Chapter 10: Hope (2)

A few days after Alex came back, he was living his life as usual. About the power of light that was said to be a mysterious figure in the abyss, Alex also did not know how to use it, even he did not know what kind of power he got.

Currently, he was in the field, along with friends and some villagers. They're trying to help Alex find his strength as much as they can.

Experiments have been done, all of Alex's friends tell him to do something related to superpowers.

"Maybe you're controlled by your subconscious, and thanks to that you can get out of the abyss somehow. Time is short for you, who knows." Andre who had just arrived suddenly commented.

Alex was silent at the words of his friends, their words were quite reasonable. But everything he saw that day seemed so real, it seemed impossible that it was just a hallucination.

No one makes fun of Alex or thinks he's lying, two weeks gone and coming back with nothing less. Everyone knows something must have happened, though no one is sure what actually happened.

Even some of his friends to look for fantasy books about hero stories, hoping Alex can bring out his power by mimicking what the characters in the story do. Alex's younger brother is one of them, though he puts Alex to death.

Alex stared at the forest before him with many thoughts raging in his head, just then, he realized that there was something that looked like watching him from behind one of the trees in the forest.

"Woi!" Andre patted Alex on the shoulder, making him turn his head in surprise. Alex hurriedly set his eyes on something that was watching him earlier, but it was no longer there.

"You why the hell? Did you see in the woods?" Andre who was curious took his eyes to the direction Alex was looking at, some people also followed him out of curiosity.

"ah! Don't you think that!" Someone exclaimed and pointed at something behind the trees, making everyone turn their gaze to the point where his finger was pointing.

"Allah! Just a hummingbird! You're just disappointed!" Andre punched a frenzied person in the shoulder pointing at something that turned out to be just a hummingbird.

Feeling that there was no hint of Alex's strength, everyone began to disperse and resumed their respective activities.

But Alex was still sitting in his place and continuing to observe the forest, he was sure that something was watching him, no matter what he looked like, but clearly something was staring at him.

As Alex was sweeping his gaze across the forest, his eyes again caught something watching him from behind the trees.

Not wanting to lose track for the second time, Alex ran straight into the forest, towards the trees where something was watching him.

Some people who saw Alex's behavior looked confused, but they immediately ran after Alex, lest he disappear like last time.

Alex ran further and further into the forest, something like driving Alex deeper and deeper. Every time Alex almost reached his place, something always appeared in a deeper place in the forest.

Alex ran even faster, not caring about the calls of the people who caught up with him, he continued to chase after something.

But this time, something no longer appeared to him, Alex turned around and looked for something. That was when, he saw a faint glow radiance from within the forest, more precisely from the lake that was in the middle of the forest.

After they arrived at the lake, they were all speechless after seeing the scene before them.

This lake was not the lake they knew back then, everything looked so heavenly.

Various types of plants that they had never seen before grew in every place around the lake, but what they saw next was completely beyond common sense.

The creatures that they had never seen before roamed around this lake, some resembled animals, moving plants, there were even creatures that looked similar to humans but were very different physically.

The entire being in that place was shrouded in a faint light of various colors, it made everyone gaped at it, as if their consciousness had escaped from themselves shortly after seeing everything in front of them.

While on the edge of the lake, Alex was agape at what was in front of him. In the surroundings where he stood, a figure resembling a human with a small body and wings flying, their bodies emitting a greenish glow.

Then his eyes were fixed on a creature that resembled a wolf, but with tosca-colored fur that also emitted a greenish light. Apparently, that figure was something that had been watching Alex from inside the forest.

The wolf slowly approached Alex, the people who followed Alex exclaimed stifledly as they saw the wolf taller than the adult approaching Alex, they wanted to help Alex but their guts were not enough.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you" A voice rang out from the figure of a small creature that resembled a human yet possessed fish-like physical features, the creature was enveloped in a bluish light and seemed to be swimming in the air. The creature and several similar creatures surround Alex's friends with laughter.

Alex's friends looked calmer, but they were still nervous. Of course, imagine you suddenly encounter an alien in the middle of a forest who can speak human language. Must be ketar-ketir not playing.

"Human, do you want to?" Some human beings with physical characteristics similar to cats bring fruit that looks like apples but with a bluish color. At first they saw a look of rejection from their faces, but seeing the enthusiastic face of the creatures, they became powerless to refuse the gift.

"Eat, it tastes so good." The creature ran away laughing, Alex's friends looked at each other, Andre who was there finally ventured to eat the fruit. One bite left Andre speechless, the others anxious to see Andre's reaction.

But suddenly, Andre went back to devouring the fruit, just a few bites and the fruit ran out. "Snake it bad." Andre's teary eyes stared at the remnants of the fruit with regret.

The others finally decided to taste the fruit, and their reaction was more or less the same as Andre.

"Great boy!" Excite them in unison.

The creature came back to them with a basket filled with fruit and some other types of fruit, immediately Andre and the others devoured the fruits ferociously. "Enak right? You can eat as much, there's more to eat."

Meanwhile, Alex was standing staring at the tosca-colored wolf who was also staring at him. The wolf pressed its forehead against Alex's forehead, a greenish light appeared on Alex's back and left a mark there.

"From now on, you are my master, messenger of light." Alex gasped to hear the wolf speak, but he did not see the wolf's mouth move, as if the voice had appeared inside his head.

"Whatchu mean? Me your master?" Alex looks very confused.

"Because you are the messenger of light, I am your servant, and so are all the fairies in this place."

The wolf lowered its head and bowed before Alex, as Alex circulated his gaze around, all the small human-like creatures and some beast-like creatures approached and bowed before him.

"Use our strength to face all the dangers that threaten humanity, we will always be ready to give all that we have for you, my lord." The wolf looked down deeply at Alex.

"Our master." All the creatures in that place also bowed deeply to Alex who looked dumbfounded and confused.

All the creatures that were previously hiding started to reveal themselves, even some gigantic figures covered in light knelt towards Alex.

Alex's friends were completely dumbfounded, they stared at Alex as if staring at a god descending into the human world. Even Andre almost kowtowed to Alex with a trembling body, it was fortunate that Alex immediately held him back.

"Call us when you need our strength, my lord."

The entire place began to be enveloped in a bright white light. No, rather the entire place was starting to fade away and turn into a vacuum.

They also again found a view of the lake they knew, the lake in the middle of the forest with the sound of frogs and crickets around them, all the weird things they saw a while ago like they were never there.

"What the fuck was that." One of Alex's friends circulated a look with a puzzled face.

All of them looked at Alex who was also no less confused, seeing all the strange creatures that had submitted to Alex made them confused how they should treat Alex in the future.
