CHAPTER 118 - Calming Alice

Esme, who is enjoying her drink, is now staring at the news on TV. He pulled the corner of his lips to form a knotty smile.

"The youngest daughter of the Hutomo Family was shot, until now the Princess of the Hutomo family is still unconscious" said Reporter.

"Callista Hutomo, lucky for you. Beautiful, smart, rich and have a perfect husband. You took my Thomas, didn't you? I'm sure Daniel will be in my arms" Esme muttered as she stared at the TV.

"Daniel is a perfect man. He is the most appropriate man to be with me" Esme exclaimed.

Daniel felt his heart completely unsettled. She squeezed her hair hard, bad thoughts kept looming over her. Many times Grace tried to raise her brother but in vain.

Michael who has delivered Alice, he asks David to keep Alice temporarily. Michael ran straight to his daughter's treatment room.

“Grace, why my daughter?” ask the worried Michael.

“Uncle, uncle calm down. The doctor is doing treatment. Callista's heart was weakened but trust me uncle. Callista will be fine” said Grace who tried to reassure Michael.

Michael who heard that, he felt his chest very tight. He sat down and could no longer hold back his tears.

“My daughter, realize nak” shrieked Michael.

Tidal long later Olivia out of the Callista treatment runag. Daniel and Michael approach Olivia.

"Olivia how's my wife and son?" ask Daniel who is worried.

"Olivia how's my daughter?" ask Michel.

Olivia sighed in "Callista's condition is much better, but Mr. Daniel and uncle there's something important I have to say" Olivia said.

"Say liv" said Daniel and Michael.

"Callista's heart is still beating until now because of the help of the machine, but if the machine was removed actually Callista was not helped" said Olivia who shed tears.

"No no" cried Daniel.

"Olivia, I don't care how much money I have to spend. Keep my wife and child safe" Daniel exclaimed.

"Ka, calm down" said Grace.

"Olivia, don't let my little daughter go unhelpful" said Michael.

"I don't know how to live my life without my daughter" she continued.

"Mr Daniel and Uncle Michael, I will try my best. Callista is my best friend, I won't even be able to lose him. We pray that Callista can recover soon" Olivia said.

"Liv, can I see my wife?" ask Daniel.

"Please" said Olivia.

"Daniel, you go in first, son. Let papa take care of mama first." said Michael and Daniel immediately nodded.

Olivia and Grace walked out of Daniel. Michael returns to Alice's ward.

Daniel went straight into his wife's room.

"Darling, why aren't you aware? I can't sleep without you. I'm always used to sleeping in your arms, being kissed by you. Quickly realize dear" said Daniel while stroking his wife's cheek.

"Do you know when I first saw you? you are a very beautiful girl. Your bravery, toughness and stubbornness make me really fall in love with you" he continued.

"I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful wife like you, you're so funny. You often persuade me to follow your will. But you finally obey me"

"Darling, how many days have you been unconscious.I really miss your voice, your touch, Wake up sweet heart"

"Son, tell mommy son. Quickly realize Daddy can not live without you" said Daniel who returned to shed his tears.

Grace was sitting in her study. He looked back at Olivia's words. He could not imagine if something bad happened to his brother-in-law.

The door sounds open.

Grace was surprised to see the figure of the man she missed walking into her study.

Grace immediately ran to hug the man she missed so much.

"Edward" cried Grace who immediately embraced Edward.

"Hi, everything is gonna be alright" whispered Edward and Grace immediately nodded.

"So I went to Callista's ward, but I saw Daniel talking to Callista. I don't feel good bothering him." said Edward.

"I also went to Olivia's study, asking about Callista. I know this baby is gonna pass. She is very kind. He'll be fine, he'll be as healthy as ever" Edward said.

"Edward, I'm the first time in my life. Seeing my sister cry" Grace said.

"The man still has feelings, he will cry if he is afraid of losing the person he loves" said Edwrad.

"I remember what Callista said if there was always a rainbow after the rain" Grace said, and Edward nodded in agreement.

"God would not have the heart to separate Daniel and Callista, especially now Callista is pregnant is not it? I'm sure God will save Callista" Edwrad said.

"Yes I'm sure that, my nephew is my son too. I want my sister-in-law and my son to stay healthy" Grace said.

"Better, you should strengthen your brother often. Give him confidence that his wife and child will survive" Edward said.

"Yes, thank you for being by my side, Edward" said Grace, who hugged Edward again.

"Being by your side is the greatest fortune of my life Grace" Edward said, smiling.

Michael, who has just returned from Callista's nursery, is now looking after his wife.

"Pa" call Alice.

"Yes, mom, are you awake?" asked Michael gently.

"Callista's conscious, isn't he?" ask Alice.

"Oh ma, Callista is conscious" replied Michael who was forced to lie.

"Then take your mom to our little daughter pa, you want to hug her" Alice said enthusiastically.

"Right now Callista is sleeping ma, he still feels pain in his wound. We'll see her when she wakes up" Michael said gently.

"But papa is right, pa? our daughter's conscious, isn't she?" ask Alice again who is now looking at her husband.

"Yes, our daughter is conscious. Don't you know we have a very strong little princess?" michael said that made Alice smile.

"Right pa, my daughter is not a weak woman. He's so strong, it's impossible for anything to happen to my daughter" Alice and Michael said, hugging his wife.

"I also hope that our daughter will soon come to her senses, I can't imagine anything bad happening to our daughter" Michael muttered in his heart.

Michael had previously met with a doctor. It was currently impossible to give Alice any bad news. It would disturb Alice's psyche. Eventually Michael chooses to lie if his youngest daughter is okay. I don't know when he's lying, but there's no way he's telling his wife the truth.

Even when Jessica called Michael, Michael said everything would be fine. He's not willing to say Callista's situation now. Michael had to lie to his eldest daughter and his wife. Michael knew they would be shaken if they knew the truth.
