CHAPTER 28 - Truth

After Daniel leaves Callista's apartment. Callista walked into his room, picked up the phone on the nightstand. He wanted to contact his mother directly. He wanted to hear an explanation from his mother.

"Hallo" Callista said

"Darling, what's wrong?" Alice asked, astonished that her son called her. He usually calls his youngest daughter first.

"Ma, I want you to be honest"

Alice hears Callista's remarks, confused as to what her daughter means.

"What do you mean, baby?" Ask Alice in surprise.

"Daniel came here. He told her about her mother and father's relationship. I want you to explain to me ma. I'm a little tired of getting involved with mama's past affairs."

Alice took her breath.

"Callista, forget it. Didn't you tell mom you wanted to start a new page?"

"Mama has been in a relationship with Daniel's father Gio for 7 years. Gio proposed to mama on our anniversary. Mama accepted, too, when she told your grandfather about Gio proposing to you. Your grandfather asked your mother to marry your father. Grandpa's company was in a mess. Grandpa's company's shares are almost half owned by your papa. Your papa has long liked mama, finally your papa asked grandfather to marry mama to him" said Alice.

Hearing her mother's explanation, Callista only sighed. His mother's words were the same as Daniel's.

"Then did mommy love papa?" Callista is back.

"Do you know anything about Mr. Gio after he married Papa?"
