Second Road

Second Road
prologues

There's one thing you have to remember all your life: never trust anyone.

Even when there are only a few people left in this world, and you're in it. And even if the tip of the sword has almost touched your neck and stomach. Keep your eyes and ears closed.

It's not just about trust, but also about your self-worth and your life. You never know what other people think and you never know what the path of destiny will lead you.

And if I told you that the world is so cruel, maybe you wouldn't believe my words completely. But there comes a time when you want to tear down the sky and melt the mountains. You would say, "the world is cruel" or "the world is unfair." As if you would have been cursed by the universe to receive it.

Painful right?

Destiny moves like a celestial body circling its orbit, and will always force you to accept what you have determined.

And if you want to get out of that horrible cycle, then you too will be forced to sacrifice something big.

Are you starting to think that's unfair ? Or are you thinking that I'm just a little braggart? It's up to you.

Because there are so many things in this world that you can't just see with formulas and exact science. Dude, your existence alone is a mystery.

And there's a lot that's happened without you knowing what it is. Everything happened without your consent. Lift up your head and challenge the world. Tell him that you will uncover the dark secret behind this false peace.

Being fifteen minutes in a white-painted square room every week was the thing I hated the most.

If I may curse someone, then I will curse the inventor of exact science who casually blends various kinds of complicated things and changes them at will. Okay, maybe that's overkill. But really, I hate him.

Being trapped in the shadow of death at all times is nothing new to me. And now I have to go through it again.

What do you think the shadow of death looks like? If you can feel it, then you'll think twice about dying.

It's probably been about five minutes I've been lying in this room. My breath is starting to break. Sweat dripped like a shower and an irresistible shout from my mouth broke the silence of the night. My tears are pouring out without me holding back. My voice was silent with the sound of an old model diesel engine located in the corner of the room.

I'm not strong anymore.

Beside me, an old man I called grandfather could only look at me with concern. I know very well from the look of his eyes that look pity.

With my consciousness almost gone and my energy drained away, I managed to pass fifteen minutes with a very heavy breath. My consciousness is starting to fade.

The old man rushed to untie me and removed all sorts of wires and hoses that had been tormenting me ever since. Quickly, he hugged my skinny body as he said

"i know, you're a strong boy," he stroked my hair fondly.

I don't know what this old man expected of me. Believe it or not, I escaped death.
