Alessandro's grandparents flew straight to Rome from their summer vacation at Lake Como to hear the chaos of the Baby Shower party. They arrived at the hospital just as Alessandro started banging his head against the hospital wall. When Lombardi had succeeded in persuading Alessandro to be more calm and willing to sit down, Alessandro's grandparents immediately approached their grandchildren.
"Alessandro, are you okay?" Grandma asked.
Alessandro did not even look up when he realized that there were people approaching. He still supported his head with both hands, because his head felt as if it would explode due to stress.
Alessandro's grandmother turned to Lombardi. "What's really going on?"
Lombardi told me everything he knew at the Baby Shower. When he got to the part of one of Carlotta's friends fell bouncing on Carlotta, Alessandro's grandmother and grandfather gasped in horror.
"How's Carlotta doing now?" Grandpa Alessandro asked. "What about our great-grandchildren?"
Lombardi pointed to the operating room. "There's no word from inside there, Signor."
After a while, Alessandro stood up and gripped his grandfather's arm. "Grandfather, you're a very powerful man. Please ask the doctor in there to do whatever it takes to save Carlotta. I won't be able to live until something happens to my wife!"
Grandpa Alessandro nodded. "Swimming, Son. The doctor will do his best. Don't worry."
Alessandro turned around and snorted. He was not at all satisfied with that answer. "Lombardi, come!"
Lombardi immediately approached Alessandro. "Yes, Signor?"
Alessandro pointed at the operating room door. "Get in there and tell the team doctor that I'll give them whatever they want as long as they can save Carlotta."
Lombardi nodded firmly. "We must not interfere with the operation, Signor."
Alessandro grabbed his own hair in frustration. "Isn't there anything we can do? I want everyone to try to save Carlotta!"
Alessandro's grandmother approached her grandson and said calmly. "Pray, Son. We can pray for the safety of your wife and son."
Alessandro looked at his grandmother sharply. "I'd be mad at God if He dared to take Carlotta away from me."
His grandmother immediately gasped. "Son, you can't say that..."
Alessandro's grandfather better understood his granddaughter's circumstances. It seemed, the blood of Ferrara flowing within his granddaughter was indeed very thick. Just as he was willing to do anything for Helena Ferrara, and the same with his son, Alessandro's father, who would rather die than marry another woman he did not love, Alessandro must have felt an equally strong feeling for Carlotta.
"Silence, son, calm down. You believe me, right?" Grandpa Alessandro held his shoulders and looked at his grandson's eyes straight. "Carlotta will be fine. So is your son."
Alessandro's view was initially unfocused. His eyes were filled with anger and fear. Now, after a bit of focus, Alessandro's eyes turned to glassy. The man hugged his grandfather tightly. "I'm so scared, Cake. I'm so scared." His word. His voice is full of emotion.
Alessandro did not answer. He closed his eyes and prayed fervently. If God still had mercy for him, he hoped that his request would be granted this time. He wanted Carlotta and their son to survive. That's all it is.

"Your baby's a boy, Signor!" A doctor came out of Carlotta's operating room holding a tiny baby that had been cleaned and covered in thick. The baby was crying hard.
Alessandro froze where he stood. His heart beat faster hearing the sound of the baby crying. Cold sweat kept coming out on his face and neck. "What about Carlotta?!"
Alessandro's grandmother had come forward and approached the baby. "Oh, Oh my God. She's so small! What a handsome baby!"
The doctor smiled at Alessandro. "Mrs Carlotta will be fine, Signor. The critical period has passed. He had a heavy hemorrhage, but everything was resolved. He'll still bleed for the next month or two. So you have to be patient."
Alessandro felt a heavy weight lifted from his heart. His body instantly suffocated as if it had just stopped getting heavy torment. The man fell to his knees on the floor and thanked God.
Ciara, Carina, and Marco Bruni soon join Alessandro's grandmother to see the baby. The three of them had stopped crying fearfully now. But they still cry. Happy crying.
"He's really small!" Ciara Seru. "May I carry him, Doctor?"
The doctor smiled. "Of course, but later. Now, I'm gonna take her to the nursery and put her in the incubator first."
The best obstetrician in Rome, an elderly man named Frederico di Maggio, approached Alessandro who was still kneeling on the floor. "You can see your son for a while before I take him. Or do you want to carry it?"
Alessandro shook his head slowly. His hands are still shaking. He was not confident to hold a small baby. But he forced himself to rise. Giacomo helped him stand up. The two men looked at the face of the baby who was still crying loudly.
The sound of crying sounded so beautiful in the ears of the two of them.
"He's got blue eyes like me." Giacomo said proudly. "He's really my strong nephew."
Doctor Frederico nodded. "He was a strong baby. She was only twenty-nine weeks old when she was born, but her weight was ideal. He also had a strong and passionate voice."
Alessandro looked at the baby in amazement. Her hair was not brown like her. Only blondes are darker than Carlotta hair color. His eyes were clear blue, not hazel like Alessandro's. However, his overall facial features were very similar to Alessandro's.
Alessandro's grandmother confirmed it when she said, "His face is very similar to your father when he was born, son. My son is only one. I can't possibly forget what he was like at birth."
Alessandro started crying. With her fingers shaking, she held the baby's tiny hand. The baby slowly stopped crying.
"He knows his father!" Giacomo. "My great niece, you should know your uncle too!"
Alessandro cried even harder. His voice was hoarse and raucous. Oh God. He did not expect to get through this hard day and got a very beautiful gift. A baby boy. The baby is perfect. The baby is probably his son. Roberto Mancini was there, but the man did not react at all to the presence of the baby. 'He can't possibly be the father of this baby, can he?' Thought Alessandro was happy.
Giacomo patted his back hard. "You are now a father, Alessandro. You must be a good father to my nephew."
Alessandro looked at the baby. Yep. No matter whose son he was, Alessandro swore he would be the best father for baby Carlotta. He will try hard. He promised he would do anything for Carlotta and the baby.
