Part 24: Friends

Part 24: Friends

Azka Aldric Friend

I've been alone for three days. Passing the day in silence and silence. Only the sunshine and the breezy breeze I allow to chat. Tell me about everything, about love and heartbreak. It hurts when I tell stories only answered by the wind. I want to hear a sentence that makes me a little excited.

I do not feel bored up here, but I feel more bored to continue to bear the status of students who have been attached. We're already on the cusp of high school boredom. The end of the time we went through, this was the\-time we waited to quickly finish our three-year venture in High School.

It doesn't feel like we're going to have two more weeks of National Exams. It feels like my heart is pounding when I imagine what a truly boring UN atmosphere is. On the other hand my spirit is burning to quickly do so.

I heard a door open behind me. I looked, it was Farel. He walked towards me. Not like he used to come here to see me, especially since that incident. I dare not look him in the eyes. I'm afraid he'll return.

"It doesn't need to be that tough, Azka" he said as he stood beside me. Half his smile was thrown at the expanse of visible city scenery.

   "I'm sorry" I said without a burden.

"Yes, I understand, really. I was also wrong to never say that I liked it."

I nodded slowly. I looked at his face. There are no words of vengeance there. Come in peace with his field of unbrimmed chest. I feel bad for always thinking negatively about her.

"Farel, Alvia's been fond of you for a long time. I only call him so his love for you disappears. But I failed. Alvia remains a defense of her feelings."

Farel laughed a little. He rarely showed that laugh. Quite a secret and only shown to certain people.

"Hmm, it feels good to know that the person we love also loves back. Never mind, don't wait too long for Cessa to wait. Cessa's been feeling enough pain because of you" she replied.

I returned the laughter. "There's no reason to be jealous between us. You don't feel jealous of Alvia."

"Ah, you too. Don't be jealous to see Cessa with me. Don't repeat the old thing again. And don't waste him anymore. He's good for you."

Tiredness hit my body. It's time to go back home. It was late enough to enjoy everything up there. Maybe it was different with Alvia. For Alvia, the dusk became more and more fixated to last. That's what I like about that twilight lady sometimes.

I headed towards my car. Our school parking lot is wide enough to accommodate all the students' vehicles. It is right behind the school. Although this is an elite school, students still prefer to ride motorcycles. It may be more practical for the streets of Pekanbaru which often jammed during a busy morning.

I saw someone standing in front of my car. He looked at me who was walking there. The body is strong but not higher than me. I'm sure he's not from school here, maybe he's not a schoolboy. A layer of Polo shirts and jeans attached to his body.

"You're Azka, right? I'm looking for Farel" said the man. His face looks masculine complete with neat hair combed back.

"He doesn't exist. Get out of my car" I replied a little harshly. I've heard this question quite often. People\-people are looking for Farel who often have problems with outsiders.

"Oh, so. Tell him, Don't go near Alvia," he replied. I was shocked when he mentioned Alvia's name.

"Who are you to prevent Farel from getting close to Alvia?"

He took two steps closer and said, "I'm Zaki. Alvia never told you?"

The man stepped away. I just watched him enter a car. Alvia once mentioned a name.

"Mistake it, he's the guy." I clenched my hand hard.

The next two days Farel came to me. His eyes looked puffy and reddened. His hands clenched holding something. I'm sure something's wrong with him. His hand pulled my collar hard.

"DOES ALVIA REALLY LOVE ME?"
