I fell asleep, when I woke up it was night. I then came out of my room, saw Gibran sitting in the living room together to his two parents while my grandmother was holding Aurora at the dining table while giving her milk.
"Are you awake?" My grandmother smiled warmly at me.
"Why am I not awake? When's grandma coming?" ask me while caressing Aurora's face. She immediately removed her milk bottle and raised both of her hands, gesturing for me to carry her immediately.
I then carried Aurora and kissed her occasionally. The restlessness of my heart instantly disappeared while he was in my arms.
Gibran then approached me with his parents.
"Whether you want to go home first, tomorrow we return again" said mama Gibran saying goodbye, I smiled and nodded my head.
"Yes mah, don't forget his son to bring you home." said I who immediately made Gibran pout.
"Darling, how am I supposed to be kicked out?" Gibran whined while holding on to my dress, probably meaning not to touch me carelessly but Gibran just looks like a child who is persuading his mother to buy a toy.
"There's no place for you here!"
"I'm okay to sleep on the floor like that time if your bed does not fit for the three of us."
"Was Gibran never slept in Jasmine's room before?" My grandmother suddenly asked, her expression even looked surprised as well as both of Gibran's parents now, considering that during the marriage, Gibran and I had never stayed at my grandmother's house.
"Ah that.." I immediately became nervous, all this because of the stupidity of Gibran who is now still acting as if he was innocent after saying all that.
Obviously I still remember when Gibran was staying at my house because that night he and I shared the first kiss.
Oh my God, my mind...
I mean, that night I was so shocked to meet my father for the first time in a long time and Gibran accompanied me who cried all night in my room.
"So before marriage you ever really did anything?" now it's Gibran's mom's turn to ask, as if I'm being interrogated I can't say anything.
"Gibrans?" Mama Gibran began to press now, finally Gibran realized if his speech caused new problems. She then took off my dress and scratched her nape.
"When Jasmine was in high school, I used to live in this house without my grandmother's knowledge."
"Astaghfirullah, so you two used to be macems?" My grandmother barked in shock.
"Sir, really nothing! Gibran nemenin I'm crying because of the shock of meeting the father again is not the past why is he angry now?"
"Yes because I just found out now, you two cheeky bastards. Good thing you're finally a soul mate now!" sambar was Gibran's mother who was anxious while pulling Gibran's ear until he grimaced in pain.
"Yes, if so Gibran mending go home, sleep on the floor of the box and Gibran's back hurt."
I immediately shook my head, gesturing for my grandmother not to give permission but Gibran attacked my grandmother with a hearty expression.
"Yes, if you want to stay here, let Rora sleep with grandma."
"Thank you grandma. Grandma knows me!"
"Can't! We're going to divorce when we're still sleeping in the room, don't want me!" I refused firmly once again.
"Jasmine, while the court has not legalized your divorce, it is not a sin to stay in the room." Mama Gibran persuaded gently.
It's not a matter of sin, God! I'm not sure of my safety if I have to sleep in a room with Gibran!
Oh shit! My mouth has not had time to protest when Gibran's parents had already left their children here with me.
"Based load!" I snorted at Gibran while stepping on his foot before finally going into my room carrying Aurora with me.
"Thank you, grandma." I heard Gibran again thanking him.
"Don't force the weird Jasmine, grandma will always be on Jasmine's side" my grandmother warned Gibran sternly, a little bit managed to reduce my frustration with my grandmother because I thought my grandmother was siding with Gibran just like Gibran's parents.
...
Gibran didn't go straight into my room, he was outside long enough that I forgot he was there. I went to take a shower after making sure Aurora had fallen asleep.
I couldn't take too long to bathe for fear of Aurora waking up so after taking a bath, using only a towel, I stepped out from inside the self-contained room and Gibran's whereabouts made my body instantly freeze.
The man was pulling his shirt up and taking it off, leaving only his pants until I could see his burly body and also a reddish mark at some point on his chest even at the nape of his neck. It's regretful that I didn't realize before that I left a trail in some place that could be clearly seen, maybe that's why Mama Gibran immediately let go of Gibran's ear earlier and immediately went along with her husband.
Maybe he saw hope in the kiss mark on Gibran's neck as well as my grandmother's in the hospital and I could still feel my grandmother supporting our divorce.
There was too much I thought, fascinated by her burly body that my mind drifted far back, to the hot night we had spent together before the anger had peaked after and now Gibran was in front of me for some time, standing looking at me and making it difficult for me to breathe.
Gibran lowered his gaze, I knew which way his naughty eyes were moving but my body was still not twitching in front of him.
"You know I'm very experienced, Jasmine." Gibran's voice sounded heavy in my ear as if his breath was held back just like mine and then he stepped even closer until my body was pushed back and almost fell down until I reflexively held on to his shoulder.
"It's me not to touch you carelessly, but you're not careful of me who always goes wild when it comes to you. Don't torture me, Jasmine... I really admit defeat if I have to face you like this..."
