Revenge of the Son of the Nobles

Revenge of the Son of the Nobles
Chapter 38: Help

Today, a train came to the steamship station of the city of Pyotr, Ferguson with several military officials there standing at the station door, welcoming the people who would come today.

The doors of the carriage opened, some soldiers descended from the carriage, they were wearing military uniforms that still looked new. This scene reminded Ferguson of the day the newly appointed soldiers arrived by the Alliance, even though their conditions were much worse than this.

Unmistakably, they were aid personnel sent by the Alliance to replace the dead in the southeast. But because the loss of life in the southeast itself is relatively small when compared to the south and north, the number of personnel sent is also not much.

After all the soldiers got down from the carriage, two people wearing very different uniforms were seen.

Both of them were female magicians wearing dark robes, the Department of Magic did not have official uniforms, their identities could only be known with silver badges that they would usually pin on their belts or make necklaces. Usually they also make tattoos with pictures of Magic Department symbols on certain limbs using special ink, although not many do that.

Ferguson gave them a short welcome, then he had some senior soldiers with him direct them to the barracks.

Then he approached the two female magicians and saluted them, the two women replying with the Magic Department's respectful pose.

"Welcome. I'm the officer in charge of the highest command in this place, my name is Joseph Ferguson." Ferguson introduced himself briefly.

"I assume you two are magicians sent by the Department of Magic, right?"

The two women nodded and showed their silver badges.

"My name is Jean Cuivre, a third-ranked member of the Department of Magic." A woman who dyed her long hair in deep red introduced herself.

"I'm Mara Akhundzada, the third-ranked member of the Department of Magic." This time the woman with short hair dyed in white introduced herself.

One of the magicians' habits in the Department of Magic was to dye their hair, originally it was done so that they would become easily recognizable. But over time, coloring hair actually becomes a kind of trend in some circles.

"Thank you for fulfilling our call, I didn't think the Magic Department would send out two high-ranking members, I guess now surviving a demon attack would be easier with your help."

One of the women smiled faintly, "You're overdoing it, we're still not comparable to the senior members and the higher-ups."

Ferguson laughed, "Well, witches are witches, you can do something that we can't do, so I hope to work with you in the future." She shook their hands one by one and saluted once more before leaving them, one senior female soldier then directed the two of them towards the female barracks.

The Western Defense Post

The Gold Class men sent to the western outpost were Edwin Gallagher, Vincent Acier d'Argent, Egmont Festhart, Julie Blanc Levesque, Hakam bin Thariq.

They were resting on the training ground with a few others after a joint training session in the morning.

"I can't believe we're the only ones who can still breathe a sigh of relief to this day." Julie said as she wiped the sweat on her face and neck using a small towel.

"Because I had a bad impression of the west, I thought I would have a very troublesome situation once I arrived." Edwin responded.

"We, Edwin. You're a very individualist without your own noticing." Egmont pierced Edwin's stomach with a training sword, though he wore leather armor, but Egmont's stab was hard enough to make him grimace in pain.

"Although that's the case, I never thought Brian and Adrian would be the first victims of everyone." Hakam joined the chat.

After several times Theodore came to the west in his patrol rotation, they learned that the west was still safe today. The news brought Theodore managed to shake the west and became the topic of their conversation for days.

Southeast lost Brian McGray and has twice received attacks from the undead, the south being battered by iron puppets and receiving untold losses with the death of Adrian Cornivus Duterte, the north did not escape the attacks of these creatures.

"It may still be understandable if the victim was a classmate of Brian McGray, let alone he died of a surprise attack." Vincent made his comment.

Julie stared strangely at Vincent, "You're terrible, your words seem to demean Brian, as if he should have died." He made a speculation too far.

"Hey, I'm just saying my opinion! You yourself just said something terrible!" karen Vincent did not accept.

They also fought each other, even though they were both sons of nobles from the same country, they did not reflect the attitude of nobles at all.

Even Vincent is very fond of drinking in cheap bars and participating in street fighting contests, sometimes accidentally disbanding a group of fighters when suddenly a bodyguard unit from his family comes to pick him up, the men mistakenly thought they were about to be evicted or arrested.

It was because he came from the family of Duke Acier d'Argent, a high-class noble family in his country. So when the men saw the symbol of the Acier d'Argent family in the uniforms of the knights, they immediately ran away in a storm. Nothing good happens if you get involved with nobles.

They just misunderstood. But yeah, that's it.

Meanwhile, the duel between Edwin and Egmont had already ended with Edwin coming out victorious.

"You're too early to fight Edwin." Hakam banged up to Egmont who seemed annoyed by his defeat, "I still can't beat him, so just relax," he continued, trying to comfort Egmont.

Edwin was indeed very strong, other than because he mastered Aura and had great fighting techniques, his power of light that allowed him to see things many times slower made him always have an edge in battle.

"Argh! The acceleration of the mind was a power that was too fraudulent!" Egmont drew his sword at Edwin many times, but it was easy for Edwin to avoid it.

Julie, Vincent and Hakam laughed out loud at that, Egmont has a high sportsmanship spirit, he hates defeat. But the problem is that he always chooses opponents who are too strong for him to handle.

For example, when at the Academy, he had challenged terrible people like Ferdinand and Alicia, of course you can guess what happened after. Even he made Raymond a fuss when he lost against Alicia ... You guys understand what that means, right?

As they were making a fuss, suddenly a military official walked into the training area with a panicked face.

"The devil appears in the city of Monsa!"

"!!!"
