This afternoon Theodore arrived at the western defensive post with some shocking news.
"You sure?! We will be pulled from the front line and return to the Academy?!" Julie who was too excited to unconscious gripped Theodore's shoulder.
Theodore cleared his throat, Julie flinched and immediately took off her hand. "It's more precisely 'you', because I'm going to keep doing my job. You'll be picked up by train soon, Alex, I leave the responsibility of all the Academy's people on the way to you."
Alex nodded. "Understand."
"Good, since my goal has been delivered, I will continue to serve." In an instant, Theodore had already disappeared from sight.
Julie looks very excited, she immediately runs towards the barracks of women leaving Alex and the others behind.
Dustin punched Alex in the shoulder. "So you're coming back? Too bad, when I want to take you to play with Magdalena." Magdalene is Dustin's regular brothel worker.
Alex laughs. "I'm not interested in wearing your old stuff."
Gilbert and Wilman laughed at Alex's reply. "I'll be waiting for you in this hell, you have fun again there."
"While you can stay alive, you think we're at the Academy just having fun anyway? You don't know yet what kind of training will be waiting for us there." Alex grimaced to imagine what kind of training he would undergo after coming home from the battlefield.
They were silent for a while, the atmosphere became a little awkward. "Uh ... You know, I ... No, we owe you our lives." Gilbert patted Alex on the shoulder.
Alex smiled a little. "I'll charge it someday."
"Make sure to do it." Dustin.
...****************...
Alex stood dumbstruck, in front of him at this moment was a sight that felt so foreign to him even though he had seen it many times before. A melancholic feeling suddenly appeared in his heart.
He was standing in front of the entrance gate of the Academy, a large plank inscribed with the 'Academy of the Western Continent Alliance' plastered before him.
When he first came to this place, someone came and shocked him from behind, starting from that little thing, they ended up being good friends. Without him noticing, tears piled up on his eyelids when he realized that it would not be repeated this time.
"Alex Collin?" A voice greeted him, he turned to the side, where the voice came from.
That person was Instructor Derrantes, the father of Brenda, Alex immediately approached the man and regretted his experience. The instructor was seen observing his face for a few moments, then he smiled and patted her on the shoulder a few times.
"You've been through a lot, haven't you?"
Alex was silent for a moment before finally smiling faintly and nodding softly, Instructor Derrantes shook Alex's shoulder. "Anford and the southeastern people have arrived some time ago."
"They're fine, but it seems Raymond seems a little unhappy with the developments in the south." Instructor Derrantes continued, he chuckled at Alex's confused expression. "Later you'll know when you see it."
They parted ways in the main corridor, Instructor Derrantes seemed to be heading for the office or training area. Alex then walked towards the dorm building when suddenly Instructor Derrantes called back to him from a distance.
"You know, the south. Don't blame your partner too much, especially Alvaro."
