Episode 84 Asks for Restu

Vara, Bry, Kevin and Daniel have arrived in Indonesia. Arriving at Soekarno Hatta Airport, they have been picked up by the driver and several personal bodyguards. They will both go to City B, but Kevin and Daniel will be delivered directly to their respective apartments. While Bry will take Vara first to his house, as well as meet Vara's parents to convey his intention to visit with his parents in a few days.

Kendrick and Reyvan actually wanted to come back to Indonesia, but after considering many things, they decided to go home a few days before Vara and Bry's wedding. Meanwhile, Satya, Larry and his men will go to England first before returning to Indonesia.

The sky had turned orange when Bry's driver loaded the car that Bry and Vara drove into Vara's yard. While 1 car containing a personal guard monitors from a safe distance, so as not to invite the attention of the Vara family.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat.. Ma's.. Pa.. Vara's home."

Mama Irena who felt the sound of her daughter's voice, immediately came out of her room towards the living room.

"Wa'alaikum.. Honey, Mama thinks Mama just misheard."

Mama Irena hugged Vara with teary eyes.

"Mom don't think you'll be there long, honey. Mama is so sad."

"I'm sorry Vara ya Ma.. Vara's made Mama sad."

"Yes Dear.. Why would Bry come home with you? Did he pick you up at the airport?"

Mama Irena takes off her arms when she realizes that Bry is standing behind Vara. He approached Bry while stretching out both hands intending to hug Bry who immediately greeted Bry with a warm embrace.

"Bry picked Vara up to Granada Ma.."

Vara's explanation surprised Mama Irena who immediately released her embrace on Bry.

"Is that really Bry?"

Bry commented his smile towards Mama Irena who put on a questionable look.

"True Aunt.. Bry can't get far from Vara, so Bry accidentally picks Vara up to take her home."

"Bry, thank you, you brought Vara home."

"Pa.. Here Pa.."

Mama Irena called Papa Devan who was in the room, a moment later Papa Devan came out and looked surprised to see the whereabouts of Vara she knew was in Granada. I also saw Bry next to Vara.

"Vara, you're finally home, baby."

Papa Devan grabbed Vara's body and kissed Vara's temple.

"Says Bry picked Vara up to Granada, Pa."

Mama Irena's explanation made Papa Devan round her eyes, and took off her grip on Vara.

"Seriously Bry?"

Bry who saw the questionable look on the face of his future father-in-law just nodded with a smile.

"Thank you Candidate Mantu."

Papa Devan's words invited the laughter of Bry, Vara and Mama Irena.

"Together the future Papa-in-Law."

Again they laughed happily, especially Bry who felt his plan to marry Vara will not be hampered by the blessing of both parents Vara, because they already consider him as a prospective daughter-in-law.

"Of.. Aunt.. There's something Bry wants to talk about."

"Oh yeah, Papa, Vara and Bry sit down first. Mama stayed a while, would like to ask Bi Rahma to prepare food and drinks for all of us."

Mama Irena leaves the living room for the kitchen, while Papa Devan, Vara and Bry sit in the living room.

"What do you want to talk about Bry?"

"Look Om, I'm asking Om's permission to marry Vara in the near future."

The shock was clearly reflected on Papa Devan's face, which was immediately turned into a probing look towards Bry who was looking seriously at Papa Devan.

Mama Irena, who had just returned to the living room, was shocked when her husband asked about marrying Bry.

"Of.. Aunt.. Bry is very serious about this relationship, Bry is also already convinced by Bry's feelings for Vara. Bry doesn't want to be far from Vara. Bry wants to always keep Vara without any time or distance restrictions. Bry promised to love and look after Vara all of Bry's life."

Papa Devan and Mama Irena studied all of Bry's words deeply. The absence of the slightest doubt in Bry's tone, made Papa Devan and Mama Irena easily capture Bry's seriousness to marry their daughter.

"Then you are Vara.. Are you going to marry Bry? You are currently in thesis, are you sure you can undergo college and your marriage well?"

"Vara sure, Pa.. We've been talking about this. That's not a problem at all, because Bry is very supportive of Vara, Pa.."

Papa Devan nodded his head trying to understand the wishes of the child and his future son-in-law.

"But, I'm sorry Mama.. Previously, Mama wanted to ask, did you guys make a mistake so you want to get married as soon as possible?"

"No Maaaa.."

Vara yelled in annoyance, while Bry just held back a smile from getting the same question as his Mommy question.

"No Aunt.. We've never done anything too far that could ruin a family's good name."

"Thank God, Aunt is just worried."

Bry smiled looking at Mama Irena who breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing her explanation.

"Bry asks Om and Aunt for the blessing to marry Vara soon, and the day after, Bry's parents will come here to officially propose to Vara to marry Bry."

"Alright Bry.. Whatever makes Vara happy, we will support her. Om and Aunt accept your good intentions to marry Vara.  We want the best for you both."

"Thank you so much Om and Auntie.."

"From now on call us Mama and Papa huh Candidate Mantu."

Now it was Mama Irena's turn to tease Bry while glancing at Papa Devan, making Vara and Bry smile.

"Thank you Ma.. Pa.."

Bry approached Papa Devan and Mama Irena, kissing their hands and hugging them in turns, giving off a strong sense of haru between them. Mama Irena could not even hold back the tears that were dripping down with a swift embrace of Bry tightly.

Please take care of your child, dear. Be happy and take good care of Vara!

Bry promise Ma.. Bry will always look after, protect, be happy and love Vara throughout Bry's life.

Mama took off her hug from Bry and nodded slowly trying to trust the promise of the future son-in-law in front of her.

Keep your promise Bry, although sometimes things will try to tempt and shake your efforts.

Bry nodded confidently as he looked deeply at Papa Devan.

Yes Pa.. Bry will keep all of Bry's promises to Vara.

Papa Devan and Mama Irena smiled happily at the confidence and seriousness shown by Bry. They feel confident about taking off their son for Bry, who they think is the perfect figure to accompany their beloved daughter.
