"Papa has many shortcomings. You must have known that." Giacomo began grimly, when he, Alessandro, and Lombardi had finished watching the CCTV footage. "I will not justify Papa's actions. But, I wouldn't blame him a hundred percent either. You made a lot of mistakes with him too, Alessandro. I can sense that you and Carlotta do love each other, but the way you got my sister is definitely wrong."
Alessandro held his head which still felt heavy and said nothing.
Giacomo. "But, Papa's actions threatened Carlotta that he would kill you and your son, that's also a big mistake. One thing's for sure, Papa's not a killer. If any one of us all ever and is capable of killing people, it's me."
Alessandro's mind was spinning fast.
"So, Papa's threat is definitely just a joke." Giacomo tried to convince Alessandro. "In spite of that, I'll hand over the decision to punish Papa for his actions to the authorities, if that's what you want."
Alessandro. "I want him crouching in the bars."
Giacomo. "The jail on charges of assault order and death threats won't be long."
Alessandro looked at Giacomo annoyed. "Then, can you watch him properly after he's out of prison?"
"All right." Giacomo agrees.
Alessandro took his mind off Rocco, and returned his focus to Carlotta. He signaled Lombardi to approach. "Close all flights from home to abroad tonight."
Lombardi almost cursed, but managed to hold him back. "That's impossible, Signor."
"Then do something so Carlotta and my son can't leave Italy!" Alessandro roared furiously.
Lombardi was polite. "We can ask the airport to issue a ban for Mrs Carlotta to fly."
"Do that!" Alessandro exclaimed impatiently. I don't know how long he's been unconscious. How many hours have passed since Rocco threatened Carlotta? It's night now. Alessandro could only pray that Carlotta would not do anything reckless.
Lombardi immediately exited the suite and made several calls to parties who could carry out his master's goals. Shortly thereafter, Lombardi returned with a remorseful look.
"Mrs Carlotta is gone, Signor." Lombardi.
Alessandro was about to jump to his feet in anger, but Giacomo held him back easily. "Be careful with your head. You better get some rest first." Giacomo.
Alessandro did feel his head instantly throbbing painfully once again. But the man doesn't care. Carlotta is gone? That woman could just leave!
"Where?" Alessandro asked riled.
"New York, Signor."
Alessandro curses quietly. "You've turned a plane around, haven't you? Do it again." The man said to Lombardi.
Lombardi. "The plane Mrs Carlotta was boarding landed in New York an hour ago, Signor."
"Damn it!" Alessandro clenched his hands tightly.
Giacomo was concerned to see the state of his sister-in-law. "Just calm down, Alessandro. Carlotta is safe in New York. He'll be at his mother's house. Where else could he go? You better recuperate first. You need to rest for at least a week before you fully recover."
"Sunday?" Alessandro repeated angrily. "You make me have to lie down for a week?"
Giacomo. "Technically not me. Just my men."
Giacomo ignored Alessandro who was still grumbling. He turned to Lombardi and smiled kindly. "You're all welcome here. My staff has opened the room. Stay comfortable for as long as you need."
"Thank you, Signor Giacomo." Lombardi nodded.
"Wait a minute." Alessandro said before Giacomo walked away. "Teach my security forces that technique."
Giacomo. "What technique?"
Alessandro turned the eyeball. "Technics cripples opponents, of course."
Giacomo laughed out loud. "You mean, the technique of attacking street people?"
Alessandro.
"Be careful with your request, Alessandro. After this your security forces won't fight in a dignified manner anymore." Giacomo grin wide.
Alessandro reply grin. "That's what I need."

Carlotta had a dream to go to America. He had a desire to pursue a career in Hollywood. On her wedding day, her mother invited her to visit. Carlotta initially intended to bring Maurizio and Alessandro to visit his mother later when Maurizio was at least a year old. Not this fast and definitely not in this kind of condition.
Carlotta put Alessandro's thick coat on him. The soft, intoxicating fragrance of her husband still envelops her to this day, and it strengthens her heart a little.
Marco handed Maurizio to Carlotta. "I'll take the trunk."
Carlotta said yes, then looked for an empty chair and sat there hugging the baby. John F Airport. Kennedy was never quiet. Especially in the winter and holiday season like this. People are busy passing by. Everything seems to have a definite purpose. Meanwhile, Carlotta had absolutely no shadow of where her life would be after this.
Can he get divorced? Can he part with Alessandro?
The thought of Alessandro making his tears come back up. It hasn't been twelve hours since she last met her husband. How could he feel so missed? And this longing stifles the chest. Make it congested.
Maurizio looked at her with big round eyes in a beautiful bright blue. The baby did not cry at all, was not fussy, and was very calm during the trip. Carlotta was so grateful. Because if Maurizio had cried just once, Carlotta knew he would have cried with the baby.
Marco Bruni returned shortly afterwards, with several large suitcases. The man hired the services of a porter. "You ready, Carlotta? I've booked a cab."
Carlotta hugged the baby tighter and nodded. "Yes. Come on."
After the porters put their suitcases into the trunk of the taxi, Carlotta and Marco boarded the car.
"Where shall I escort you, Ladies and gentlemen?" The taxi driver asked politely.
"City Spire Apartment." Carlotta mentioned the apartment that her mother and Signor Benito lived in. The couple owned the entire floor of the Penthouse in City Spire. From what Carlotta heard, the apartment was amazing.
"Okay, Madam." The taxi driver immediately ran his vehicle.
Marco nudged Carlotta and smiled cheeringly. "Let's look out the window, honey. This is the first time we've both been to New York. I think I like this town. How's yours?"
Carlotta looked at the window. New York is busy. A city that never sleeps. The foreign language. The foreigners. To be honest, all she wanted right now was to return to Rome and be in her husband's arms.
Or an ex-husband? Is he officially divorced now?
Carlotta closed her tired eyes. "Yes, New York looks good."
"We can take a walk to see the Statue of Liberty or Central Park tomorrow." Marco is still chattering cheerfully. "Don't think of anything and just enjoy where life takes us, Carlotta."
Carlotta nodded weakly. "I'm trying."
