Part 3: Your name

Part 3: Your name

Alvia Darsya POV Princess

My heart beats when I step foot. Today is a special day for me. Finally my new shoes will be worn after two weeks I never wear.

The label of Diponegoro High School is perched on my shoulder, one of the elite schools in Pekanbaru. It's good to have new friends. There will be laughter from my new friends.

I am from Padang City. My father, who was originally Pekanbaru, chose to move back to Pekanbaru because he was transferred to work by the company where he worked.

Yes, now here I am. In the Malay land that was hot enough for me. A little hotter than the city of Padang. While in Padang, I could see the beautiful hills clearly. However, here I will not see him again. Here are filled with buildings that if seen a little unclear because the air is filled with a thin smog. Often Pekanbaru City is filled with smog of forest fires.

"Sir" I said to the school security guard. He's probably in his fifties. There was a little gray hair growing in her hair.

"Yes, there's a lot of baggage." he replied.

He was right, not only the school bag I was carrying but the guitar bag I was holding. I like to play music, especially guitar. The principal asked me to be active in the school's music studio.

Along the way, I was always looked at by other students. I understand that. I'm a new kid here and they've never seen me before. I blushed a little at those who kept looking at me.

Someone hit me from behind.

"Hey!!!"

The man still did not pierce. Just calmly walk without burden. Everyone looked at him, but he didn't care.

My heart curses to the man. But this morning was too long to keep doing it.

I walked towards the back of the school. A basketball court was there. Not far from the basketball court, there was an iron chair that placed each other back. I decided to sit there first before going around to get to know this school further.

"Haaaa, the air's fresh." I opened my arms wide trying to embrace the fresh wind that passed by.  "Who doesn't sit here."

Slowly I smiled how wonderful it would be if I could be alone with the person I like here.

I put down my guitar and went to look around for a while. This school is quite large. My move won't be able to explore everything this morning. I saw a lot this time. Starting from the laboratory, futsal field, art room, UKS, even a place to hang out boys. My move ended in the Headmaster's room. I forgot I had to see him this morning. I slowly opened the Headmaster's room. Seemed there he was sitting reading the files on his desk. There also stood a male student.

"How's it been lately?" ask the Headmaster to the student.

"As usual, Mom, she still doesn't want to hang out. I always keep an eye on him" replied the student. However, the Headmaster listened to him without even looking at him. He was too busy with the files on his desk.

"Assalamu'alaikum" I said slowly.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," they answered. The male disciple looked at me in surprise, but slowly he smiled at me.

I got closer to the Headmaster's desk quickly.

"Teeth." I shook the Headmaster's hand.

The male disciple was surprised to hear me as Etek. Etek is the name of aunty or aunt in Minang or Malay. Yeah right, this one I'm experiencing is my mother's sister.

"Alvia, in school do not call etek in school dong. Call me" he said with a laugh.

"Alvia, will call Etek as Bu Etek. Haha .... " I laughed for a moment. The male student next to me also laughed.

"Azka, this is Mom's niece. Name's Alvia. Moving from Padang." My aunt introduced me to the boy.

Her delivery looks sweet and friendly. His smile was so light when he showed it.

"I Azka. Hello, yeah, yeah." He smiled back at me.

I read the name label on his chest.

"Mr Etek, which class does Alvia belong to?" ask the Headmaster or my Etek. He did not answer my question, but said to Azka.

"Azka, you'll take Alvia to your Class Guardians. Alvia will be in your class" he said.

Azka just nodded in understanding.

After that we walked out of the principal's room. We walked slowly without a purpose. I just followed where Azka wanted to go. As we walked together, the entire disciples looked at us, especially the female disciples who were staring cynically at me. I just ignored it.

"What's wrong with them Azka?" ask him. My head was raised again to see his face. My height is the same as Azka's chest.

"You'd better find out who I was" he replied briefly and Azka walked into a room. I saw a sign above the door of the room. Not long after that Azka came out with a basketball.

"I asked, you know, but you just brought it to life by giving me orders. Weird." I discussed the answer earlier.

"They are the strangest, the time never see the street people both anyway," he replied.

I nodded in understanding. We walked together to a basketball court. He went there to play the ball.

"You were asked to send me to the Guardian Class, you know, not to the basketball court." I folded my hands and let him run his basketball dribble. "More, just get there."

His smile returned as he played his basketball. He looks so sweet when he smiles. Especially when the dimples next to his cheeks began to appear. His face looks oriental. She was so cute when her eyes squinted.

From here I see the guitar I put on the seat earlier. It is still neatly located complete with his guitar bag.

There he was not alone, there was someone sitting nearby. He always looked at the slowly moving sky. He sat down in the fresh morning breeze. In front of him was a grove of trees and flowers contested by bees and butterflies. Not long after, he saw my guitar.

His eyes seemed hesitant to touch her. I knew he wouldn't be able to stand my smooth guitar. Made from mahogany wood by one of the famous artists in Yogyakarta City. His voice was so sweet that even the birds would sing if I picked them with harmonious melodies.

Azka was tired of her basketball and sat next to me. His eyes were straight at the man playing my guitar

"Cowok is playing the guitar well." Suddenly my mouth spoke for itself. Break the silence between us.

"Yes, unfortunately he is quiet and does not like to hang out. I also like to play guitar, someone left it in my house first" Azka replied as she looked at the man playing the guitar.

The melody he played forced me to approach him. I left Azka struggling with her basketball back, while I walked to the seat.

"Hi" I said suddenly. "Your guitar is good too."

He looked slowly. His eyes looked sharp at me. Like seeing every detail of my face. The crashing wind forced her straight hair to sway. The color of the skin is not too brown, not as white as the Azka I just knew thirty minutes ago. My head was still raised as I tried to look at his face.

He was the one who hit me earlier.

I asked him to play the melody again. However, he refused. His steps were firm to leave.

"What's your name?" my question stopped his steps.

"Is that important to you?" answer's short.

His eyes were on Azka who was playing basketball. Looks focused on observing Azka nan is engrossed in his own activities. However, Azka realized immediately that she was being seen by the man. Their cold eyes clashed with each other. The man finally relented and left immediately.

Azka drove me to my new Class Guardians. Shortly after, I was taken to a new class.

I smile.

"It turns out we're classmates, weird guy! I'll tell you your name."
