Alex and his remaining colleagues were eventually taken by an evacuation unit to a defense outpost and received further treatment there.
Although Wilman, Saul and Tristan were quite miserable, fortunately none of them had fatal injuries, they only had to rest longer due to the loss of a lot of blood due to their wounds.
There were no obstacles at all during the evacuation unit carrying out their duties, there were no signs of the appearance of demons and they did not experience any other difficulties, all went smoothly.
Another unit was dispatched to retrieve the bodies of the victims, there were about twenty victims in the attack. The unit that secured their bodies was astonished when most of the soldiers' bodies did not carry their bottles of alcohol.
The next day, Alex had fully recovered, although many parts of his body were bandaged by needle shots that left scratches on his body.
"Morning is fun." As for the voice of a woman, Alex looked back, the source of the voice.
"Julie." He was one of the two remaining wanderers of light power from the team previously sent west.
The girl was seen stroking a large panther. "Morning street?" Ask Alex.
"That's how."
The strength this girl gains is taming animals, she can tame any animal as long as she takes the appropriate approach. For the favorite panther, Alex heard that Julie gave the deer her hunt to this animal.
There were a few other animals that he tamed, although most of them were simply released in the forest around the defensive outpost. Because of her ability, the animal she tamed could not harm another human, it was a kind of contractual bond, Julie said. I don't know, Alex doesn't really understand either.
Actually, Alex was eager to be able to summon his fairies and use them to help him in the battle, but unfortunately summoning a little elf alone consumed quite a lot of energy.
If he were to overly forcefully summon such a high-class elf when he summoned the Phoenix in the first war in the southeast, he would get heavy consequences, the Phoenix even warned him loudly back then. But no other choice came to Alex's mind at the time.
Phoenix said that Alex was lucky not to catch fire at the time, using the power of a high-class fairy to give a recoil impact like the power of Alvaro.
If only he could muster his entire peri, perhaps he could overcome the demon attack by himself, considering the number of fairies in the fairy realm was overwhelming. Julie's strength would definitely be a laughing stock compared to her strength.
Alex laughed in his heart, poor Julie. Julie's? Alex was silent, an idea flashed through his mind.
"Fenrir, is it possible for Julie to make fairies her familiar?"
"We don't have a definite answer, there are indeed people who can make contracts with fairies and make them as familiar, but what strength this woman can work on fairies, I don't know."
If Julie can indeed make a contract with the fairies, it is certain that their combat strength increases greatly, rather than just a ferocious beast that can only bite and claw, the fairies are definitely better right?
"It looks like it's worth a try, doesn't it?"
"I think so."
"Hey, Julie."
"Hm?" Julie who was stroking the stomach of the panther turned her head, all the soldiers were staring at the scene in horror, still not used to seeing such a thing.
"Do you want to experiment with me?"
"Experiments?"
"We'd better move somewhere, I'll explain along the way."
...****************...
The two of them move to a forest close to the defense post, as well as the residence of Julie's other animals. Like lions, tigers, bears round faces, grizzly bears, various types of snakes to flocks of birds.
For some reason Julie chose this place, maybe she was afraid Alex was planning something bad for her. It is not uncommon for male soldiers to trap female soldiers and do indecent things with coercion.
"So? What experiment do you mean?" Julie asked as she stroked the round face bear that was only about three times the height of an adult, Julie who stood her back to Alex while caressing a giant creature and surrounded by many other beasts was truly an impressive sight.
Actually Julie intends to show off a little while trying to make Alex intimidated. But Alex, who has fairies like Fenrir, Phoenix and Bane, certainly doesn't feel anything seeing that, she just feels jealous because she can't replicate what Julie is doing right now.
"I want you to tame something, I'm not sure if this will work, but I think it's worth a shot."
Julie's face was confused. "Defuse something? Do you know the habitat of a wild animal that I haven't domesticated yet?"
"Well, not animals either, rather than explaining it at length," Alex called out to one of the middle-tier fairies, "I'd better show you."
Julie is stunned to see the figure of a creature she has never seen before, the presence of the creature instantly intimidates all of Julie's animals and makes them shrink.
The creature has a gorilla-like shape and posture, only its entire body is made of wood, roots and foliage. It was definitely not an ordinary animal, or perhaps he was indeed not an animal at all.
"Call it a fairy, I can't really explain it either." Answer Alex.
"So this is your real ability? What experiment do you mean? Do you want to show me who's stronger than us?"
Julie is his partner at the Academy, so of course he knows very well what kind of power Alex has, starting from the stories of other students or the ones he sees himself, not once did he find out that Alex had other abilities.
Alex shrugged his shoulders. "You can say no, because using this power is a little risky for me. Solved shows who is stronger ... I don't think I need to show you anything that's obvious, do I?"
Julie's face looked irritated, indeed Alex was stronger than her, but hearing that directly from her person irritated her.
"What do you want?" Julie got to the point.
"Destroy this thing."
"If I could?"
"Yes, you can."
"If not?"
"Yes means no."
"...."
"Let's make a deal, if I can tame it, it'll be mine." Julie's trying to make a deal.
"He's technically tame anyway, his bond with me can't be broken either. If I can do a contract with him, I'll lend it to you." Alex didn't really understand what he was saying, he just wanted to talk, but it just seemed absurd to think about it.
Julie paused for a moment, then shrugged her shoulders. "Alright, nothing to lose either." He walked up to the creature, they then looked at each other like they were communicating through a gaze.
Julie slowly raised her hand and touched the creature's body, a light emerging from the touch as she began to close her eyes.
Moments later, Alex felt the bond between him and the creature weaken, his energy that had been steadily drained in large quantities slowly reduced until it finally stopped draining completely.
"It looks like it worked, doesn't it, Fenrir?"
"True sir."
"I think it worked, huh?" Alex asks Julie who started caressing the creature.
Julie nodded. "But giving it a name drains more energy than I thought."
"You gave him a name?"
"Yes, I give them a name every time I tie a contract." Obviously Julie.
No wonder anyway, just calling him was enough to drain Alex's energy, if this girl could tie a contract without draining energy, maybe she would call one of Bane's subordinates right now.
"What's his name?"
"... Arno."
Alex's face was confused. "Is there a special reason? How come I remember Arno who served in the north."
Julie nodded. "Indeed him."
"Why Arno?" Ask Alex.
"... Somehow, he reminds me of Arno."
"...."
