Second Road

Second Road
Episode 12: Become a friend

Like a season that keeps changing. Sometimes it rains and sometimes it gets bright. Even though you know what the cycle is like, but you still don't know when the exact time is.

Same with fate. Sometimes you get lucky. And sometimes you're just pretty satisfied with the bad luck. This is called the wheel of life. He kept turning and rolling fate.

Even so, sometimes luck accompanies those who are patient. You must have listened to him, right?

It's about 10:30 now. Classes have been over for the morning and replaced with pleasant hours of rest for some.

You can do a lot of things during the break such as chatting, finishing pr that you forget to do or lunch. And that last point is what I wanted to do when I heard the long bell sound as a lesson hour mark ended earlier.

But I can't. I left the money my grandfather gave me this morning on the room table. I couldn't buy food and had to hang on to a stomach that couldn't stand being filled with a few mouthfuls of rice.

Why am I so stupid? I'll starve to death on my first day of school. School will end at two in the afternoon and that means there are still about three and a half hours left before grandfather picks me up. The journey home takes about half an hour by car. I also worry if it gets stuck on the road.

Please send someone to save my stomach...

I finally chose to sit alone in my chair while holding my stomach that has been brought up since.

"Migueling...Miguel...Haru Miguel, hi."

Someone approached me. A black-haired boy with a friendly smile. And I think he's handsome, too.

"Hi, please just call me Haru."

I returned his greeting. It turned out that he was the one sitting on my right, but I didn't pay much attention before.

"Good, Haru. I thought you were Japanese looking at your appearance and your name. My name is Mario Aryana. In short, call Arya ya."

"Yes Arya. I'm not japanese. Nice to meet you."

I held out my hand, and then we shook hands. It seems like we can be good friends later.

"You go to the cafeteria? I'll treat it as a welcome for you."

She smiled at me. God, is he the answer to my prayer?

"But I can't take it." A little stale will make you look polite. Didn't we? Although I won't actually refuse it.

"Ah, don't be. Come on, come with me." He pulled my hand while running a small run towards the classroom door. Anyone who saw us could probably misunderstand us a little. His hand was so strong that I couldn't escape.

"Hey, wait a minute !"

A girl with hair unraveling along her chest stopped us. His face looks a little sour. He approached me with that sour face. I reflexively retreated slowly until my feet touched one of the tables in the front row. I can't back off anymore.

"You...how did you do it?"

The girl still looked at me with an angry expression. What's wrong with her? Did I make a mistake? I just chose silence. Dealing with a fierce girl like her was not a good choice.

"That's one more time. How'd you do it?"

what the hell is this girl saying?

"I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean."

"How did you get into class without anyone knowing you were inside?!"

"I'm just walking, really." I'm trying to stay calm. I don't understand how to handle a girl who's on fire like this. He could explode.

"It's Yuna, don't be. You scared him. Come on, you go to the cafeteria too and we can chat while we eat."

"Now, eat. I'll deal with it."

Arya put the lunch set on the table. He looked a little troubled as he was carrying two trays at once.

I sat on the same bench as Arya, Yuna sitting across the table. The cafeteria is quite large. Long table lined up neatly. The food is also good. It is not wrong if this place is always crowded every hour of rest.

"You were great. Just until the teacher doesn't realize you're inside." Arya laughed while enjoying her lunch.

"I should be angry because you don't consider me to be." I pura pura pouted while opening the lid of the mineral water bottle that is still sealed tightly. Maya was silent and did not comment on our conversation.

"I'm sorry about that, I'm really unconscious. You were next to me. And by the way are your parents science fans?" Arya stuffed a mouthful of rice into her mouth voraciously.

"Okay, I don't know either. Why are you asking about that?"

"So your last name is Miguel. I thought your parents were big fans of Arias Miguel. You know him, right?"

"Actually it's a family name and he's my grandfather."

Just as I was talking, Arya immediately choked on her own food. He coughed a little so I had to pat him on the back and give him some water.

"Haru, didn't I hear wrong? You're..his grandchild?" I'm nodding. Arya looked at me closer. He doesn't seem to believe my words. So did Yuna who used to look indifferent now become a little more interested.

"But just adoption, anyway." I answered hesitantly, but that still did not change their interest.

"You're full of surprises. And if you're not mistaken, you're only 14. I'm 16 now, which means I'm older than you." Arya smiled broadly. His hands rubbed my head. Maybe this is how the fate of a 14-year-old short boy in high school. It seems we got along too quickly.

"Hey, where did you move from?"

Yuna finally entered the conversation. Previously he had only been silent with his sour look.

"I'm not a transfer student, but a new student." My food has been reduced by almost half. My hunger is healed.

"You're really weird, how can a new student come in the fourth month of semester one?" He seems unhappy with my existence. I can only smile. And if you think about it, didn't he give the aba this morning? So, Yuna is the head of her class. Maybe he's upset that he doesn't know I'm in his class without permission.

"Hey Haru, I like you." Arya smiled mischievously at me.

"Don't tell me who didn't." Yuna glared at him.

"I like him as a friend. Are you jealous?" Arya turned her eyes to Yuna.

"Ten.of course not. Where is it possible." Yuna looks brick-strapped. Looks like they're pretty close.

"Confess me, you can never get away from me, can you? We've been friends since SD. So it's not impossible that you like me." Arya is back heating up manation.

"Anu...do I know where the library is?"

I immediately cut their quarrel even though it was actually quite interesting to watch.

"You want to go to the library? I'll drive you." Arya showed her best smile.

"Before that, can you show me the toilet too?" Actually I'm a little kebellet. Because I didn't know where the toilet was, so I just held it off.

"You want to go to the toilet? Come on!" Arya pulled my hand back while running a small run. From now on I have to be careful to position my hands when I am near Arya. He likes to attract people.

I am grateful for today. Although it felt a little strange and arrived, but everything went well. I managed to befriend Arya and maybe Yuna too if she stopped glaring at me with her sour face.

I hope good things continue to follow in my footsteps. Not that I would think naively and think of everything as a good thing. Like a spinning wheel, bad things may come soon.

So, do not let your guard down and keep your eyes open. Or someone might pounce on you.
