiers who lived Dimas then went with the four soldiers who guarded him to the destination from their departure.

Dimas' real purpose out of the official shelter was to deliver the nuclear fusion reactor and space heater he had made to the Dea family shelter. Due to the distance being the refuge of the Dimas family and the rather distant refuge of the Dea family the Dimas entourage took some time to reach the refuge of the Dea family.

After quite a long time the steel car finally got near the Dea family's personal sanctuary, but something strange happened in the area around them at this time. The soldier driving the steel car noticed faintly some black shadows as tall as adults flashed swiftly in front of their steel car.

"It looks like there are a lot of survivors in this area, it looks like we have to report to the superiors and recruit these people to an official shelter" The other soldier sitting right next to the driving soldier also saw a black shadow passing in front and thought it was a survivor.

The soldier who was driving nodded in agreement to his colleague's suggestion, he refocused his driving until suddenly heard a loud crash from the side and felt the steel car slightly shaken. Everyone in the steel car, Dimas happened to be right next to the side of the car that was hit and reflexively looked towards the car window.

"Zerg?!" Dimas said as he looked at what hit their steel car.

Zerg with an adult-sized ant-like appearance was seen still wriggling beside the steel car, Dimas looked further and saw some shadows in the distance starting to approach which can be ascertained is another zerg. Dimas doesn't know how many zergs roam here because of the dark environment without any sun.

"What kind of creature is that? A mutated animal?" The soldiers also saw the zerg that hit the steel car they were curious and asked what the creature was. The driving soldiers even wanted to get out and approach what hit their steel car but Dimas quickly stopped it as the zergs started to get closer to their steel car.

"Gass the gas as quickly as possible, hit if anything gets in the way and also prepare your weapons" Dimas said seriously.

The soldiers also noticed the circumstances around which became somewhat gripping and upon hearing Dimas' words they immediately released their weapon guards while observing the surroundings outside the steel car. Everyone inside the car the many shadows in the distance approached little by little became clear, the shadow was an ant that stood upright the size of an adult making everyone in the car feel a goosebumping feeling.

"Gass the rig!" Dimas yelled at the driving soldier that made the soldier directly step on the gas with all his might so the steel car immediately drove at full speed to hit some zerg so that some zerg bounced away.
