Part 9: Secrets

Part 9: Secrets

Alvia Darsya POV Princess

The class was heard noisily by the boys who were joking. I don't know what they're laughing at. It's used to me. Not in Padang or here, men are the same.

I see left and right, two handsome guys who are always stolen by the ladies are not here. Azka who is super busy people may be playing basketball or doing tasks that are often given by the Headmaster. While Farel, whose people are never busy, is very difficult to find. Really hard to find.

I went out to get wind. In the afternoon before going home is the best time to wander around eliminating. How not to be sad if it has been for hours on the class table. My drowsiness that had approached me earlier, was now slowly dissipated by the twilight breeze.

I saw someone on top of that three-story building. His face was faintly visible to me.

It's possible that Farel, Farel likes such a place, my mind's second-guessing itself. I ran to the highest place in our school.

My feet were stinging up every step of the stairs. Quite a lot of stairs that must be passed if you want to go up there. My breath began to grow tired. But a door becomes the end of the path of this ladder. I opened the door and saw a man standing looking up at the sky.

"Azka?" call me. He turned to look at me who was breathing. He turned around smiling at me. His narrowed eyes really make his face look cute complete with both dimples attached to both cheeks. The light of the sun fell onto his white face like a Japanese man.

"Hi Alvia, you finally found my favorite place" he told me. He turned around and saw the view he had from above.

"Azka, do you like being alone like this?" my many.

The view above is beautiful. The sturdy buildings of Pekanbaru City look like a vast expanse. They are racing each other to claw at this Malay sky.

"Alvia, you think the rain-waiter is alone who likes to be alone. Everyone needs time on their own. If he is, his life is destined to be his own," said Azka.

I don't really like it when he calls Farel that.

However, how did Azka know about the designation rain-waiter?

Suddenly, the big question came back to my mind.

"Yesterday when I asked him how Farel's father was, he was acting strangely. It's like pain. What the hell happened to him?" I'm going to slow down on Azka.

Azka's reaction is unpredictable. He looked quickly. His eyes were looking at me focused.

"After that, what happened there was Farel?" Azka asked directly.

His tone signaled a sign of anxiety. I quietly did not answer because I was surprised to see Azka's excessive reaction.

He held both of my shoulders hard. "Alvia, after that how is it?" Azka's tone sounded loud.

"Alvia, you shouldn't have said that to Farel" Azka said. The words surprised me. His face was glazed by the sun. The pounding afternoon air made the strands of Azka's hair twitch.

My tears felt like coming out when I remembered Farel's state in the library.

"And I didn't see Farel that rich that time. In the library too. Farel looks agitated. He hit the table unconscious. Thankfully, there was Cessa at the time. What happened to Farel?" My tears fell to my cheeks. Some of my emotions were touched until the tears were not contained anymore. Azka still did not answer my question.

"And Cessa begged me to make Farel smile again. What happened Azka. Tell me!" I let go of his hand on my shoulder. I held her hand gently.

"Azka, Farel why?" I said while holding her hand tightly. I hope that grip melts the man's heart in front of me to answer that question.

He still does not answer. His face was staring at the empty floor. His breathing seemed slow. Even though dusk keeps leaving us. I always wish every twilight was happy without tears like this.

I heard someone open the door so hard. The pounding of his shoes on this floor sounded as loud as running.

Suddenly he spoke. But that is not Azka. The tall man behind him who came in a sudden. He is not alone, in his grasp there is a beautiful woman wrapped in a white hijab. Looks beautiful and sweet.

"I've had depression since my father died. What Alvia saw was part of my depressive symptoms" Farel said suddenly.

Cessa seemed to hold Farel's hand to step. But he was too weak for a Farel.

Farel held Azka's collar tightly. His fist pointed right at Azka's face. The slashing of his punch made Azka take a few steps back. I don't understand what's going on.

"That's for you who made Cessa cry" Farel said with an irregular breath.

I tried to digest Farel's words.

Azka made Cessa cry? What the hell is going on?

Farel held his head. He fell down and groaned in pain. Cessa nan worriedly called out her name many\-times. I tried to step in to calm him down.

But a hug stopped my steps,

"It's okay, Cessa here, Farel. There's nothing to worry about" Cessa said in Farel's ear.

The hug and soft words calmed Farel who groaned in pain. He slowly calmed down. Farel no longer held her head, but Cessa still gently stroked her head.

The pain changed, but to me. Something's stuck with me. Precisely in this chest cavity. Feeling hot and sick.

I hated that hug.
