In an abandoned city neighborhood filled with snow where a snowmobile is speeding towards the outskirts of town. The person driving the snowmobile was of course Dimas who was heading to where the nearest meteor debris was. The holographic map contains a planned travel route by artificial intelligence A to where meteor fragments are displayed from a special watch and Dimas only needs to follow that route.
The distance from the official shelter to the location of the meteor debris can be said to be close, within 20 minutes driving with normal speed snowmobile finally Dimas arrived near where the meteor debris fell. In this suburban area there are very few buildings around it, Dimas attention was fixed on a tree that was 10 meters in front of him.
The tree seen by Dimas has a height of 15 meters with very dense leaves in each branch. The surface of the tree has green glowing veins that keep ticking as if alive, on the ground below Dimas could feel something like it was ticking which was likely a collection of green veins that absorbed the heat from the ground and channeled it to the tree.
[It was found that the tree in front of the host was the seed of a zerg race nest, it was suggested to secure the tree into the laboratory] the same warning from the laboratory sounded in Dimas' mind.
"With a tree of this size it is likely that the underground zerg nest has been completed, there may be some zerg eggs that can be studied more accurately" Dimas muttered as he advanced slowly closer to the tree.
Zerg nests are actually part of the zerg race itself, but unlike other zerg nests zerg can only absorb energy and produce zerg eggs as well as treat injured zergs. You could say zerg nests are army barracks for zergs who attack other civilizations capable of producing new soldiers and treating old soldiers to continue sending them to the battlefield.
If the zerg has hatched and in large numbers then there are only two types of people who dare to approach the zerg nest, namely fools and strong people. But with no zerg produced now then there is nothing to be afraid of with this zerg nest.
Dimas walked over and the green veins beat faster as if in panic, Dimas ignored the panic of the zerg nest and touched the tree trunk with his hands. Through Dimas' instructions the tree began to fuse into atoms from the part it touched, the green veins beating faster but unable to put any resistance to Dimas.
It was not known by Dimas that the faster-beating veins fed more energy to some of the eggs in the nest that were just beginning to produce eggs. The green veins want to speed up the hatching of some eggs so that they can fight Dimas before the entire nest section melts into atoms. The smelting process carried out by the laboratory itself is quite time consuming so it is enough for the green veins to provide energy that allows some eggs to hatch.
A few minutes later some green glowing eggs were seen expanding and deflating abnormally, a claw perforating the eggshell from inside the egg followed by another claw trying to remove its body from inside the egg. The first zerg hatches followed by the second, third and so on until finally the tenth zerg hatches no more movement on other zerg eggs.
The zerg's nest orders the newborn zerg with infrasound waves, the nest instructs the baby zerg to dig into the ground and kill Dimas. The baby zerg though still an infant yet their strength is enough to face an ordinary human using the superiority of their numbers, the, the baby zerg started digging using his claws to the top while Dimas sat not far from the tree that was about to melt into atoms. The top of the tree is exhausted but the smelting done by the laboratory still continues to where the tree roots and also where the nest is located.
Dimas was able to recognize that this creature was not a larger praying mantis but a zerg, quickly Dimas picked up an electromagnetic weapon and pointed it towards the newly emerging zerg. Other zergs began to appear until finally all ten zergs came out and surrounded Dimas from all sides.
"Damn it, how can a zerg's nest produce zerg so quickly?" Dimas grumbled while aiming at the baby zerg who was moving very quickly.
Unlike an action movie where enemies will advance one by one while fighting the protagonist, all zergs attack Dimas simultaneously from all directions. Dimas several times shot zerg in front of him but his shot always misses because the zerg is too nimble.
"Open shield!" Dimas immediately shouted, the zerg babies were already very close and when they jumped to implant their claws in Dimas' body a special electromagnetic field stopped their attacks.
The circular electromagnetic shield protects Dimas completely from the outside world, even as the electromagnetic shield has the same effect as electricity in general making all zergs that hit the electromagnetic shield electrocuted and disrupted their movement. Dimas quickly aimed again at the zerg and shot at the zerg who was unable to move due to the electric current from the electromagnetic shield.
Dimas fired after making sure his shot was on target, Dimas pulled the trigger and electromagnetic energy was immediately launched into ammunition with no recoil at all. The electromagnetic energy hit one of the zerg and killed it with a huge hole in its body. Dimas shot two more zergs and killed a total of three zergs leftover zergs that were already free of the stun effects and not so stupid as to crash into the electromagnetic shield again. Hence this time it was Dimas who crashed his electromagnetic shield-protected self into the zerg and killed them one by one.
"My shot was terrible, it seems like I need to practice shooting from now on" Dimas recalled how many missed shots could only shake his head.
Fortunately Dimas had an electromagnetic shield, otherwise Dimas was mutilated by a baby zerg and made into food. Dimas also put 10 zerg corpses into the lab for further research. The zerg eggs are connected to the zerg nest so Dimas does not need to dig up the ground to find the zerg eggs.
Dimas quickly boards his snowmobile and goes to the official sanctuary to meet his father who must have been waiting for Dimas.
Dinas drove quickly following the route he had previously passed, about 20 minutes later Dimas had been right in front of the guardrail of the official sanctuary. Dimas reentered the snowmobile to the lab and skipped over the fence skillfully, then Dimas walked back to the market area to meet his father who must have been waiting.
